I lost my sketchbook spark in the first half of the year.. until I picked it up again in july!
I finished the last pages of my sketchbook in record time and immediately started a new one. And now, less than a month later, I'm already done with the first half!

Omg the portrait with "slow down you crazy child" is my favorite !! This song from Vienna is really dear to my heart because it helped me during hard times and sometimes I still tear up when I'm listening to it :')
And the portrait OMG !! It's so beautiful ! At first I thought the bleed through was intentional like I thought it was the way you colored it X) and the way she looks up is really inspiring because when I'm feeling down or feeling like life is boring or unnecessary I look up to see things we don't look at normally (the roofs, birds on trees, people at their window) and it makes me realize once again that life and every little aspect of it is beautiful :)
Anyway this was a long paragraph just to say that I find this piece really poetic and cool and if you happen to make prints of it (which I hope so ;)) I would for sure be the first buyer !

Burnishing may be the word you're looking for when describing the color pencil drawings on the left side of the Betty Boop sketches!

Hey! It was AMAZING!!! Can you make a video on how you protect your pages? like the page which was painted with pastel or colored pencils, how did you prevent it from smudging?
i either just tape a page of wax/tracing paper over it, or i spray it with fixative

loved the tour! when you showed the last empty pages - although there's no need to fill them you can just leave them empty - i thought about how fun it could be to let others fill them up ;3; like art friends or even non art friends

Lovely sketchbook, the variety and amount of drawings is always so impressive! The decision to leave the last pages empty does feel kinda meaningful, especially since you've been filling these sketchbooks for so long. Can't wait to see what's next!

not everyone’s sketchbook looks pinterest perfect, mine is also filled with random sketches and doodles that might not look aesthetically pleasing to you :)
@lavendertiles just because your sketchbooks don't look like this doesn't mean hers can't. Sketchbooks are very personal to the artist and are a place to play around with your ideas and practice. This will look different for everyone. Filling in a sketchbook quickly to get it done is just as valid as taking months to finish one . Both messy and aesthetic sketchbooks are good. Stop comparing yourself and just enjoy the art . It's not that deep
