- In this reaction, this is my first time hearing Evanescence's My heart Is Broken. I always love doing Evanescence reactions because Amy Lee always has such an amazing and loving voice. As a fan of nu-metal and as a fan of good musicianship, reacting to Evanescence is always a joy. Call Me When You're Sober is still my favourite song by Evanescence so let's see if this changes things!

I call her a siren she captivate every time she sings.
It’s a really cool song and it usually is well liked among EV fans but I particularly was in awe of other tunes from that album, except ironically the two songs that were chosen as singles.
I’d recommend “lost in paradise”, “the change” or “end of the dream” from that album. May I add that after you praised their drums I wanted to point out that although Will Hunt is Evanescence’s drummer since 2007, it wasn’t until they released this album, their self titled album in 2011 that you can hear Will s contribution to their sound. Personally I think he’s a beast of a drummer but he shines specifically in their latest one, The Bitter Truth.
Also, this song “my heart is broken” was written as an inspiration for women victim of sex trafficking in New York. Amy volunteered with an non profit organisation to help those women and got inspired to write this one.

In studio recordings she uses real pianos. Only live recordings use keyboards (although she has performed live with piano in isolated shows).
