_The last question is about REPENT: for me its good that we should repent every day because we sin every day. So never stop repenting. We sin in minds, in words, and in actions every day. I love that question @26:00 because to those who preach once saved always saved the only gospel you need is a prayer.....I literally just left a Baptist church since the pastor insisted on preaching that after you accept jesus into your life you never have to obey God but you'll still be saved....that's just too much right there, that's giving people a license to sin instead of rebuking it
king bibibear I believe it is once saved always saved. Once we belong to God, no one can snatch us out of his hand. Those who go on living in sin after they are “saved”, are not actually saved. Those who are truly saved are those who hate sin, and turn away from it.
@@23tylbri yeah but theres people who have turned from sin then become apostates.....the devil was the closest to the glory of the father & even he lost his spot in heaven....the Israelites receieved the salvation of the lord to get out of Egypt but the ground still oppened up beneath them & swallowed them up.....jesus says that whoever doesnt stay in him is cast out into the fire so to have been in him those people wouldve had to experienced salvation but rejected it
king bibibear I agree with you, however, the Bible makes it clear that those who became apostate were never part of the faith to begin with. 1 John 2:19. So they didn’t lose their salvation, they never had it.

king bibibear I don’t see what your point is? That verse goes right along with the verse in 1 John. True, sanctified, redeemed, regenerate Christians are who bare fruit. They are truly Christians. The ones who don’t and get cut off and thrown away are false converts. They are not true Christians. They never belonged to the faith to begin with. That’s what Jesus is addressing here. It also goes along with Matthew 7:21-23. True Christians cannot lose their salvation. The ones who get cut off, or are apostate or anything like that we’re never Christians. The Bible is very clear on that.

Praise be to God for Voddie being at this conference for this reason, so many Arminians want to put down Calvin for the things they may have read about happening in his life that were sinful, as if, they themselves are not sinners. The bottom line is this, is what Calvin preached and taught, Biblical? Does it line up with the will of God and if you are being honest you would have to answer YES. Arminians want to try and expose this man’s sin’s without first emptying their own closets of which in itself is sin because of un-righteous Judgement (Matt 7:3)
@@ElectOne22_ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. To learn the scriptural acceleration as we gather inspiring promise. We must dedicate our preaching to that of the one who is called the righteousness of God. And no longer consequences of sin through the power of the law .
God had us with Him from the beginning in Garden of Eden. He had direct fellowship with us, but the sin (disobedience & rebellion) of Adam & Eve. We got us separated from the presence of God. God is Holly can not face sin. Now He has extended His mercy and sent His Son Jesus to get give us a 2nd chance. It's up to us to receive His mercy or reject it. But if we reject Him this time around, we'll have to face the consequences, wrath of God. Some people say, "what if is not real?" I would say, "better have it and don't need it than need it and don't have it. As the old saying, better be save than sorry. It is literally true in this case. May God Bless you all.
You’re listening to the best. These men are deeply knowledged Christian theologians who study the Word of God righteously and fervently. Thank you for your Faith in Jesus Christ. I will keep you, and all of us, in prayer.
That was cute and sweet. I pray that the Lord lifts your mind and spirit so that you have greater understanding, and also that you can better appreciate exactly who God has made you. You sound like a treasure to me.
I knew a preacher who was not reformed but did believe that speaking in tongues had ceased he was in a meeting in Mexico when several men went to the altar he went to one man and first asked him if he could understand him the man said yes then he explained the plan of Salvation to him and he got saved afterwards the Pastor of the Church was talking to him and said he noticed them talking and said I thought you said that you couldn't speak Spanish Frank said I can't the Pastor said that man cannot speak a word of English Frank told me that was the only time he ever witnessed anything Supernatural as a Preacher.
Absolutely , nobody capable to come or choose God by human ability. Man always chooses wrong way . The only way Man becomes save because God forgive their sins.People’s become save not because they receive Jesus , because God forgive their sin , God action is count not our actions . That’s why most teaching now days we have to receive Jesus in order to become save .
I read The Old Testament and I never saw that. What I do is pray and ask ALMIGHTY GOD to open my heart, soul, spirit, mind and eyes to HIS Word. Only then you get see, hear and honour HIS Word and RIGHTEOUSNESS, Sovereignty and realised HIS HOLINESS.
i DO WONDER HOW ANY OF THOSE PREACHERS(?) WOULD EXPLAIN THIS VERSE!!! "No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest." HEB 8:11
I don't know if you ever got an answer to your question, but there is one. I don't know if you know the Lord Jesus Christ or not, but if you can read online The Bible Knowledge Commentary, this passage and context will become more clear to you. God had given to Israel a covenant full of promises but also warnings. But when the warnings weren't heeded, God made another covenant called the New Covenant. Read about it.

