honestly if u read his 10 page manifesto explaining his static and think it sounds cool you'll probably get along with him. don't see the issue even if id never join myself
"We don't want people who treat the raid like a job." We just want you to committed to 6 hours days, 3 days a week. You know... Like a part-time job. And we expect you to "participate with the community and your static members WELL AND BEYOND THE HOURS LISTED ABOVE." (without compensation). Got kids and/or a family? Too bad. Got other shit to do, including real work at your actual job? Too bad. We are hiri-- I mean, recruiting you, and giving you a bunch of expectations that you are required to meet, or you're fired. I mean... Kicked out of the static... When you set too many expectations, don't be surprised when there are very few people who can actually meet them. You're looking for people who don't want to treat it like a job, but you're giving them a fucking 20+hr/wk job to do. Make up your mind.
@@josephshrike3972 He set the days and times on his days off. The guy's simply looking for others with similar mindset and availability, it's not that deep.
I know System Sempai, He always led raids in the BA discord it was hell. He got kicked out as leader because of his micromanagement. I once ran into him at the wolves' den, and he is a player who is adamantly against joining FCs he called them Gimmicks for the sheep. I asked him to join my FC if I beat him in a duel. He said I had no chance to beat him, so he agreed. I did infact beat him...he then blacklisted me and teleported away. The dude is a unique individual to say the least.
Ohhh, is he one of "those" people? The FFXI players that just hate any part of XIV that isn't like XI, so linkshells are fine, but f*ck FCs? I thought they died out years ago, they used to be common back in 1.0 and ARR.
Back in 5.5 I joined his pf (and Waffle House discord) to prog Diamond EX and learn SoS EX. He had this smooth pilot-on-the intercom-voice for callouts, but he acted rather aggressive if you messed up. Seemed impatient and I got weird vibes from him. He also hated gunbreakers specifically and the insistence on tenacity melding was real. Seeing this vid on him now is funny but not shocking.
8 man run = 2 chests... that's 2 chest / 8 players = 1 chest per 4 players... 1 8 man run everyone rolls, they split on 2 chests. 4 people from that group then run with the 4 left, they get 1 chest because 4 people is the cutoff for a chest. Its still the same math though 1 chest per 4 players... So actually he's not "technically wrong" you're getting the same number of chests per player even if you do it this way. First problem. The chests aren't the same. For like P5S Chest 1 and Chest 2 have identical loot, but for every other run, the loot is different on the chests... You can still make it work by carefully choosing who rotates through what, but whatever loot is located in the 2nd chest is going to be about 33% less frequent with this format, which depending on the loot will have repercussions in the long run (On the final fight of the tier in particular it could be REALLY problematic). As for how to deal with absenses, ANY absence = PF in a group like this, just like a normal group. Why? Well unless 4 people are absent exactly, in order to ensure loot for group 2, group 1 needs to PF. Basically, Group 1 PF's the number of absent players, and then when they are done, a few players get to peace out and 4 players that just cleared then have to go take the other 4 players who didn't clear in on the run... Overall? Horrible waste of time... That's a LOT of time with a LOT of people sitting around doing shit because this guy has a weird stick up his ass... One hour sitting around beforehand? 30 minute break mid-fight? 4 hour sessions with only 2/3rds playing at any one time (Effectively another hour and 20 minutes wasted if you do the math from each players perspective)? Then you have required time after session, and I can't imagine it being less than 30 minutes? 3 days a week? Minimum, thats 3 hours and 20 minutes of NOT doing anything PER NIGHT, adding up to 6 hours and 40 minutes of mandatory NOT progging for 2 night weeks, and 10 hours of MANDATORY time wasting if you are doing it 3 times a week. You know how good most people would get just PFing for an additional 10 hours per week? They would stomp this static in no time if someone just spent the time they waste progging... Its a garbage system, and this guy is an idiot... But... Technically... 2 chests with 8 people and 3 chests with 12 people still equals 1 chest per 4 people... The only thing he technically got right (Even though the first and second chest aren't equivalent in most fights).
Allegedly there’s a rare chance for a run with 4 cleared player to still drop 2 chests? I've never personally seen it because I don't do anything other than 2-chest runs or C41 runs.
@@sneakychopstick I can't say for certain but I'm gonna guess whatever they're alleging only occurred prior to patch 4.45. "4.x The following adjustments have been made to address an issue with weekly raid rewards: If a raid is started before the weekly reset time─Tuesday at 8:00 (GMT)─but completed after, rewards will no longer count toward the limit for the new week. The number of coffers that appear will still be based on the reward status of party members prior to entering the duty. The number of coffers that will appear will now be displayed upon entering the duty." So prior to these changes a group could go in around weekly reset expecting to get 1 chest but end up with 2 because when they cleared it was technically considered a new week. They then spread a rumor about a random chance to get 2 chests because they didn’t understand how the system worked. Et voila.
