Glad you enjoyed the builds!
I enjoyed them too
we'll check out your channel!
Spicy builds, you cook well 🔥
That is some finely cured cheese. Love it!
Is that THE GOSU_Reaper ? 😮
Respect 🫡
That spine crawler wandering randomly through the Terran base is the funniest shit.
And I thought only Terran can scout with buildings.
Check out @GOSU_Reaper if you enjoyed his builds ^_^
uthermal finally playing a standard zerg opening is strangely heartwarming to me- the only player that can teach a cheese player to play a better macro game... is an even better cheese player xDDDD
The queen drop on creep is a work of art.
Your excitement for the games is infectious - don't even play sc2. Your uploads make my day. Keep em coming!
9:41 poor zergling got sent to space
Zerbal Space Program =)
That was frustrating watching the Gerald game.. you could’ve depowered the front wall with the first round of ravagers. He would’ve had about 10probes and 2gates after the first skirmish too.
By now, thermi is my favorite sc2 "commentator" ❤
he replaced all the gsl content
Remember to walk your spines so they grow healthy and relaxed
Only just a void ray, ingame yea, in lore a void rays standard attack is the solar lance from the campagne.
uThermal, i just want to let you know you are my favorite content creator, these ESL tournaments are your PEAK content in my opinion. thank you for doing these! i want to see you win one of them!!
That scouting spine crawler...LOL, too funny!
Thanks for all the videos and fun game play.
Question: when doing series vs the same person, how much time do you have between games? Just a few minutes, to allow each person to check the replay?
People don't usually check the replay, its more like 30 seconds or a minute
@@uThermal Thanks! Gives a little more insight to your series! Keep it up.
Bro imagine the epicness if you win a tournament using a crazy cheese.
yeah, I'd love to see them vs top pros
That's some well aged smelly cheese, my favorite
FLAVOR TOWN
Gonna watch this tonight, I love a good cheese with dinner
great bid but you need to be shredding the protosses wall early and take out the cyber core when he has a few stalkers only to prevent him making more and open the wall. also gotta take advantage of the split second mistakes where he moves the units out of the gate. and you swarm in and surround instantly and block gate
love this thumbnail pic :) -TheUnholyGhost
That spine crawler cheese is something else.
somehow the walking spines is the most BM thing ever like "heres all these resources that i could have spent on a dozen lings"
The "XD" while blocking the ramp with them was cruel
Yeah 3800 is only Diamond though, I'm sure he fully expected to get clowned on.
You should do more ling drop into 1 base nydus swarm host, one of my favorite cheeses of all time and so fun.
That is an absolute classic cheese
oh man these dancing spines almost had me spit out my breakfast XD
"Well, gg" I think Geralt died inside.
I felt for the guy. Clearly not the games he wanted to play.
A little provolone, a little cheddar.. magnifique
Was your friend who failed the spine rush harstem by any chance?
wait Mapu is still spectating these games?!?! holy cow i wonder how he is doing!
Wonderful! Truly wonderful
What I really love about your videos, are that you explain things for noobs, or people like me who just watch SC2, even though the game has been out for years. I love how you explain how the game works, and all the details about the mechanics. Your videos are so good, it's addictive. Thank you @uThermal
Simon the Explorer Spine was born
At this point, if you play standard it is kinda a cheese, because cheese is expected so much. Mega mind games!
Lol just play long boring macro games against people who know what to expect XD
I thought Džerald didnt sound like a polish name, then I read Gerald and was liek - ā the nederlander cant read.
Shrimp and Cheese? 🦐🧀
this is my holy bible of playing zerg from now..
Epic stuff :D
Great builds
When I Zerg, you Zerg, we Zerg. Now put your Lurkers up on my hips! Cuz when I Zerg, you Zerg, we zerg! ❤
i never build droppalord...i tryed burrow worker block eco, whats i good time stealer, proxy hatch also....nice too see that chees :D
For some reason everytime Marc says "The next game" or the "the second game", I keep hearing Harstem's voice. Listen at 21:19
That first protoss game, i why would you not target the pylons with bile over the units? That would be guaranteed damage ans possibly supplyblock him. Also, your OV's kept flying in ^^
Your friend must be the cheesiest man alive lol
Damn, that 2nd game made me laugh so hard, with the spine crawlers...
Marc, I don't know you, not really, but I want you to know this: we fuckin' love you. If you ever feel pressure to... do more for your community, don't. Whatever really makes you happy, relaxed. I understand how it is, but if you ever need to just "fuck it", and leave for a month for recreation, we will be here, okay?? :) ;)
Love from Hungary ;)
Well, huh, I agree with the sentiment, but I'd also much rather have videos than not. If he stops posting, no one will watch the absence of content.
@@momom6197 Higher quality content > consistent content posted regularly.
Marc provides both, but I'd absolutely rather higher quality content.
What makes a strategy a cheese vs. standard?
The close game with ravengers you should have just killed his cyber core and pylons. Pylons first, then cyber core so he cant fight you. Home base make workers, proxy base make a queen and only use for army after you kill the pylons. Even if he gets a tiny breather, you would still have more stuff than him. The worst thing you can do is trade units into a 4gate.
Looks like the zerg ravager strat is too hard against Protoss' wall in the natural.
I feel like Marcq's biggest weakness is not trying to start building up workers and bases again when an attack doesn't finish his opponent. Legit has so much present of mind but at some point just focuses tunnels too hard on the cheese and the micro.
