While Yorihi was alive Muzan didnt dare show his face all because of one encounter that lasted a few seconds where Muzan escaped by an inch of his life. 300 years later he still has PTSD

Not just muzan, but even his cells still have Post Tsugukuni Stress Disorder from one encounter with Yoriichi.
I love Yoriichi’s theme and previously realized how much pain he was in
Epic! Yorichi was legendary. Not only were demons afraid of him so were the demon slayers ..He even struck fear in the heart of the Demon king Muzan making him hide for 400 yrs. He still hasnt healed from the wounds given by yoriichi. I know Tanjiro is not a descendent of Yorichi as later revealed..but i personally feel that he was definitely a reincarnation of him (not given in the manga) . its my personal opinion that Yorichi found comfort in the ancestor of Tanjiro and his family...desperately yearning for the simplicity of their life (Which he lost )..i feel when he finally taught that ancestor the sun breathing technique and handed him those earings he may have wished to be born in that family. This my pov and may not be right. but still i wish it were so...doesnt it make sense that if he were to reincarnate it would be to that family..and that constantly Tanjiro and those earing made Demons fearful of him when he wasnt even a Hashira

I feel the same as you. I think yuroiichi loved sumiyoshi (tanjiro ancestor) and his wife so much he shared his power with them when they both reincarnated as tanjiro and nezuko. like they told yoroiichi: "you saved us and lost everything, now we shall save everyone in your behalf" and so he gave Tanjiro's soul his sun powers and nezuko soul he gave the power to destroy Muzan demon cells forever. And so they're reincarnated with nezuko remembering the red sword of yuroiichi from her past life so without knowing what she's doing she made Tanjiro's sword red with flames using her blood demon art...