Oooooh so with 8 players an 8 alts you do : 4 main 4 alt, funnel 2 chests to the 4 main (1chest per 2 player) Next clear you swap 4 alt 4 main, funnel the two chests to the players that didn't get one previously (1 chest per 2 players) Meaning 4 chests for the team for the week
And also with this system it would still be a 6 chest per week WITH ROTATIONS so at this rate, you better create 4 alts to have 8 chest and it would be a lot more viable, the fact he wants to stay like this is just another waste of time but this time 1/4 of the week wasted
I remember this guy from Stormblood. He was on primal and went by Zenny Zimba back then. He spent a lot of time in Eureka and made a lot of macros to tell people which fate to pop next. A lot of people actually appreciated that because it saved them the effort of having to track the respawn timers. I also remember being in some BA runs with him. I don't want to speak on THAT part too much because my memory is a little hazy on what exactly went down, but at the very least I remember him not being too fond of the actual savage/ultimate raiders who led the BA runs. And to be fair, some of them had a bit of an ego, but most of them were just normal players. This was 4 years ago and I haven't heard of him since. Make of that what you will.
@@KMark2688 I would have never imagined in a million years that he was likely to be married based upon the interactions I had with him. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but just something I never even considered. It's for this reason that I find it hilarious that he claims I said things to undermine him by leading off with "you and your wife" because even if he was married I would have had no idea lol. The dude is something else, and Xeno definitely hit the mark with some of his speculations. The specificity of his claim just made me shake my head. I get the psychology that adding something really specific can make a lie seem more credible, but ideally you'd want to double down on something that's more likely.
Yooo frfr he really is a nice guy just serious about savage raids. I remember him helping so many people level in Eureka. Even remember how he still helped people when he was paralyzed from the chest down. Dude really is a good guy.
BRO I've played with system senpai before doing statics. The lad is wild. He ran an extreme trials discord for a long time. People on primal have probably seen the Waffle House requirements with weird loot master rules. This dude is real, and not a troll. He definitely thinks he's king shit. You'd like him, he puts tenacity on tanks. :D Edit: Holy shit I just remembered the most cringe part of this whole thing. He gave roles for content you were eligible for where you had to SCREENSHOT BEATING THE DUMMY even if you'd cleared on FFLogs, because logs weren't allowed LOL
As a max Tenacity enjoyer this guy sounds like a great person since after every battle i get drool coming from my mouth when i notice that i took 800 less damage from a raid wide hit than the other tank! (TENACITY IS LOVE and combined with SAGE shields you can even stand in AOE´s and take zero damage since TENACITY STACKS WITH EVERYTHING, OOH ITS SO GREAT!)
This feels malicious, not just crazy. Like expecting people to raid outside the normal schedule for an indeterminate amount of time? for someone that doesn't want raiding to be like a job, he sure sounds like an asshole boss trying to guilt people into working unpaid overtime
I was in a hydaelyn learning group with him once at the start of EW and can confirm he does think highly of himself. He was a condescending ass to one of the tanks (who was new to end game content btw). Actually said "can we get a tank who knows what he's doing?"
I know this guy. He helped my FC get a house, but honestly I cant stand him. I mute up in VC when he joins. My server owner knows and im going to be real here - Hes only a decent guy when the server owner or one of the admins is in call. He's a narcissistic rude guy 90% of the time and only is half decent when talking about where to find certain limited items. I've done trials with him and he wanted us all to join Waffle House (discord). I didnt. Apparently he got upset that one person in the trial didnt want to join another discord and promptly told everyone to stop telling me how the mechanics go. It was my first time through.
@@arachnid__ ''Hes only a decent guy when the server owner or one of the admins is in call. He's a narcissistic rude guy 90%'' Sound like a guy i used to play with in Cactuar. Guy used to be pretty chill around our group but as soon as the most active in our linkshell took a break due to rl stuff, 2 days in we were told there was a huge drama wave regarding him helping fc mates to run hydaelyn and zodiark extremes. Apparently he clashed against the fc sub-master who is also an unhinged narcissist who is still in the FC because he's friends with the leader, so it was a battle of narcissists and the FC suffered tons because the leader couldn't handle the situation and most of the active members were tired of the co-leader so they piled on him, then people left because drama and others left because the co-leader wasn't kicked out. Good times.
@@rRekko hes rarely active in our discord these days. Only coming on when the other 'old guys' of the group are in vc. We've honestly relaxed from it all. Still this whole 12 player static is wild.
god bless my casual static where we show up late, and leave immediately when our time is up and we still manage clears w/ bad parses. This just seems like hell and I hope I'm never in a raid group led by a senpai-person like this 💀
Yeah... makes me appreciate the bunch of monkeys I play with way more. Chill group, lots of fun, "u monke stop delaying your brotherhood >:U". We chill and play other content together but if you wanna leave after a clear, just go and enjoy your life. Just be here "on time" (kekw) next raid
My static is a mix of Blue/purple parsers and grey parsers. But we are all friends, and just do it for fun mainly. I’d hate to be in something like this senpai person too😂
"We're not a hardcore group! This won't be like a job!" *Please be available to raid in the middle of the week for during hours when most of that timezone is working*
@@thelazyhuntress You have said this exact same comment towards other people multiple times on here. Is this that idiots alt account because there is no way someone can't see how insane and stupid these requirements are without being an actual moron.
