I'm thinking definitely A++ That is a premium moss agate. The golden moss contrasts very well with the ocean floor side. I don't just want to see cabs, I want to buy some of that!!!☕️☕️
That is a really awesome looking agate. That one half almost looks like a mossy/sagenite mix in a way, but 100% looks like a frozen capsule of an underwater garden scene. Incredible stuff!!
When cutting a cabochon with a void, just imagine where to dome would be if it were solid. What you don't want is for the top to appear to go into the void and look like a flat spot. Based on the work you've already shown us, you should have no problems cutting a cab with a void. I look forward to seeing what you do with these very nice slabs.
You got a whole ecosystem trapped in a single moment in time xD very cool find! First thing that came to mind was these would make an interesting set of coasters if you have that split right down the middle of each. idk, maybe not the most pleasing idea to many but there's too much detail to not feature if you wind up making something super small like a necklace or something :)
Scott, intriguing dimorphism in the agate! The darker "seaside" looks almost sagenitic or more likely to me a Turkish stick agate. I'd love to see what you do with either side of it.
