He died and was buried there, but then Hitler exhumed his remains and send it back to France where it is entombed up to this day in the Hôtel des Invalides.
I absolutely hate that you have to buy an add-on to fly to St. Helena since it doesnt exist in the base game. This is a major L for MSFS2020 the airport was built in 2016 and has been talked so widely in the media. At least the add-on is pretty well detailed with an inside terminal for only $10.99 but I'll still wait and see if it goes on sale anytime soon before buying it.
You can try looking for free add-ons. Some just make the taxiways and runway without terminal building, though that is fine if you just want to fly there.