People need to understand that raiding isn't a second job, it's a hobby. People also need to understand though that raiding is a hobby with a commitment. It's not a job, but it is a commitment where 7 other people are counting on you to be there, and 7 other adults are expecting you to respect their time and they respect yours. We have long since left the times of big guilds with various players rotating out for a goal. If those ever return, it won't be in this MMO.
I posted this in a reply, but I wonder if the "rare chance that two chests will spawn even on a single chest run" is simply a misunderstanding from when you used to be able to enter a lockout prior to weekly reset, clear post-reset, and end up getting two chests because it was technically considered a new week. (They changed that in 4.45: "4.x The following adjustments have been made to address an issue with weekly raid rewards: If a raid is started before the weekly reset time─Tuesday at 8:00 (GMT)─but completed after, rewards will no longer count toward the limit for the new week. The number of coffers that appear will still be based on the reward status of party members prior to entering the duty. The number of coffers that will appear will now be displayed upon entering the duty.")
@@YellOhPanda I'd also think that maybe the guy is misunderstanding "chests" and "coffers in the chest". Like yeah, you can get a single chest with 2 coffers, or a coffer and an upgrade item, on the first two floors.
This whole static set up is the formula to have the "greatest" static drama ever. Reminds me of the Stanford Prison Experiment oddly enough, and that Dreadwyrm Academy cult. Edit: I'd love to watch Xeems play FFXI one day, I believe it'd be interesting hahaha Edit2: After rewatching my opinion above still holds, but there's one thing that eats at me. System & 3 other of their members should have Alts for Clearing the remaining 4 member's Weekly loot. That way EVERYONE gets their 2chest..there's no reason every member in a static shouldn't get their weekly 2chest. This is Actively Creating Tension between Members whether you want to believe it or not. Literal kindergarten rules & setup. Wasn't this all abo-..../.. oh wait this isn't about that, it's about Feeding System's Ego & Gear for the remaining tier/expansion
THERE AINT NO WAY LOL. I remember this dude on Primal when i was just starting to do savage for the first time, I was a dumb GNB trying p1s in party finder and saw a p1 prog group in PF for his 7/8 static. it was the most DEMEANING experience i've ever had. it's hilarious to see he's barely scraped through last tier and hasn't even stepped foot into abyssos yet and he's calling himself a "longtime player since 1.0". In the span of a year since I've been in that PF i've done both tiers, got my first gold parse on p8s, and hit triple almost quad legend. I love that he's still been in the same shitter hole for this long :D

This has very big "raided in FFXI or EQ" energy to me. It ultimately works, but from my experience, people feel like they effectively have different "rankings" within the group, so it can feel kind of shitty if you aren't in the upper echelon. I don't understand the refusal to look at FFLogs though. I feel like it's a pretty invaluable resource, and I like seeing my number change colors as I get better at the fights :D Edit: Fuckin' called it.
I was about to say that this guy is running a static in Everquest back in 1998. I really hope nobody decides to actually join this static at all and from what I've read so far in the comments, this guy has a *massive* ego. Guy like that would be insufferable to raid with.
XI never actually had raids though lol. Unless you count stuff like 3 Kings as raids but really that was just camping spawn windows for hours and goddamn hours on end. When someone says Raid I think of Destiny etc. you know, where you're actively going through a dungeon or series of grueling fights. I love XI, it's my favorite game of all time but this dude either doesn't remember Abyssea properly or is just trying too hard to flex
@@Malacite Definitely not in the way that raids are perceived nowadays, for sure. I was thinking Sky/Sea/Limbus/Dynamis personally. Instanced (in the case of the latter two, not the former) or endgame content where people would (at least in the case of my Linkshell) "bid" a certain number of points that they acquired through attendance in order to guarantee they would receive certain drops. Never was able to get my damn Byakko's Haidate though.
If he wanted to do it this way he should have just said "hey we want 12 people so the static is less demanding, we're gonna try and do double clears so everyone can get loot so don't join if you're not ok with that". All this petty schoolteacher bullshit is so annoying.
Invite time is an hour before start time? Oof. I'm not standing around, looking all hot for an hour; I got shit to do. Also if your group's rule sheet exceeds 1 page and/or 3 paragraphs, that is a pretty big red flag if you ask me.
