Hi, great play through. Easy to follow and very clearly presentet. Great Job! I have a couple of questions. At 4:16 strategic warfare, the flowchart states that after rolling combat die, you need to divide by 2 if committed an event marker (German used Subs). Seems harsh though that you need to /2 for every event marker so I might be wrong? At 6:30 you did not give the attacker and defender a -2 due to poor weather (it says attacking or defending a unit in a hex/sea sone in poor weather). I read this as all air units get -2 in poor weather? Just trying to understand this game :)
The Late Night Gamer Yes you are right. I made many mistakes in the France 1940 videos. The designer nicely pointed them out on the BoardGameGeek links to the videos. Thanks for the kind remarks.
Ok thanks for replying. No worries about the mistakes - Videos are unforgiving ;) Thank you for this very very good series. I bought the game because of it!
At 20.08 you note that you should have designated a "primary" unit in the assault. I can't find that in the rules. However, 5.3.7, 2nd paragraph says any attacking unit may advance, attacker's choice. So I think there's no need to designate a "primary" unit?
GREAT video! The uncanny ability to roll higher numbers for the German is impressive!

Why is the attack on Paris legal at 13:00 going from an EZOC to an EZOC exerted by the same enemy unit to the south?
Great videos, helped me get going. One question thought, isnt there supposed to be a -2 drm penalty for attacking in poor weather?
Hi. It's been a while since I filmed this but that sounds correct - I'm sure I made other errors as well :)
Counter Attack No worries, Thanks for the film. :)
does the fort half the die roll before you add extras?
Do forts half the die roll or the die roll after all modifiers?

Sorry, I see "primary" in 5.3.4, but it doesn't affect advance, only DRM such as not attacking across a river.
You do indeed have to declare a primary unit. Checkout out step 1 of the combat resolution sequence.
Yep. I noted that in my follow-up post. Great video btw, it is really helping me get into the game!
How long does it take to play the France campaign aproximately? Thanks!
nice tweezers. any specific tweezer recommendations?
I purchased them at a drug store many years ago. I think tweezers with a bent tip are best for wargames.
thanks. Have you tried the full campaign or have you moved on already?
Stephen Tam I have not tried the full campaign yet, but I will. I love this game and don't think that will change.
