That generation was the grandparents of mine-they are the great-grandparents of this generation.
The grandparents of this generation were the hippies who protested Vietnam’s war and took over the universities as professors which is why this generation thinks they are right.
They don’t know anything about the history of Israel and Gaza specifically and if they do then they actually support Hamas’ terrorism outright.

@@jean-louislalonde6070 I was born in the US a little over 30 years ago and I count myself lucky that due to my parent's profession, I grew up in a third world country without electricity or running water. I'm back in the states now, but I look around at people my age and younger and it disgusts me. They grew up with everything handed to them and they are the worst. I would use stronger language but my comment would get ghosted by youtube because you can't have free speech anymore, lest you hurt someone in their feels. I want to go back to Africa.

These students deserve nothing. No more passing due to their 'feelings', no debt forgiving, no free ride, charge, expel, and deport. They should pay fines to the other good students whose year they just ruined.
I wouldn't want a lawyer who wasn't mentally stable enough to take their final exam. Those names should be published so that everyone can make an informed decision when hiring a lawyer.

Dear Law School Dean...Please cancel our finals and give us undeserved passing grades because we're stressed out from all the violence we caused and from being arrested for knowingly breaking all the laws that we were taught to uphold. LOL!!!

They are degrading their law degree by engaging in this behavior. No reputable law firm is going to hire them. What's worse, students who did not participate in anti-Israel protests will be unfairly punished for their classmates bad decisions.
Instead of being given passing grades they should sign these brats up for a 2 year stint in the Marine Corps.

My mother worked in the DA's office for about 15 years. It's stressful and traumatizing, far beyond the "distress" created on campii by these protests.
You cannot imagine the depravity and licentiousness she witnessed completing packets for trial. The law is not for them.
I learned something new today - Columbia is a daycare center.
All the stress they brought on themselves. How much stress and damage have they caused for the students who weren't involved in this crap. People saw this coming decades ago when they started handing out participation trophies.

When I was in Ag school and we were to pull a stunt like this we would have been kicked out. I was in Texas A&M from 2012 to 2016 what are these schools doing?

And at the same time diminishing one of the best assets America has, its system of higher education, which has add ons of soft diplomacy because so many students come here from over seas to study. I have a feeling moving forward parents in places like the UAE and Japan will not want their kids coming to the US to study.

@@Renville80Ok with how expensive that school is I’d rather not see students unnecessarily pay them an additional $90k. That just seems like rewarding the school for it’s negligence. Let the kids try and fail or if the deserve to pass because they’ve actually been studying instead of protesting then awesome they can use that boost to their GPA to go elsewhere.

Columbia University received $1.2 billion of federal funding in 2023. The university produces students who write letters like the one in the video and others ask why American college isn't free.

I worked very hard to complete 2 engineering degrees with a GPA above a 3.0 on both of them at 2 different universities. I never asked my professors to give me passing grades without doing the work. These people have a horrible entitlement attitude!

I saw an interview with one student after the courts heard a motion by students about being banned from class and that they could not take their final exams. The girl said but if I do not write I cannot graduate this year. I did not know that this could happen to me. Comments were "no sympathy, welcome to the adult world where you are responsible for your actions, and so on". Plus many corporations are now saying if they see someone apply for a job and they are from Columbia their resume is to be tossed.
To think, ALL OF THIS! Started several years ago with participation trophies. Getting something for nothing is what these people expect.
I retired from the USAF in 2006 and immediately moved abroad. Best move I ever made. America has become a huge embarrassment.

Judge, this crime made me upset. I am asking you to cancel the rest of the trial and acquit the defendant.
Let us be clear and honest. With this request alone, they proved that: THEY SHOULD PROBABLY NOT HAVE PASSED THE TESTS THEY TOOK SO FAR.