@@rhael42 True! But I'm a generous person, or at least strive to be, so I'd give 3 paragraphs on 1 page a pass. Some people need more words to get their objective across, which is fine if it's not batshit insane.
This is so much effort for so little value... The Google Doc claims it's 12 hrs of raiding a week (3 days x 4 hrs), but just 2 paragraphs later you'll see that it's actually 16.5 hrs MINIMUM (3 days x 5.5+ hrs). That's basically the commitment level of the low end of hardcore statics, and you'd be pulling for only half of those hours ON A GOOD DAY. If there are absences, you still gotta fill from PF, because otherwise you'll be denying the 2nd run players their 1-chest. Which means you'd be wasting even more time squatting in PF waiting for fills. If I'm dedicating 16.5 hours a week towards a Savage tier prog, I might as well join a hardcore group that pulls for 16.5 hrs, and one that can start doing split farms on Week 1 to boot. That's 4 chests per 8 players, instead of 3 chests per 12 players. And what is this horseshit expectation for players to stick around and socialize, after 5.5hrs of scheduled time? If it's log/vod review debrief or housekeeping agenda items, I understand (not like they'll be logging OMEGALUL). But who the fuck wants to chat, socialize, and "air out grievances"? If it's a 16.5 hr hardcore group, I expect everyone to be professional and work towards the common goal of a clear and nothing else. I don't want to hear about your vacation or your cats. Build comeradery through overcoming extreme challenge and pushing each other past their skill limits. None of this work-mandated social event BS.
because he's a Narcissistic, but he lack the skill, effort and actual charisma like hector, mizteq or joonbob why do you think he insisted on "teaching" new player? because he got shit by actual good player for being dogshit, that's why he need new player who doesn't know better to affirm his superiority complex lmao absolutely sad individual
ive played FFXI, the Caturae this guy puts in his doc are over blown BS, they are hard to fight ungeared and not knowing what each can do but the are not as amazing, also Abyssea is not a raid near the difficulty of a savage raid in 14, love your content Xeno
The concept of "raids" doesn't even really exist in FFXI, and abyssea is about the furthest thing from it in FFXI, even.... Also, Abyssea is EXTREMELY casual content. It's very similar to both Bozja and Eureka in that your character becomes ludicrously powerful due to a few zone specific buffs. The catturae are NMs that you fight within abyssea, but half of them are just out in the world without any special pop conditions. You can solo all but Rani, really, with little difficulty, and the only reason Rani is harder is due to charm causing her to regen full while you're stuck safely following her around. Neat enemies, sure, but this description MASSIVELY oversells their difficulty and the achievement of killing them...
so have a bunch of downtime for no reason where you still have to be available, and do split clears but only receive a normal clear's worth of loot at best, sounds amazing
I ran into this guy when doing a pvp event on the new data center. He had macros to help people know when it was time to push for the middle. I forgot the pvp mode. I ran into him again and actually spoke with him in a different discord. He came off as a know it all prict that would not listen to another's option. We were talking about healers, and I was trying to explain why I personally don't like to play Shield Healer, especially scholar. And he was not having it. Overall, I'm not a guy I would want to play end-game content with.
There is soooooooooo much incorrect information about the Caturae. It wasn't multiple-hour raid content, it was open run-around map stuff that people would organize to kill. The Caturae were big bosses that dropped good loot and titles, but they were just spawns on the maps. They weren't even the invisible bosses for the map, that was something different (though I think one of them might have had an invisible mechanic).
You DID need to beat them initially to get to Shinryu but after that yeah it was just another key item on a timer for retries. I once saw Rani charm someone who had just used a brew and laughed my ass off as they wiped their entire alliance it was insane.
You have experienced them well after the level cap raise and when most everyone has a Brew to spare. Much of my experience with them came before any of that; in fact, back then Abyssea was incredible unpopular with the overall community. A lot of people were quitting and refusing to play. It was a golden opportunity to find people who had just suffered the loss of their Linkshells dissolving and in need of kindred spirits. Back then Skype was a thing. Remember Skype? Makes me feel old. We got together and used that as our communication platform. From there we all started from scratch, no prior experience with anything really. There were no guides, no wikis, no videos -- nothing. We dove in and began to figure it all out on our own. It was genuinely one of the best experiences I ever had in FF11 -- which is relatively sad actually, as that expansion came so late in its life cycle.
So the guy wants to run an RP static in the form of some "knights of the round" type system. I think that's fine, but just the way it's written sounds toxic as fuck and I imagine it'll be a gathering of a bunch of loonies. I'd recommend a hard pass to anyone.
I am against hardcore he says, proceeds to make an 11 page document outlining requirements, you do what mate, if your a casual just join a casual static where there is no worry if you dont clear week one.
