Unfortunately, the LARSON / SWEETLIGHT softboxes we have used for four decades are no longer available. Created by George Larson in the 1970's, in 2019, the company that most recently produced his famous and popular line has given in to competition and cheap imports. When you're ready, there remain some very high quality soft box manufacturers that make light modifiers that will probably last a lifetime.

TIM looking good. can you help me with soft Boxes? Had you rather have silver inside or white inside? I know you prefer white on the outside. Thanks for all you do sir. YOU ROCK! I have a Bride coming in soon.

As always, I am so grateful you to share your experience and skills but to watch you actually put it into practice is priceless. I am still learning everything and I learned to use the Canon EF70-200 from you. So, I have a question .... do you use Image Stabilization? Why or why not? Do you have any tips to using it? Thank you!

Thanks Tim.. I have been doing this for years as well and still have issues with the hands so I love that you pay a lot of attention to this aspect of the portrait and watching you work reminds me of my old mentor from the film days.... My question for you is, are you ever tempted to move the style along to be in more in line with contemporary portraiture these days.. Or do you find that this wonderful traditional way of doing this still has a future or is it a dying art form.. Thanks

Amazing how many different details you work into the various poses. Also, I don't understand why some imply your style is "old" vice someone else's style is contemporary. Good posing and good lighting is good photography, period. Thank you Tim for putting this video online.

I think you're stressed her out to much , she so sweet , let her be herself , let her bring something from inside her, but the same time ,show her the way ...

And to be honest ,I got nervous every time you got close to her, it looks she's very nervous when you do that , tell the other woman on set what to do , she will do it for you !

Oh, please stop with your inane comments. Tim is crystal clear about how he poses his clients before signing the contract. He is particularly attentive to hand positions to enhance a perfectly captured moment. He masterfully creates stunning classic portraits. Only your own mind perceives that the bride is uncomfortable. I don't see that at all.

Haim, thanks for watching! Our bride has her mom there - equally enjoying her third daughter's shoot. I have been making portraits for the family for about 35 years, and Ansley since she was born. She's a laughing girl and is not stressed or nervous.
How can you think another person can pose with the precision I need for my signature portraits? Sorry, this is part of the reason I have been an extremely successful specialist for decade after decade. People line up for what I do, as I don't take pictures - I am a portraitist. Very, very different indeed.
