60K! So happy for you guys. Neal (sorry if you're Neil...I forget...), you have great camera presence and are a really good presenter. Amy, love how you participate in the videos. You guys make a great team (yes I've said it before, but bears repeating). Onward to 100k soon!!! Jim in FL
Once again a great video. Appreciated the PSA about not using foil pans for safety concerns. If you drizzle some of your marinade into your flour dredge it will cause an even more craggy coating onto the chicken if that is a desire. 😊
That chicken looks absolutely awesome. And thanks for the tip on deep-frying on the griddle. I have yet to, as I do not trust the foil pans and not real keen on cleaning up oil from everywhere. The cast iron pan is an excellent solution. Thanks for that.
Just did your spatchcocked turkey for this Thanksgiving and it killed! Everyone loved it👍👍👍... Next up is the spicy chicken sandwich AWESOME... keep the vids coming.. You guys rock!
I agree...just a tip that wasn't clear as it should have been..while dredging in flour I keep flipping and letting it sit just a few longer to absorb more flour...this helps to get there with the double dredging.
Another good one and another finger bit. When will you learn?? Learning so much from you, especially liking the sauces. Hope you're Thanksgiving was great!
The Flot Top Sandwich King strikes again!!! Dude, sriracha hot honey mayo? Speaking my language!!! The powdered sugar was a total pro move!!! Loved the banter with you and Amy, Happy Thanksgiving to you both!! Exceptional as always bud!!
Looks FABULOUS! I've made them in my black iron before....we loved them spicy. I do chicken breast with mine. The sauce looked killer! I will have to give it a try soon! :)
thanks so much...in this specific recipe the dredge was not as spicy but the sauce held the heat...thats where you can make up a ton of heat...thanks for commenting
That was one good looking chicken sandwich. The thorough preparation of the ingredients just nailed it as far as what we can imagine the taste buds were experiencing. Awesome tips as far as the type skillet to use, the oils and the holding rack to keep the coating from getting soggy. Also love the tips on being safe with the hot oil. Not sure if you ever mentioned this before, but I think "Everyone" cooking from time to time should talk about fire extinguishers and show where they keep theirs. I say this from a close family member having a grease fire that could have been a lot worse than what it was. Also I would suggest having your awesome wife incorporated into more videos. You do a great job as is but I just am always thinking growth and the pursuit of advancement. Just me I guess. Awesome Job!
Thanks bud...have you had a chance to use yours yet...yeah in a recent video last year we had a big todo about it..and a fire extinguisher was not mentioned but Definitely needs to...I have to remember that.
@@TheFlatTopKing My son seasoned mine for me in his oven on his outside patio. He has a 4 burner one with an air fryer. It really looks awesome. He actually did a video doing some burgers. I told him I could have ate them burgers for thanksgiving After seeing mine seasoned so well Blackstone seems to be the bomb. But I am going by my observation of all your videos and his 2 videos he just put out. I am pretty sure I will love mine either way. Hopefully get half as good as you on it then maybe move on up like "The Jefferson's" cuz Fish don't fry in the kitchen Beans don't burn on the grill took a whole lotta trying just to get up that hill and in the end "We finally got a piece of the pie"
Looks good. I never have considered sugar in my batter. I think I might try it and see if it's something I want to do. I learn something new every day. Of course, at my age, I usually forget it by supper. 🤣
Damn, Neal! Those looked great! Not a fan of "hot, hot", but I can see how these could easily be made less spicy. And thanks for all the "PSA's" today...great pro tips! I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving.
This is awesome. I made BBQ chicken thighs to make sandwiches for lunch. They were so good. Probably the best chicken sandwich I have ever made. I usually use breast meat if I want a sandwich, but I have been using skinless boneless thighs more than anything in the past year because breast meat is just not very flavorful. And thighs never seem to overcook. Salt, garlic and black pepper with Cattlemen's Carolina Tangy Gold.
Sorry but not all recipes make the list...we are just so busy with normal jobs, kids, and youtube the website only gets some hand selected recipes, since this one was technically not on the griddle we chose not to...One thing I suggest is to replay the video and press pause to write down measurements...sorry for that

Hey thanks so much for the support. Make sure you save enough money for the house next door thats for sale...ahhahaahhaa Happy Thanksgiving to you as well
What kind of oil did you fry with? I'm always hesitant to fry because oil is expensive and I feel like I'm wasting so much money. Happy Thanksgiving. Love your content.
couple of things if you do not already know...sorry if you do. Learn to reuse your oil to stretch it ...I actually filmed a short video to post later about this topic...it will stretch the expense of the oil with multiple uses. That being said I typically fry 2 kinds...peanut and a mix of canola and vegetable depending on the average temp..peanut can average higher like on this cook Thanks for the support Justin and Happy Thanksgiving
Well you will see alot of copycats on chick f ila use pickle juice in the brine or marinade. Thats the closest they get to the flavor...They have repeatedly said they do not brine their chicken in pickle juice its the chemicals that mix together that makes it similar. With that being said....I like it and the salt in the juice helps flavor the meat
OH, something else I wanted to share...I have found with sandwiches like this, if you put the lettuce on the bottom bun before the chicken, burger, bacon, whatever...it helps keep the sauce and juices from making a soggy mess out of the bottom bun.
Have you posted your hot sauce recipe? I cannot find it on UA-cam or at your website under the recipes. Not the sriracha sauce on the sandwich (which is in the video), but the hot sauce you talked about and put in the marinade. Thanks
I don't tend to fry chicken. I typically just dry brine overnight with Diamond Crystal kosher salt before I vacuum seal or cook it, and I spray each side with avocado oil then season with a rub I mix up and keep in a shaker: 6 parts freshly ground black pepper 3 parts smoked paprika 3 parts onion powder 3 parts garlic powder 1.5 parts celery seed 1 part cayenne pepper