Voddie nailed it... "We're assuming, that number one, that there are some Christian writers, leaders, historical figures out there that weren't sinners...right, 'cause whatever Luther wrote, here's a news flash-- what he thought was worse. I'm not talking about this issue, I just mean in general. He was a sinful man. He SAID sinful things, he THOUGHT sinful things, he DID sinful things- BUT SO ARE YOU. And It's always ironic to me that people want to dismiss Luther or Calvin or Edwards or whoever, because of some issue that they find out about in their lives, BUT they don't DISQUALIFY themselves for things they THINK and SAY and DO. The fact of the matter is, you know, God's never used a sinless man to write things for us. All of them are sinners. Um, so, unless you are getting ready to dismiss everything that's ever been written. Um, be real careful about whether or not somebody writing something true and helpful should be dismissed because they there are areas in their in life where they were inconsistent and hypocritical, because that's ALL OF US. " AMEN!
I'm pretty sure Luther, Calvin, Edwards, etc. would have some concerns with you and RC Jr sexting pics of your genitalia to each other while you were still married to another man (ref: Spinderella Sproul). They'd also have an issue with RC encouraging you to divorce your husband so he could marry you, a 3x divorcee, as did his Presbytery. So rather than submitting to them he bailed and demitted his ordination. But hey, we're all sinners! Hypocrisy normalized. So it's all good!
Lisa, ever since you and RC married 4 years ago you've been spinning your duplicitous "restoration narrative." Those of us who've personally known and worked with RC many years before you ever met him concluded that RC is a reprobate. Or as his close friend, and the man that ordained him in the Covenant Presbyterian Church, James McDonald stated, "RC Jr is a wolf in sheep's clothing." We can debate that if you like. What isn't debatable are the biblical requirements for ministry (Titus 1:5-9, 1 Tim. 3:1-7). RC fails to meet even one of those criteria, let alone all of them. None of those biblical standards require sinless perfection. It only requires a few basic things like moral integrity and a good reputation, the very things RC has proven by his unremitting scandals that he's devoid of. There are obvious reasons you've gotten so much push back on RC restoring himself to ministry. Contrary to your victim complex it has nothing to do with "we're being persecuted." Calling himself "Pastor" and "Rev." doesn't make it so. In addition to RC's multitudinous biblical disqualifications, he's not ordained. Demitting his last ordination so he could marry you, a 3 time divorcee, guarantees he'll never find a sympathetic denomination to ordain him again. You need to face the reality that RC will never be welcomed to be a minister of the gospel again, not in respectable company anyway. You're living in denial of the obvious. Either that or you already know these things but see certain advantages, likely financial, in continuing in your misguided _ministry_ fantasy. For example there's RC's weekly video in which he grifts for "donations" ostensibly to buy a very expensive piece of land to build a church on. Pretty obvious it'll take $millions. Not a chance anywhere near that much will ever come in. But maybe a few hundred thousand? Based on his history we already know where the donations go -- right in RC's pocket. So just anticipate getting lots more push back from those of us who see it for what it is -- a scam. RC Sproul Jr needs to face facts. It's well past time he sit down, shut up, and take a seat in the pews next to the rest of us. Time to get an honest day job where any further scandals he causes won't bring further shame and disgrace to the church.
@R.C. Sproul, Jr. Do you really think Voddie or any of the men you appear with here would consider you a "friend"? You've been persona non grata with every man in this video (other than your late father) ever since your blacked-out drunk driving and stoned on opioids arrest. Oh, and that Ashley Madison thing didn't help your "friendship" with any of these men either. They want nothing to do with you. Anyway... is this really you RC Jr commenting here? Or is it just your "sacred marriage" 3-times divorced wife affirming herself using your "voice" yet once again? Pulllllease Lisa! Your toxic narcissism is showing again.
God has spoken, let God's Truth and his church say Amen! Everything that's an add on is a lie! Thank God for these men of God and all of his sheep who stand on The Foundation for which Christ laid.
Simplest explanation? FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE. No works. No feelings. FAITH in CHRIST'S sacrifice for man. Nothing else. Repentance is changing your mind . Changing non belief to belief after recognizing you are a sinner and needs CHRIST as Savior.
I love this question which begins this discussion I would state: defining sin That's something that is a core issue. You can't see it taste it touch it or locate it. Yet it exists and hamartilogy (the study of sin) is missing from any and all understanding. What is it? I would add it's temporal and God is eternal. He alone is altogether separate. He is not like man. He is not equal. Righteousness and Evil are not competing and definitely not equal. That is the core issue and missing from and leading to all these other others we struggle in and with.