Lmao dude writes multiple essays but can’t spell “peace of mind” correctly Also “I don’t want people who treat this like a job” yet he puts out basically an employment contract with part-time job hours. Touch grass, dude.
looool I actually raided with System a bout a year ago when he was doing mount farms to advertise his new raid discord. He was a great raid leader, ngl, but when I actually got into the discord andd posted up in chat "Anyone down to run anything" he was like yea we don't do that, you have to blah blah blah blah basically had to sign up for permissions and put something up on a schedule and see if anyone would sign up. Basically straight up said not allowed to casually recruit for last minute stuff, must be on the calendar, must be something specific, etc etc etc. I'm good, homie.
I work in retail and a no-call-no-show gives you 2 strikes, and if you do it twice you get fired lmao he must work for the same store as me XD And for a guy who doesn't want party members to treat this like a job, he sure is making it a job. As an introvert, if I'm stuck in call with people for 5 hours doing some stressful prog, I'm leaving immediately after to recharge, fuck that. May as well pay me minimum wage if you want me to stay longer. Even with my good friends when I first tried raiding, I never stayed in vc after! So far the only thing I can agree with this guy, is having an hour for "show up time". Just for normal stuff, I know people who say "I'm getting on right now!" and then not hear from them for another 3 hours. Or whenever we did fun events, we'd say we're starting at 6, but people don't show up until 7-7:30
They will 100% have to use PF because no one will put up with all of those procedures for more than a couple weeks for a leader who doesn't expect to be clearing the raid for 6 months.
Logs have their flaws but a raider refusing to look at logs is the biggest red flag you can signal to other raiders. This also means that anyone looking to apply to the static wont be able to see the logs of any existing members. This indicates you don't care about the performance of yourself or others and immediately disquallifies you from calling your group a midcore group, imo, let alone a hardcore group. No one aside from very casual raiders will look at that and say "yea sure, i'll roll the dice with these guys "
Fucking lost it at "Piece of Mind" as one of the benefits; this person is going into all this effort to create a mega-toxic static but can't spell peace correctly? lmao
Damn I was watching some music reaction content and saw this video in the recommended tab released 2minutes ago. Instant click for best reaction content
I recently ran into this dude in a PF EX1, & he was entirely unpleasant. He overcomplicated partners (wanted us to stand in double the amount of markers that did the same thing as the typical 4, & confused people in the party totally new to the EX). After which he proceeded to spam, with one of the sound pings, that his markers were "pixel perfect" & that we should save them. Anytime we tried to discuss or indicate if people were ready, he'd ping it again. I had cleared many times but had decided to join this PF bc 2-3 of the people were newer & wanted to learn, this was listed as a learning party. This is important because obviously we kept wiping due to mistakes & taking pauses to explain mechanics/answer questions (he never answered a single one, just bitched we weren't using his pixel perfect markers as if someone moving too slow during tank swap & getting obliterated by fire had anything to do with markers in example). We were making good progress, we were nearly to a clear, but it was clear he was upset because he kept noting we should listen to him. Again....he offered no advice. The learners were doing FINE, they were just learning. He ended up essentially saying we all sucked, that he knew best and left the Duty well before we timed out. Pettily I will note he played tank & caused like three of our wipes because he didn't mit damage during fire phase :P expecting us healers to "do our job". I can't heal through stupid.
lil bro unironically talks about stuff being less joblike and then lists an entire reddit post with 11 pages extra, full with requirements and rules aintnoway
Getting marked noshow for not telling for not coming late 24hours before raid? So i need to predict im gonna get into a traffic or suddenly have to stay late for work which is critical to not get fired? like what
One day I would like to join a group like this to see the ship burning. It would be even worth to loosing out for one raid tier to see that show. And while I see the shit goes down, I will most likely be logged in on a 2nd char and clear the whole tier faster in PF. After the unavoidable disband of that group, I will simply ping a few friends to get some quick clears on my main.
And to this day, May 18th just under 2 weeks before 6.4 savage, they are still looking for members to step into the bear trap that has sirens and signage all around it telling you to avoid the bear trap. Not on Reddit, since that was deleted, but on XIVRecruit. And it's still unhinged.
lmao he now desperate trying to find melee and dump his 12 man idea into the shitter considering he's not even able to cleared abysoss, his party either disband before it even formed or disband after 2 days lmao
No one wants to run 8 hour days, during the work week, for as long as it takes them to get the clear which can and probably will take months. This is also not taking into account that he damn well could've started an NA DC civil war between the Aether/Primal vs Dynamis hunt discords, on patch day, by ignoring every step those DCs have for "foreigners" to run trains on their DCs. It's just the gift that keeps on giving.
@@KaguyaEne I've actually been part of the Waffle House for about a year, and in retrospect, I can say that it was the most demeaning experience I've had playing ffxiv. I was dumb and made a mistake in Baldicante prog, and he and some other people were really fucking passive aggressive about it. As a casual i can confirm that i went through all 12 stages of utter despair and many headaches just listening to this. I hope actual statics are infinitely less complicated or by Halone i will die a casual.
