@@CyrusofChaos I think the rationale is that Gerek is extending before the attack initiates with the arm from Sid, suggesting the intent for a counterattack-closeout defensive action. The contact I heard sounded like Gerek nicking the guard as Sid extends, making it LOOK LIKE counter-attack from left is on the guard, riposte/remise right, counter-attack-remise (no priority) left..touch right. Edit: That is to say, it's a very gray-area interpretive touch and I think throwing it out, as they did is ultimately the fairest call given the situation. But if I had to call it, I would call it for Sid, and I could see Gerek feeling screwed on interpretation, so i'd also throw it out.
4:53,The right side has already made a lunge, which means an attack has been completed, and the left side has scored. The referee unexpectedly changed the judgment, which is something I didn't expect.
I totally dig Sid Kumbla's tactics and his ability to change the rhythm and speed of his footwork.
the balls of him to go for that on 14-14
hard fought victory! Damn!
This was a crazy match
Exciting competition!
that was a bit tense :,) had my heart pounding on the last point
Thanks for not giving it away : )
Instant hood classic
Really wanted to see Meinhardt take it, too bad. Both are incredibly good
what was the card at 12:30 for?
All I can come up with is he dropped an F bomb
Yeh it's for swearing
20:43 not parry riposte?
I also heard the blade contact before the light went on and he was clearly going for a parry. Idk 🤷🏼♂️

Simultaneously with the counterattack posture
The initial call was attack from right no, counterattack from left, touch. After looking at video he changed the call to attack is off target
thank!!!!@@CyrusofChaos
Meinhardt had that last parry and riposte
Why do they keep restarting the point?
If it's off-target they start from where the action left off
