Me either, that's why I HAD to see the game reveal. I was hoping the game would be better than it sounds, and based on how positive everyone's reactions were I can say it totally is!
Partners with unique abilities? Enhancements that do "status" effects to enemies? Story unfolding through paced progression? Upgrade-able stats for characters? Battle rewards that serve meaningful purposes? Toads are not overly rampant? Did Ubisoft just "out-Paper Mario" Nintendo?!
I actually like the idea of this game but I still cant help but find it weird to see Mario and Luigi taking cover behind some blocks shooting guns. But I love Xcom, I love Mario, and I love Rabbids. I think this game can really work, I love the humor, I can see myself sinking hours into it. You have to admit, they had some balls trying to create this mix, but I think they took the right risk here.

can we just all talk about how amazing the animations are? on the selection screen, the weapons have multiple things popping out and moving, the characters aren't static but breathe and look around, the combat animations are gorgeous etc boy the put a lot of work into this. can't WAIT to play it
There was SO much negativity around this game until it was officially revealed. From what I've seen, many people changed their minds about it after seeing gameplay, and thats kind of awesome. Glad people aren't afraid to admit it lol. Personally, I'm impressed with how much character this game has: animations, the world, cutscenes, etc.

I think they will make a boss called "Captain Rabbid". It may be a fusion of a rabbid and TOADETT, on which you unlock her afterwards.