As a hardcore casual myself, their discord is actually incredibly noob friendly. They go out of their way to help beginners get into and clear content no matter how long it takes for them to get the hang of said content. I personally feel like some of these things were blown out of proportion but I also completely understand if it doesn't sound appealing.
Yeah most groups are chill. It's only the week 1 tryhards and the "ultimate only" groups that are a bit of a mess. Get some friendly people willing to improve, pick an hour, have fun gaming and forget about your job. FORGET ABOUT YOUR JOB JESUS CHRIST *WHAT IS THAT RECRUITING*
When you mention a static being like a job, I'm pretty sure that's just any team in any game that is at least semi-serious. I would just call that a commitment.

I get having multiple "reserve" members, but you're literally doing runs for 1.5 the loot, so 4 people constantly are getting cucked. also, the 1 thing that would kill the static quite easily is that you NEED to play with your static members OUTSIDE of the raid days. i don't play with my static members all the time, sometimes we don't speak to each other till the next raid day, which is fine, we have an no bullshit attitute, we'll call people out on mistakes and help them fix that mistake. this is a part time job basically, since it'll be 12 hours of raid, but then required to also participate in the half an hour orso post raid discussion, on top of being required to do random content with your static members, then also being required to go into PF and practise the fight.
@@holmesholmes.8784 i mean, tbh not really much of an exaggeration. It's completely in the realm of possibilities here in the rules outlines that even if your dad dies, you can get kicked from your static because you didn't send a message in a timely matter

Bruh even before the post I'm shocked people are recruiting this early. I'm a more casual guy for sure, but recruiting 2 months ahead of the tier seems ambitious at best. I've recruited even a few weeks before and people flake like crazy. I wouldn't be doing it this early... that's setting yourself up for at least one or two people to be like "lol jk not interested fam" let alone legit stuff like job changes/layoffs and the like.
It's a good idea for hardcore statics to recruit early because the dedicated players tend to look for groups around this time. It also lets you trial a lot more people out fully instead of settling on someone because there is not enough time left. The group in the post is recruiting more than 8 people so they'll probably spend more time trialing than other statics.
Idk. I get stressed out if I'm not in a group a few weeks before the tier drops. If you're between groups there's 0 guarantee that a group you join 2 weeks before the tier that you're going to be satisfied with the group.
@@vl1510 That makes sense, I guess that when you go for explicitly HC with that kinda expectation things completely become more serious and results in less people who flake. Serious kinda content expects serious players, and hopefully self selection. (I'm self selecting out cause with my job I just can't do it.) Group recruitment, people MIA and managing stuff has burned me out so hard last tier... part of me wonders if it would have been less effort unironically to go more midcore+ than casualish. The flakes burn 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I've seen groups looking for members for the upcoming savage several months in advance. A lot of groups I've seen after finishing up on Omega are recruiting for final spots going into savage.
I feel like this might be a meme or a scare, so you can basically be like 'Thank god i'm not a part of this' or 'Thank god i can just PF or find a casual/mid core static rather than this'. It is beyond belief how crazy this is

Oof, I was okay with and actually appreciate someone trying to come up with a new concept and approach (not for me, but hey, you do you)... until the schedule demands. This is too demanding and seems like a good way to have raid drama. Hopefully they can step back and ease up to find a group they can play with, or maybe they'll find 12 people for this experiment, in which case best of luck to them.
Anytime I see someone say "in our static, raiding isn't like a job" I know 100% it's like a job. On the flip side, I tried to help some ppl get into raiding in 6.0, and to them having melds, food, and pots is "hardcore"...I guess it takes all kinds 😅
With his 12 player parameter I am surprised he didn't put a criteria that each member must have a different symbol relating to the Twelve.

😢
Don't generalize, we aren't all weirdos like that dude!
He made his own FC and frequently tries to claim he cofounded mine.
@drexin7303 loool I'd love to hear about it in game I'm Gamer'dad Naru
Back in 5.5 I joined his pf (and Waffle House discord) to prog Diamond EX and learn SoS EX. He had this smooth pilot-on-the intercom-voice for callouts, but he acted rather aggressive if you messed up. Seemed impatient and I got weird vibes from him. He also hated gunbreakers specifically and the insistence on tenacity melding was real. Seeing this vid on him now is funny but not shocking.
"adamantly against joining FCs he called them Gimmicks for the sheep"
Is his real name Zenos?
"4.x The following adjustments have been made to address an issue with weekly raid rewards:
If a raid is started before the weekly reset time─Tuesday at 8:00 (GMT)─but completed after, rewards will no longer count toward the limit for the new week.
The number of coffers that appear will still be based on the reward status of party members prior to entering the duty.
The number of coffers that will appear will now be displayed upon entering the duty."