I ve alwys struggled with that 8 yr olds question...why we were not created eternally fixed...but i came to this thought...hopefully from God...that Angels were created eternally fixed...but a third fell and are eternally damned now...that would be us too if we were created eternaly fixed...thats why
The Holy Spirit isn't revealing Christ to many churches because self, feelings, what I think are still central. He didn't want us forced to be with Him. He wants us to return His love personally, by choice
Sproul proving that a kindly old man isn’t kind because he’s weak, but because he could crush you at will, but will let it slide til you cross the line.
One of the most recent thangs that I see maybe not so much in the church as a world perspective that Christ is not the only way but to preach the word we must proclaim that Christ is the only way.
Grace to us all and may God bless our fathers in the faith for this wonderful time of Q and A. But please, I'm still not clear with the response to the question of speaking in tongues.
Tongues are different languages - English, Spanish, German, French.... And Scripture states that there must always be someone there to translate that which was spoken. Think of it - God is not the author of confusion. So why would anyone pray with me in a tongue that I do not understand? It only proves to me that the person is more focused on self than God Almighty.
Howdy I'm hoping you're the KT from reformedapologeticsministries, com? If you are not than just ignore this message! You are at war with the catholics and I'm with you on that but why is it that you follow them on the sabbath change?? The catholics boost about changing it right in our faces and even say that it proves their authority on doctrine cause all the protestants went right along with them!!! If you love me keep my Commandments! Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy! God never changes!! He surely didn't change the sabbath!! The Bible says that his chosen people, his remnant church will be the church that keeps the commandments! If you break one you break them all!! Just wondering if you're going to study that doctrine?? Or, are you going to do what the catholic church wants you to do??I hope you wake up!
On some things - such as the question from Jesse, age 8: "If God wants us to spend all eternity with Him, why didn't He just put us with Him from the start?" - it is better to be humble and honest and say, "I/We just don't know." R.C., God rest his soul, gives a catechetical (?) answer. W-a-y too simplistic. (R.C. Jr.'s answer, although a bit more thoughtful, was no better.) Some things are mysteries and decisions known only to God. The "to bring glory to Himself" answer is - again - very simplistic and only reveals what God will do through the situation, not why the situation was the way it was or is what it is. God will work all things together for good (Romans 8:28-29) even given this truth - that we were not created "already fixed." Why did God allow for it to be this way or possibly establish, begin or plan it that way??? We don't really know. But, we DO know that He will glorify Himself by His interaction with every human being through it. And, I might also say that his answer to the man who expressed that he was struggling with anger at God over his son's death was - although academically correct - absolutely heartless, brazen, arrogant and lacked empathy. With all due respect, he might have benefited more from CPE than a Ph.D.
The minimum amount of scripture we must be familiar with to he saved..... wow... well - 0. But it should light a fire within that person a desire to know as much as possible. Our elders will be the first to tell us that they never stop learning. Nor should we.
Reformed theology, Calvinists, Lutherans, Catholics, Baptists, methodists, etc are all off a little or much. There is only THE WAY OF HOLLINESS!! I here plenty of ideas that seem right mixed with pockets of truth. Decision.. let these guys teach you or let the Holy Spirit teach you. Choose wisely.
Really loved this Q&A session. Thank you Ligonier for all you do :) :)
I thank God for His grace in my life. I grew up in a charismatic church but after finding great men of God i finally see that im far away from His path.
Love the amazing truths and wisdom revealed here!
There is no anger towards God , how can there be ? God made all , He allowed us to have children , and others in our life .We owe God!
I loved this, thanks so much Ligonier Ministries. Got bless you🙏🏼❤️
Very informative and lively Q&A. May God bless you all.
These panels are such a gift. Thanks for sharing.
Loving this broadcast. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge for God's glory. I can now use this as a tool to help others in some of these difficult questions.
Awesome stuff. Food for the soul.
We are saved by grace through faith dr sproul
Love Sproul. He just- got so lit. And then he just said, "i wanted to be lively." xD
This was very educational and informative. The panel gave very effective answers to spiritual questions posed. Keep up the good work.
Preach just like Jesus did that's all..That's the truth..That's what God wants..Preach for God's glory not for the wold..
Miss you R. C.
If more modern day churches were 1% as faithful and devoted to the truth as these guys we wouldnt be living in the age of the false church.