Also literally the only flaw I have seen in dozens of hours of videos so far, but that's probably the one thing he could actively work on.
I agree, I feel like the game he lost with Gerald could have switched into a full macro game or something similar if he had cut his looses early
@@cuddlecakes7153 he's so used to challenges he commits to the cheese.
@@cuddlecakes7153 I think that's unlikely. The build was so all-in, to the point where his base wasn't even saturated. In those cases, the momentum is with the player who successfully defended.
I think the ravenger push where he GG's over an oricle, why not just make 1 queen at the proxy base and keep pushing?
I'm trying a variation where I send in the roaches immediately, then convert to Ravager when they are in yellow or red HP. Free healing ftw!
Extra points if they waste attacks on the cocoons.
imagine the third game without the 4 sacrificial overlords
2nd game, could he move overlord to drop creep?
I wonder how many tournaments you'll need to play in for the truly unexpected strategy to be a standard macro game!
Hello, GeoKilla.
More Zerg!
47:47 did he destroy his own gate?
hello geokilla XD
Just to be sure you are aware of it I'll say it and I'm sorry if you knew already: It doesn't cost anything to cancel a zergling (or w/e else is brooding in an egg), the larva will spawn instantly again and you'll regain the resources too
I am plat level player, recently came back to sc2(played on wings of liberty) and I got so mad that I wanted to quit, because out of 20 games I played the day. 19 of them were short cheese games where my oponents just cheesed me, as a proper Zerg I adapted but it is not fun to cheese every game and play cheese vs cheese all day long. Does it become better at higher skill level? is it a plat thing ? Anyone know the solution ? is there a Zerg build where it forces macro game ? I am the type of player that likes to play a full long match where you have skirmishes and fights but also economy is important and not just build every game some kind of roach rush or muta rush or any of this. I got back to back cheesed against any race it drives me insane so I am here watching Zerg cheeses just to play the game so I can cheese too. But its not fun for me. PLEASE HELP!
you sure showed those gold shitters
uThermascarpone
Wit nuv tchuises.
Hello Geokilla
I love unusual zerg. Just why play "normal" zerg when you can use all potential?
@uThermal @GOSU_Reaper. Now what i don't understand in a lot of cheese builds is why you don't try to incorporate things like sliding 1-2 drones in, here and there while your doing the cheese for example. If during that push you made ravagers/zerglings every time you made a set of units or every other set why not make just 1 drone or 2. When you go back in the replay at 20:50 ish you even see you had a ton of minerals and a few larva, if they had been drones in a few different instances you wouldn't be 11 probes to 13 drones, it would be more along the lines of 11 to 16/17. because you were not making drones but a few slipped out.
Also building a queen is essentially building a barracks as terran, how do you not for injects.
🧀 🧀 🧀
i made a comment for the algorythm
i would like you to play standard in these tournaments but maybe im the minority. it would be nice to see you play versus clem
Seems like EVERYTHING is a cheese....
hello geokilla
Just think how many times you could have won on the def and you give up just cause you lost a lot of units while attacking
Those Ravager all-ins are a waste of time.
There's a bunch of other Zerg rushes that are far superior.
Zerg cheeses are nice but tbh I prefer terran and protoss cheeses.
Sometimes you GG way too early
In the first game against Gerald, I'm not sure why you didn't just try to destroy the 3 front buildings from the start. It's always ~450 minerals down the drain and 2 less gateways your opponent can produce from. Use ravager biles just to keep your opponent's units from engaging while you destroy the buildings, only then move on to pylons. Have the choke work against your opponent, not against you.
you missing the biles three times on the pylons in g1 vs gerald was painful
I never liked 1 base builds. Ends the game too quickly win/lose.
Your ZvP needs to kill more pylons. You had all those games won if you just kill the artosis pylon and put them in crisis. You just traded poorly and let him get his defenses up.
I really hate cheesers...nothing against the strat just not my play style. I do enjoy getting better and better and trying to figure out its cheese and defend it properly. But man i hate cheesers.
Buttttt there really funny to watch.😂😂
you look so uncomfortable in the thumbnail lol
I think you have to keep trickling more ravagers early on in the rush. Otherwise you can't single shot things with the biles.
every time you say "I don't know" this is what I think of. ua-cam.com/video/8MeJWRIpi4A/v-deo.htmlsi=PBDvKvDEebSHe5it&t=25.
I know English isn't your fist language and I'm impressed. This isn't me mocking you.
forst
Argh almost made it xD
So close
Trash player can't even make it out of 16. Where is Special to humiliate him again. Get that Special trauma again
2 errors in 1st game vs Gerald : Not depowering the gates with your biles and not finishing (just one bile missing) the cybernetic core. I was raging so much watching you not winning.
You are giving up too much. You have no ability to transition to macro?
You just gave up the whole match because he made one air unit? You could've just overwhelmed him completely with ground units. That made zero sense.
A single oracle will take out a bunch of lings+ravagers quickly. And more would soon be on the way; faster than he could tech switch to hydras/mutas or build enough queens to matter. Thermi also was on a single base, not fully saturated. Yes, he probably could have dragged it out for 5 more minutes, at a severe disadvantage on econ and tech, only to lose on macro. In that case, if you can get that read soon enough, better to save your wrists and your morale and just move on to the next game.
This is the least interesting thing I’ve ever seen.
