I agree! My husband keeps telling me to write down my recipes for the kids to have someday, but I tell him I make it all different each time! All depends what we have. Guess I could write a base recipe or something!
I've never heard of ployes until now. I was raised in the south and...am now in the Southern Appalachian mountains of Western NC. THIS is why I love UA-cam. I must try ployes soon. In fact, my long-term tenant is from Maine. I am going over there right now and impress her with my new found knowledge. HAHA
I bake her bread ... she says it's just like her Nana's bread. That is a compliment!

Today watching it I had to stop way too many times to be able to tell you which one was my favorite. I know I love watching you cook together-especially the nachos, filling up the tortilla cups. So cute. I wish sometimes my husband would cook with me. Try to learn at least one new thing. Someday maybe.

We purchased a heeler from Schwarzentuber family, good dog
They raise wonderful dogs!
Some of my pantry things I have done, leftovers=( 3hamburgers, 2 slice of ham, 6 biscuts, carrots, potatoes) I added mushrooms, brown gravy over the meats chopped, onion and topped them off with cheese and leftover biscuts then baked. Today I took leftover Rice, carrots, peas, what was left of my orange marmalade and leftover peach/mango chutney. I added a dollop of peanut butter soy sauce cayenne pepper flakes, home canned chicken. Yum.
One of my husband's favorite Asian dishes has peanut butter in it. He also loves mango. I bet he would have like that! 💛

I love this! You guys cooking together. More of these please even after the PC ends. And J. is a man after my own heart. When I make hubby nacho's I put exactly 3-chili beans on each scoop...hubby won't eat refried beans. Three. I also sprinkle cheese over the nacho's and he puts his salsa on after they cook. I would have mailed J. a bottle of creamer if I thought it would have gotten there before going bad. I can't do without coffee creamer...I'd have sneaked back in bed and J. would ask where those cold feet came from...huh...I just walked into town and back for coffee creamer up hill both ways. :D You will have to make him some powered creamer *I shudder at the thought but if I was desperate, i'd probably kidnap a cow* to keep in the freezer for the next pantry challenge. The only thing i've ever used curry for is hubby's chicken salad. I don't know how it taste but he says it's good.
Lol! You always make me smile! I love your comments! Joe also thank you for thinking of him. I must be a terrible person, because I don't feel bad. He likes the coffee mate pumpkin spice creamer. I told him I can just make it for him, but coffee mate has spoiled him. I need to find their recipe! 😁❤
@@JulieKeeperofMyHome I'm a 1/2 & 1/2 kind of girl. My son on the other hand is a Coffee Mate french vanilla snob. He will drink nothing else. Hope you guys have a good week ahead. Stay warm! We are hovering around 20* at night but tomorrow is a heat wave of a high of 51*. The joys of living in the south. Freeze to death one day and sweat the next.
With the way our temps have been I think I could sweat at 20*. We are currently sitting at -10. Tomorrow we might reach 10 above, if we're lucky. 🥶
The light was cracking me up, made me laugh out loud!
That stupid light! My sister in law called me laughing so hard. We really need to get it fixed, but electricians are so expensive! 😳

Together, we worked a good 2 hours digging our little homestead out of it. We have been hearing hoe cold Florida is. I hope this doesn't mean raised citrus prices. 😔

Salisbury steak is something I have never made but remember my grandma making it. I need to see if I can figure out how to make it allergy friendly.

Thank you!! It was fun!! We finished it up at the end of February, but most definitely could have gone longer. My husband loves browsing through grocery stores, and I think he really missed that. 😉

When you say you are using fresh meat, does that mean it has not been frozen? Just curious.
Thank you, Jean! Welcome to my family of keepers! When I say fresh, I just mean not store bought. Our son raised beef cows last year, so we did get some from him. We froze everything and just thaw as we use it. I probably should have explained that better. Thank you for asking! Have a wonderful day! 😊

I’ve easily completed the challenge, but I cheated by accident.
A real accident!
On Wednesday 19th I fell out of my wheelchair, on the way to cub scouts, so I got back into it and carried on with my day.
On Thursday I went into town to the bank, nipped into the community centre to pick something up and helped out at scouts that evening.
On Friday I help out at a mother and baby group, and an older persons friendship group.
The other volunteer that helps to run the meeting could see I was in pain and insisted on taking me to hospital, where they discovered I had broken hip, so Saturday morning I had a partial hip replacement.... and that’s sort of where I cheated, because I’ve been in hospital since the 21st, (today is the 31st) and don’t know when I’m going home!!

Oh gosh! We will be praying for you! I don't think this would be categorized as "cheating". More like "extenuating circumstances". Focus on getting well, and going home! 💞🙏