So prior to these changes a group could go in around weekly reset expecting to get 1 chest but end up with 2 because when they cleared it was technically considered a new week. They then spread a rumor about a random chance to get 2 chests because they didn’t understand how the system worked. Et voila.
Oooooh so with 8 players an 8 alts you do :
4 main 4 alt, funnel 2 chests to the 4 main (1chest per 2 player)
Next clear you swap
4 alt 4 main, funnel the two chests to the players that didn't get one previously (1 chest per 2 players)
Meaning 4 chests for the team for the week
And also with this system it would still be a 6 chest per week WITH ROTATIONS so at this rate, you better create 4 alts to have 8 chest and it would be a lot more viable, the fact he wants to stay like this is just another waste of time but this time 1/4 of the week wasted
@@Raven3557 That's usually how it works when you do alt splits, yes :P
I remember this guy from Stormblood. He was on primal and went by Zenny Zimba back then.
He spent a lot of time in Eureka and made a lot of macros to tell people which fate to pop next. A lot of people actually appreciated that because it saved them the effort of having to track the respawn timers. I also remember being in some BA runs with him. I don't want to speak on THAT part too much because my memory is a little hazy on what exactly went down, but at the very least I remember him not being too fond of the actual savage/ultimate raiders who led the BA runs. I posted this in a reply, but I wonder if the "rare chance that two chests will spawn even on a single chest run" is simply a misunderstanding from when you used to be able to enter a lockout prior to weekly reset, clear post-reset, and end up getting two chests because it was technically considered a new week.

Invite time is an hour before start time? Oof. I'm not standing around, looking all hot for an hour; I got shit to do. Also if your group's rule sheet exceeds 1 page and/or 3 paragraphs, that is a pretty big red flag if you ask me.
Honestly if your group's recruitment post exceeds maybe a single paragraph at most, it's a red flag.
None of this work-mandated social event BS.
never heard of this person, not sure why they boast making strats when they have nothing to cite.
Dude's strats are all located in one single random discord, see no usage outside of it, and thinks he's hot shit. Pretty cringe.
because he's a Narcissistic, but he lack the skill, effort and actual charisma like hector, mizteq or joonbob
why do you think he insisted on "teaching" new player? because he got shit by actual good player for being dogshit, that's why he need new player who doesn't know better to affirm his superiority complex lmao
absolutely sad individual
"We don't want elitist people" then proceeds to insult every FFXIV streamer on Twitch in the exact same sentence.
When you want to raid but you’re a peak casual and you have at least mild delusions of power
At least this guy is up front about being crazy, and it wont be a sweet surprise later, you get what you sign up for
ive played FFXI, the Caturae this guy puts in his doc are over blown BS, they are hard to fight ungeared and not knowing what each can do but the are not as amazing, also Abyssea is not a raid near the difficulty of a savage raid in 14, love your content Xeno
Did anyone ask the important question? Do we earn sick days?
Okay so kinda like the shitshow that was the Dreadlands in EQ.
So the guy wants to run an RP static in the form of some "knights of the round" type system. I think that's fine, but just the way it's written sounds toxic as fuck and I imagine it'll be a gathering of a bunch of loonies. I'd recommend a hard pass to anyone.
In general it does seem cool.
This reeks of "middle manager who wants more power at his job but also doesn't know how to actually lead" vibes.
I am against hardcore he says, proceeds to make an 11 page document outlining requirements, you do what mate, if your a casual just join a casual static where there is no worry if you dont clear week one.
Lmao dude writes multiple essays but can’t spell “peace of mind” correctly
Also “I don’t want people who treat this like a job” yet he puts out basically an employment contract with part-time job hours.
I feel like at least this guy makes the expectations very clear from the begining and not just assume some set of unspoken rules
I really hope people participate so I can get some drama content to watch.
heres the thing, it'd have to be people A) Going for that, and B) Pass the Screening this totally sane person has put together
I work in retail and a no-call-no-show gives you 2 strikes, and if you do it twice you get fired lmao he must work for the same store as me XD
And for a guy who doesn't want party members to treat this like a job, he sure is making it a job.
"No call, no show" not a job, my butt lmao
"Floating Day," "Extra Day," "Possible Third/Fourth Day," etc. are all translated as "Days we definitely won't be raiding."
This just makes me appreciate that my static is just 8 chill friends with degen humor lol
Fucking lost it at "Piece of Mind" as one of the benefits; this person is going into all this effort to create a mega-toxic static but can't spell peace correctly? lmao
Lol! I just looked him up on FFlogs. Looks like he never filled the static, and is just doing PFs. Shocker
Damn I was watching some music reaction content and saw this video in the recommended tab released 2minutes ago. Instant click for best reaction content
4:01 Flashbang out.....
Bro I am so glad I just landed a chill midcore static first try
That guy been smoking too much Gysahl Greens
lil bro unironically talks about stuff being less joblike and then lists an entire reddit post with 11 pages extra, full with requirements and rules aintnoway
Doesn't even know what a job is like probably.
