That depends on the specific model, but IF they have a Menu button it's normally just on the front of the monitor. Some monitors don't have a Menu button, in which case it's probably another button or a combination of buttons: which model do you have?
Thanks you so much for this fix! I can finally use my monitor. Nothing is physically broken, you just have to pry open the front panel and clamp it back shut after disconnecting the correct cable. The only thing is that the buttons won't work anymore, but who cares, the monitor powers off automatically when you shut down the computer and now I don't have to spend more money on a new monitor!
FIXED: THIS IS MY FIX THAT WORKED ON ( HP f2105 monitor ONLY) You will need to open the back and find where the power board is..on mine is was in the right lower area and it was all one board. Now its a stick buttons and it maybe more then one.. I had 3 stuck buttons... When you need to do is pop the tops off of all the buttons . !!! LEAVE THE POWER BUTTON ALONE !!! Take off the tops of the buttons on the board all 6 of them.. this fixed my problem and it works grate once again. NO MORE OSD LOCK OUT SIgns and I can turn on/off the power without having to unplug it. www.swarthmore.edu/NatSci/echeeve1/Class/E02/Lab02/switch.jpg Just pop the top metal and plastic black button off.. Inside is a brass peace, remove it as its the contact Same pic's encase one is removed or not working. media.apcmag.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2013/03/apcnews2012arduino_logo_mainImage10.jpg10.jpg.. cdn.sparkfun.com//assets/parts/9/0/00097-03-L.jpg late you can remove the old buttons and replace them. Or try popping the top off the Menu button first... Good luck. .
Before you (un)screw your monitor, you could try simply holding the Menu button for 30 seconds.
does not work on all monitors. did not work on mine
Helonaut SR it works on mine but for awhile, then it comes back and pressing menu wont work. Piece of shit technology.

Another way, you can try to hold Menu button for 30 sec, so it will reset to factory setting , which can be helpful as well in some case.
