Internationally Boyz to Mens, Westlife, UB40 and so many male groups still works together and if they are not working together they are still doing music individually. Few things, 1. Unlike Sauti Sol who built themselves, Elani depended on Dj Pinye to stardom. He was their manager and he played their songs on repeat pale the beat 2. Music is a career with peanuts. When it dawned that they cant make any meaningful money, they followed their classroom careers 3. Two womem and 1 gent was a flop. Women feminized the guy until he couldnt write any more music 4. Life happened. Both ladies got married and their focus moved from the gent and the group. If the group was to survive, only thing was to marry the guy or they all remain single

These are elitist, high minded artists and that just cant work especially in Africa...this is the thing that made these trio not resonate with Kenyans... Talent they have, art they have and charisma they have but they only appeal to like 1% of listeners... Most Kenyan fans relate to street level, rugs to riches, or still on the grind kind of artists these are some how a showcase of "look at me, am educated, smart, beautiful and my family's financially sound" that doesn't really work with most Kenyans...