Getting marked noshow for not telling for not coming late 24hours before raid? So i need to predict im gonna get into a traffic or suddenly have to stay late for work which is critical to not get fired? like what
I have never gotten the rare second chest spawn at the end. Must be very rare :)
I've done a million clear parties that are usually 1 chest and have never in my life seen 2 chests in a 1 chest party.
Must be rare Buhh
Someone actually took their time to write all that. What a maniac
And to this day, May 18th just under 2 weeks before 6.4 savage, they are still looking for members to step into the bear trap that has sirens and signage all around it telling you to avoid the bear trap. Not on Reddit, since that was deleted, but on XIVRecruit. And it's still unhinged.
lmao he now desperate trying to find melee and dump his 12 man idea into the shitter
considering he's not even able to cleared abysoss, his party either disband before it even formed or disband after 2 days lmao
He constantly talks about how the discord is all about teaching players how to raid, but every time he puts up events, he expects everybody to be able to get the mechanic right in like two tries. I was dumb and made a mistake in Baldicante prog, and he and some other people were really fucking passive aggressive about it. I left around the time this video came out, but this experience kinda drove me away from raiding for a couple months. That dude was so superior and condescending that it was sickening.
Bro I know I have played with this person before. I am pretty sure they were absolute garbage. I am by far not the best player, in fact VERY far from it. Either way I know I blacklisted them at some point.
This is why I don't raid what so ever in FF Nor attempt too unless I'm asked by someone I know multiple times.
Party finder is toxic af. Statics are 50 50 or I have to sign up for a job.
People cannot just go in and have fun anymore. Like I don't even read the party finder message anymore cause it's like I'm lookin at hieroglyphics. 😂
Everyone: ~sweats when they do a no call, no show at work
My co-worker who seems to only comes to her shift whenever she felt like it: ~chills and sits down like she hadn't just not showed up the day before like she's done nearly every week
She's bangin the manager
As a casual i can confirm that i went through all 12 stages of utter despair and many headaches just listening to this. I hope actual statics are infinitely less complicated or by Halone i will die a casual.
Yeah. Most people just want to play a video game and not get trolled to hell and back by someone who doesn't give a shit.
I would just call that a commitment.
emblazon
ĕm-blā′zən
transitive verb
To adorn (a surface) with a prominent marking, such as a logo or heraldic symbol.
To inscribe (a prominent marking, such as a logo or heraldic symbol) on a surface.
To make resplendent with brilliant colors.
This is the definition of overthinking
And I thought I was overthinking P8S mechanics...
I died at the “piece” of mind part 😂😂😂😂
The word emblazoned was correctly used. You need to read some books if you don't know that is a word. Emblazon - Emblazoned.
Most normal FFXIV static.
I just thought of something.. "My dad just died! Oh no I didn't message ahead for my FFXIV static!!"
Wonder if someone's gonna abuse this till their whole family allegedly dies
dont exaggerate it lol
@@holmesholmes.8784 i mean, tbh not really much of an exaggeration. It's completely in the realm of possibilities here in the rules outlines that even if your dad dies, you can get kicked from your static because you didn't send a message in a timely matter
@@ExploringTheNebula just because something is in the realm of possibilities, doesn’t make it not an exaggeration. Let’s not advocate to the devil and go this far just to enjoy bullying on somebody, otherwise we’ll start sounding like people who reports and piss on other for using mods.
@@holmesholmes.8784 I mean, it's a complete possibility. People die everyday. It's not an exaggeration. Replace your dad dying with any important life-altering event and it still applies.
I just wanna have an FC/static, which is just a more glorified and consistent party finder.
"this is sick im into this" 😂😂😂 im ded
LMAO, i was in Storms Crown Extreme "learning" party a while back that was led by him and OMG this guy was a clown. Its so surreal seeing a video being made about him that lines up with my own experience from that day. Hes the kind of player that shits on other raid leaders for their ego whilst totally having a lack of self awareness when it came to his own ego... lol buyer beware!
he's Narcissist who doesn't have the skill to back up his shit so he's using "learning" and "teaching" for his ego boost because he want this new player/raider to boost his ego since they don't know any better
it's nepthys yamada 2.0 all over again
"We don't want any drama... BUT YOU BETTER BE HERE ON TIME OR ELSE!"
What a clown.
Facts
It is beyond belief how crazy this is
yeah that sounds like that HR rules that sound great on paper but most likely won't ever be upheld and in terms of talking about issues those will always be talked about behind back and probably ninja kicked lol. So many contrary points that have absolutely no to negative value, makes me think this person works in HR lol
Man, this puts my recruitment to shame. All i did was post in in PF " Looking for X player for savage raiding, message me" and that was it.
I just do PF prog recruitment instead lmao
Man this guy had a power trip and a half writing this rofl
We need some Limsa AFK lore and backstories
