Hiking at Dames Caves in Withlacoochee State Forest

Hiking at Dames Cave in Withlacoochee State Forest in central Florida located within the Citrus Tract. There are many karst and limestone features throughout these areas of Florida. These dry caves are neat to experience along with the scenic hiking trails nearby. A nice loop trail which is part of the Florida Trail can be found nearby. There are many formations like this and sinkholes as well around these areas please use caution when hiking here. These caves are more visited than many of the others in the area so unfortunately people have left trash and vandalized this site over the years.
