The writers did an incredible job this episode with Kim. They really set her up for success and she was able to be funny in every sketch.
They found something suited to her “talents”
They really did, I have really been laughing at her parts! She has been doing an amazing job.
I agree 100%!!! When I heard Kim was going to be on SNL I said no way I am watching it, do not like her at all, but all skits were funny, she did a great job!

Also, people who watch this definitely wasn’t bored if you don’t like it you can easily help yourself and click off and stop looking at anything with Kim Kardashian name on it. You can dislike somebody but dragging them base off their body work, or any of their business is you being stupid. We don’t know if she cry’s stay night because of all the hate so maybe just say nothing.
I don’t like Kim or the role she plays on the media, I like her true personality not the one people tell her to be so she could get more attention. I honestly also enjoy this video too, it’s amazing.

Try watching it with captions on. I felt like I was having a stroke. Words lost all meaning. Sentence syntax meant nothing. The fabric of space and time ruptured and I was visited by eldritch deities. It was... very hard to follow.

That would have been really funny, this skit wasn’t as funny as I was expecting and had so many opportunities to make it funnier, like with what you suggested.

Personally, I don’t think she was great. But I think she exceeded expectations and did a completely serviceable job as a host.
It showed (well) that she was likely came into this with a humble enough attitude to be cooperative, to rehearse, and to be willing not to take herself overly serious as a host. All positives.

@@tylerkochman1007 I think ppl were expecting something horrible but many people who follow Kim know she is very professional, even if they think her profession isnt worth their time. I’ve always enjoyed her sense of humor in interviews and her humility/integrity she tries to maintain (won’t gossip, supports her family, etc). It’s been interesting to watch her grow up

I think Kim just simply grew apart from Kanye. She's evolving in such a positive way. I wouldn't mind my man telling me what he wants to wear now and then but not everyday. I used to live in Rock Springs, WY but Kim is a West coast woman. Wyoming is very cold and in the winter we didn't see daylight until 8:45am. Kim put great effort into her performances plus she ended up falling in love and kept her cool during Kanye airing out their "dirty laundry". She isn't flaunting her relationship with Pete so more power to them both!

This sketch illustrates the difference between a professional and an amateur. Kim and Cecily are doing the same character, a beautiful woman with no personality who doesn’t react to anything going on around her. They’re doing the same thing, but somehow Cecily makes it funny. It’s subtle; it’s all in the acting. They should show this in theater classes.
Also, they are really mainstreaming stoner humor this season. This episode gave me several flashbacks to the underground comic books of the 60s.
I mean, I personally think Kim did fine with this sketch. It’s really just a matter of opinion. Kim is entirely capable of being on this show and that was proved by last night. cant we just all say good job kim and be done?
I think it's because we have an intuitive bias. We know Cecily is a comedian and a performer and Kim is not. So our brains are naturally going to react differently to their performances, even though both did fine. It's like when an unpopular kid makes a joke in high school and nobody laughs. But if a popular kid made the exact same joke, everybody laughs.
Kim did fine. She did a passable job in this sketch.
She should keep her day job (or lack of one), obviously, but she was a better host than most of us worried she might be.
She seems like did a decent job taking notes, agreeing to rehearse, and being willing to not take herself as seriously as she might normally
I didn’t mean this as a knock on Kim so much as a compliment to Cecily. Kim was fine. One could make the same observation about episodes hosted by athletes. My point is that acting is a real skill and this sketch illustrates that.
I forgot the name of the actress and her character, but one of the Charlie's exes from 2 and a 1/2 Men basically plays a person whose acting ability is like Kim's.
