Now I can Rickroll people with a Queen member involved! This is a dream come true!
Same here. A dream come true indeed.
and Phil Collins
Same
My 15 year old loves Rick Astley and a huge fan of Queen. I also saw Phil Collins on the drums. The best.
It's not a meme but a banger.
Besides being a meme, he is super talented singer!
Ikr!
He has great music as well
He is but it’s hard to listen to his music without thinking about memes

When Freddie was sick,Brian was getting Rick rolled

This means nobody is safe from getting rickrolled. Even Brian May,Midge Ure,Phil Collins fell for it.
@Charles Addison Ociones no u
@Charles Addison Ociones bruh
And Mick Karn
And Eric Clapton.
In my dreams I was getting rickrolled by Gene Simmons from KISS, Till Lindemann from Rammstein, Bryan May from Queen, ofc Rick Astley himself AND EVEN SCHNUFFEL BUNNY GOD DAMN IT 💀
3:18 amazing voice!!!
0:00 - 4:10 Amazing voice*
Stitch Commenting so true
I love that part too!!!
Hes so overlooked because of the memes but he may legit be one of my favorite vocalists ever
Chills😅
Bruh Rick Astley and Brian May together on stage. Now I’ve seen it all 👌👌👌
2:19 Rick in full energy ⚡
looking for a live version to make sure he wasn't using low pitch filter, he truly has the voice. Respect.
100% . Good vocal.
This sounds like his real voice here. When I hear the original, I only hear Michael McDonald lol. Listen to the nuances. I think the record company rickDonalded us.
When the pipe line is warm Rick,s voice is powerful
@@dannobles8028ua-cam.com/video/-AszAPIIrJ4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared this video proves it isn't Michael McDonald on the original, this is a live performance from 1988 where he sounds very close to the original recording but just different enough to where you can tell he is actually singing it live
You Know that shit got real when Brian May is on guitar and Phil Collins on drums 😍
Letters For U ...Dude *Brian May
@@Motown1966 checked ;)
2:18 That singing, damn!
Love this guy. Danced my ass off to his songs in the late 80s.
Mid 90s baby but the 80s looked so fun!
@@7vn214 This is in '88 and the song is on '87 not even hitting the 90s
I love this versión wow
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
That any shy person could walk on a stage let alone sing like that while flanked by giants from Genesis and Queen…wow, just wow. Rick is the man 🤍
I must admit, he's got a great voice.
Man I absolutely love this performance. Rick’s vocals are AMAZING and we got Phil Collins on the drums and Brian May on the guitar.
Rick Astley has got to be one of the best male singers in Pop music history. He made classy and accessible Pop music. A talented bloke on stage with the greats: Midge Ure, Phil Collins, and Brian May.
The GREATEST line-up to RICKROLL everyone
Or just the best singer of all time.
Well... this could be the ultimate RickRoll - find a friend who is a fan of Genesis and Queen and send them this video saying it's a jam with Phil Collins and Brian May.
Well, I'm that friend for sure
Simply unbelievable!! Phil Collins playing drums for Rick Astley! Wonderful!!!
and Brian may on guitar!!!!
OMG ... His cute face makes me never give me up ...
Queen, Rick Astley and more. *Why am I only learning about this NOW??*
Hey I just found this today so don't feel bad 😂
WOW he is a lovely singer and so handsome
I never thought I’d see a Queen member with Rick, I stg Queen knew everyone
SIIING! I love when it's FULLY live! No tracks, just pure, raw, live talent. From the vocals to the instruments!
Rick Astley certainly had the chops, what a voice and stellar performance alongside some of the best musicians of that time.
Brian May of Queen and Rick Astley on stage together? WOAH!!!
and phil collins!
3:20 why is there another brian may in the audience
What is going on here
😆😆😆😆😆
@@mærkelig you stand jokes? Lol

