On my 12 Yukon Denali awd, has the bw4485 xfer case ------------- Nevermind it was in neutral 😐😒 pretty dumb huh.... ------------- I can spin the front driveshaft when it is in park with all wheels off the ground and rear driveshaft doesn't turn at all, doesn't act like a planetary between the front and rear shaft at all, not sure if that's normal or not but doesn't seem right
@@Autoenginecheck oh thanks for your response. I'm working on mine, its a 4484 hummer h2 2006 but one small piece fell out of the transfer case when I was opening it, and I don't have any idea where it came from? I have searched on internet and don't find anything, if you don't mind giving me your email, I could send you some pictures and have a look, maybe you could help. Thanks so much 🙏
Question ??? What was worn out ?? And I have a Denali 2012 1500 awd and I have a vibration in the front that caused my transfer case to go out ?? So needs replacement?? Thank you
@@jameshub327 hi James, I have a 09 Escalade with that harsh clunk too . What was the fix ? I'm in the process of rebuilding a spare transfercase thinking it's the sloppy chain ? Please let me know what was your fix . Thank you
@@vikingvitosperando1977 I changed the motor mounts & greased the slip yost splines . Still have a clunk. I'm gonna open up the transfer case next and take a look.
Umm....you guys left out some important parts. For the audience, don't watch this video thinking "that's all there is to it".
Thanks for comment sir
Se puede recortar esa cadena cuando ya esta muy floja?
12:19 you didn’t properly time the planetary gears.
Do not install gear without first seeing the mark. After the mark is applied
I get a loud noise as soon as I shift to drive or reverse. I have the same transfer case, do you think that is the problem?
First check the gear transfer case oil If the oil is evenly spaced, the chain inside has become larger I got this problem from many cars
How much chain stretch is allowable on these?
you check gm dealer shop
Wow gd job
At what mileage do you replace a chain? From what I understand you only replace one chain, do you?
only chain and all seal
At 1;53 I have a similar sound in my 2014 Denali when I use front or rear shift, did it go away after you replaced the chain? Thanks

It is normal for the front driveshaft to spin when it is in park
And the rear driveshaft does not go full 1 round because of the rear diff lock system
I did the same and know it wont spin all at once :/
What fluid did you fill with, everywhere I look it calls for dex 6, the AC Delco fluid you were using looked clear.
We always bought parts from the company with the chassis number of the car and the company gave it
do the shaft move always the same? or is it possible that one of them keeps static when pressure?
yes that one of them keeps static when pressure
Hello, nice video out there, I was wondering if you ever worked on a hummer h2 4484 transfer case? Thanks
no sir

This truck makes a squeaking noise so you have to replace it?
Yes sir
R gear or drive gear noise also
@@Autoenginecheck my truck make a humping sound when I drive 4 wheels,I tried taking it off and checked bearing and chain not loose

If the front and rear drive shif is bad then it will vibrate so check first. Later change the tenasphere case
Will a loose chain cause a harsh clunk when switching gears?

I also seen a video saying bad leaf springs can be the culprit. My springs are bad.