Right?! 😂
RC Sproul doesn’t know why you are laughing, he’s talking about you.
A rephrasing of one of Paul D Washer’s most famous quote
Praise be to God for Voddie being at this conference for this reason, so many Arminians want to put down Calvin for the things they may have read about happening in his life that were sinful, as if, they themselves are not sinners. The bottom line is this, is what Calvin preached and taught, Biblical? Does it line up with the will of God and if you are being honest you would have to answer YES. Arminians want to try and expose this man’s sin’s without first emptying their own closets of which in itself is sin because of un-righteous Judgement (Matt 7:3)
I agree !
Theologos If I have to explain to you what I mean it's because the people I'm referring to are you...repent lol.
I think Armenianism and Calvinism both have things right. And I don't believe you have to choose between the two.
@@jeffreyyoungblood7438 I believe God is sovereign. But in his sovereignty he has given man free will to believe in his Son.
Ephesians 1:3-14 ESV
bible.com/bible/59/eph.1.3-14.ESV
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Ephesians 2:1-10 ESV

There are many many verses like these. 🙂I would encourage you to read the passages regarding Gods sovereignty and man's bondage to sin.🙏 I think you will find the bible is very clear about man's inability to choose to believe before he is changed by God. How can that which does not believe change to a state of belief when it is dead?🤷♂️
Love the second question from Jesse, the 8 year old!
Dr Sproul the most accurate statement absolutely 👍

Amazing. Love these Q&As.
Everything Dr. Baucham said about the father-son relationship can be said for mothers and daughters.
The biggest problem is that self is still of utmost importance just like in the garden.
Thank you!
Oh boy that's me. My dad and I are on different paths. He's 76 and me 56, I sincerely believe most of my family won't make it and only a couple that have gone on before me. I know I'm saved but know my pops isn't. Hurts, but it's his choice to be foolish. I'm grateful that our Father blessed me with my dad and I'm really trying. Sometimes I think the seed will sprout and other times s I see nothing but pride. He'd be the very first to tell you that " he's a good man" when you all know none of us are. He blaspheme on purpose Sometimes just to make me cringe. But, all I can do is love him even broken. I know God is first in everything I do so it's OK that my family might not be, when even then I'll have you all as my mother's, brother's and sisters. Love you all in Him in all ways. Peace

This is so wonderful
He did put us with him from the beginning-we sinned
R.C.'s laugh. Never fails to make me laugh too.
To learn the scriptural acceleration as we gather inspiring promise. We must dedicate our preaching to that of the one who is called the righteousness of God. And no longer consequences of sin through the power of the law .
Regarding Luther's harsh words about_______, Sproul told the truth...and I appreciate that.
I’m a new Christian and it’s really hard to
Understand they’re answers cuz they’re so smart lol
Priceless! "How can we overcome the view from the Old Testament of an Angry, unloving, etc. God?"
My answer: READ IT!
"No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know
the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the
greatest." HEB 8:11
I don't know if you ever got an answer to your question, but there is one. I don't know if you know the Lord Jesus Christ or not, but if you can read online The Bible Knowledge Commentary, this passage and context will become more clear to you. God had given to Israel a covenant full of promises but also warnings. But when the warnings weren't heeded, God made another covenant called the New Covenant. Read about it.

"Read all the way to the right side of the book"
Amir Harris: that's right on point Amir, took the words out my mouth
Simplest explanation? FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE. No works. No feelings. FAITH in CHRIST'S sacrifice for man. Nothing else. Repentance is changing your mind . Changing non belief to belief after recognizing you are a sinner and needs CHRIST as Savior.
Excellent replies
I would love to see R. C. Sproul's book collection
I love this question which begins this discussion
I would state: defining sin
That's something that is a core issue.
Domt you read your own gibberish
If the Angeles were so called eternally fixed they would not have fallen
Millennials wow 8 yr olds out think them
Why is there no redemption for them angels then ...
38:14 is one of my favorite parts. #2LBCF
Thank you!!!!!
This was brilliant they men are so funny
So many questions
Awesome.

I'm hoping you're the KT from reformedapologeticsministries, com?

(R.C. Jr.'s answer, although a bit more thoughtful, was no better.)
Some things are mysteries and decisions known only to God.
Thank u God for Jesus, Thank u God for your Compassion!!
Well..one thing is for sure: Dr Sproul knows who God is now😮