He's watching how it is done, just like with the Bohemian Rhapsody movie's Live Aid…
A real nice guy💋💋
Well now I got a new URL to remember..
I'm just seeing this video in 2023, been a fan of Rick for oh so long. So much talent on the stage, he sings it just like it's an everyday concert. Respect.
Soooo handsome and a great voice ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
His voice is so beautiful
Just spectacular!
Raw british talents.
Only in the '80's.
Rickroll in 1988 be like:
Kazuhiro he made it so yes
Lmao
Wow this is definitely a moment in time for the capsule.
This live performance bloody well shows Rick's incredible voice!
He could win American Idol...
I have never felt more excited that a member of Queen assisted in Rickrolling a crowd without knowing it.
A little faster then the studio version, but definitely like it better with a live band and proved he can sing with any type of musical style
Everyone is this band enjoying each other's songs absolutely brilliant. Phil Collins midge Ure Rick astley Howard Jones wonderful talent we don't have anything like that now
Love Rick Astley!! He has a beautiful voice!! Wow!! 💖💖💖
Is that Queen's Brian May on guitar? (Edit: The answer is yes and Phil Collins on drums. No need to reply.)
There are two drummers, the one in the white t-shirt is Phil Collins, so he is playing on this song.
Phil Collins and Mark Brzezicki (Big Country) are the two drummers.
Mick Kahn (Japan) plays Fretless Bass
Midge Ure is playing Rhythm guitar
Brian May guitar lead
Howard Jones playing keys
@@CreedBrattonTheOffice wrong ! Phil played on this song because we can see him
put your glasses on :)
@@drewdalzell6924 of course but there are problem in 2 - 3 songs we can, only listen to Steve Ferrone
@@TheMessele Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran on keys
Mick Karn on bass, that guy was a groove monster.
OMG. When music legends are playing your song. Brilliant.
Back when pop and rock stars could play together on one stage.
No auto tune, PURE *TALENT*.
Auto tune wasn’t introduced until 1997
So much talent under one roof at the 1988 Princes Trust Concert!
This is by far my favorite live rendition of the song. Its filled with so much soul plus we have Brain May AND phil collins apart of the rick roll
His voice is just pure magic. Fantastic!
Wow, what a voice. Best version I’ve heard.
I have never seen this performance.. What a lot of stars! It's incredible 🌟
Dude he owned the shit outta this live.
I finally figured his voice out. He sounds just like this today. I’m thinking the producers on that album made him add more weight to his voice to give him a distinctive sound. It wasn’t natural for him, which is why he would lip-sync so much back then. This video shows his natural voice, which he uses today.
We're no strangers to love
@@ruelbalois2691 You know the rules, and so do I
he has other live on AMA singing she wants to dance with me. he sounds exactly on the record singing. no extra effects. the Key here is low.

Best live recorded performance 👏
Oh my goodness, I'm shocked, I did not expect Brian to pop up when I was about to rickroll myself 😂😂😂 I'm a huge Queen lover and this is one of the few songs from a different artist I kinda like, but Brian is always everywhere 🤪😁
Finally - real brass, drums, guitars and bass the song deserves... Too bad no live strings.... Plus with Rick’s live vocals which sounds very country like Elvis... Rick has left the building...
I know this is gonna piss some people off, but I like this version of Never Gonna Give You Up better than the original version.

Nah, the original was never this good.
I felt this was much faster than the original recording so kudos that he kept up in time to the music, must of been exhausting!!
No shit!
Facts but
From a small you guy you'd expect a high-pitched voice like Jimmy Sommerville or James Blunt, no, you get a crooner, you get Elvis!
I never tought i saw Rick and Brian May on the same stage. Very cool
Thanks so much for sharing this!!
I did very detailed research on this & came up with the following for every musician onstage here (yes, I had too much time on my hands!!):
Rick Astley - vox
Midge Ure All Star Band (Prince's Trust All Star Band)-
Howard Jones - keys
Brian May - lead guitar
Midge Ure - rhythm guitar, md
Mick Karn - bass
Phil Collins - drums
Mark "the Octopus" Brzezicki - drums
Gillian O'Donovan - b.vox
Suzie O'List - b.vox
Gary Barnacle - tenor saxophone
Barry Gardner - flugelhorn
John Thirkell - trumpet
Luke Tunney - trumpet
Pete Thoms - trombone
Que voz linda
El estribillo se podría repetir 675 veces y nunca cansaría! Esta canción debería llamarse himno a la alegría! 😎
I love him! Still! ❤
Love your voice❤
you can tell he was nervous. Maybe he wasn’t used to not lip-syncing. This sounds amazing
Not Lip-Syncing he's singing along with the album version.
Vlare RetroCysper no, he’s not. He was commonly known to lip sync back when he first started performing this song but this is purely him live
@@MRDUSTY2301 the only reason he lip synced was his shyness. Rick was very opposed to making the music video, but he didn't have much of any choice. He was an amazing singer though. (And a funny guy)
I'm just guessing. It could have been singing with some of his idols as a kid playing in the band behind him doing his song or perhaps it was the Royal Family in attendance. Either would mess with my mind.
I don't see the nervousness. Solid vocals, and decent stage presence.
Brian May on Guitar and Phil Collins on Drums... Great!
Timeless legends, fantastic.
The energy ❤
So hard to find Rick old live performances... Glad to find this
My Disco time. Unforgettable. I love it.
his voice never change
Nope! His voice has changed
Love it!!!
Little did these people know, that it would become a meme on a thing called the internet and it would become more popular than ever.
Lol yep
Se ve tan joven y con esa voz increíble es agradable escucharlo, y saber ke sigue cantando y componiendo bellas canciones 👏👏❤️🎶🎤
So many phenomenal stars at once! Breathtaking!!

Wow. Beautiful song with a Beautiful story.
Brian May & Phil Collins getting RickRoll'D are simply amazing 😂😂

One of the greatest dance floor filler songs of all time.
Yes, for sure they were the best artists of the 80's..What a style!!!📀📀📀😎😎😎
This legend is never gonna die
Wow! Philly Boy, on th drums! No wonder th percussion sounds so filled out, so dynamic
Rick likely has the greatest voice in Pop history.
Wtf? Best crossover ever!
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie
And hurt you
Que voz apaixonante 💃🎼🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👏👏👏
The multitude of instruments playing the song proves how hard it actually is to play this
Like,a lot of trumpets,(not an instrument, but) a lot of backing vocalists, two or three guitars, two basists, two keyboardists and one of the best drummers in the whole world
@@happylemming6343two drummers actually!
