Doge is a lesson in what money is at its core. It the undefinable allure that makes people want something that lies underneath the utility and in turn gives it its utility. It’s easy to forget that most currency’s have art built into them. We just use them so much that the picture of George Washington or the queen almost disappear in the redundancy of encounter. Money comes not from gold or banks but from people. I hope that Cardano can become the person standard instead of the gold standard. There is real agency and intelligence built into it that a dollar bill could never have. But at the end of the day a lot of people really like dogs.
How was he dismissing stuff? Did you even listen to it? What he's questioning if Elon's pursuit of turning DOGE into an competing with other crypto is genuine or not.

@@sushanth262 How can you be so sure? I like it how everyone skips the part where Elon was part of PayPal and other financial startups during the dotcom days...all I said was don't underestimate the guy, he's not your average person given his record
@@covidoff yeah i know because humans arent 100% right and he isnt god for sure no matter what u say. He picked bitcoin intially them switched to doge stating environment Friendly...and now says if bitcoin is environmental friendly then may be. He could have asked that question the first time around if he really understood mining. But he didnt. Plus lots of software engineers dont understand mining either. This is god complex. People of his caliber who have been correct have also been wrong...its usually in areas that arent their expertise

How is Elong going to "outdo him"? Elon knows nothing about crypto... Hes a fool.
I click play first sentence blows my mind for rest of my life😂 that's why I keep coming back
Elon has a super computer named Dojo he might use that for Dogecoin 😏
The car salesman switch to being a solar panel salesman. And people fell for it.
My coin just flipped doge and ADA. 😬 staking not trading.
Elon understands Jungian Archetypes and their relationship to blockchain. Doge is what Carl Jung called theTrickster archetype.
doge is crypto currency that has the real ability to be used as real currency, thats it.. a. doge coin has a controlled inflation rate that is ideal for a currency. what other cryptos have a fixed yearly supply that controls inflation and encourages use at a cheap cost.
Also he still doesn't understand that all money at the fundamental level is just a meme, and has value because we collectively agree it has value. And like it or not doge is a great meme
Elon basically exposed that all crypto is a Ponzi scheme.
All these contracts and partnerships mean nothing. It’s just about where people put their money thinking people will buy higher

He has been regularly for months lol.
I really appreciate Charles taking on Elon and what he said in this clip. I get that Lex can’t criticize Elon because of his own business and network but what Elon did with Doge (unless he actually does something with it, then awesome) was shocking immoral. It felt like a kid building an ant colony only to get board and pour molton mental in the ant colony and keep it as a souvenir.
My friend and I have a hunch that Elon Musk is the main holder of Dogecoin but is holding it for his daughter.
Isn’t the number 1 Doge wallet 26% of all coin Robinhood. So not single whale but everyone’s coins still on the exchange?
No
Every podcast must at least mention Elon/tesla. It's law or somthing
all this guy does is suck off elon, he's like the biggest fanboy ... even copies the way elon talks slow as if he's saying something smart/groundbreaking every sentence. Like get on with it, you're not ruminating each freaking word
Lex is talking like Elon is the only one watching and he so desperately wants to make him proud. Your collective audience is way more important, dude.
Elon has made alot of enemies with his antics. Id still buy the new tesla roadster if I could though.
Why? It tracks your every movement and when the battery is dead its dead lol... Oh and queing up on weekends for the electric charge LOL.
Spot on Charles!

DOGE doesn't need to be ethereum or cardano 3.0 or whatever. What's wrong with a low fee coin that can be used for daily purchases? That's what I like about DOGE, it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, unlike most cryptos.
Lex having absolute on charlatans on…smh I had respect for lex
Great!
Just Mint Doge natives on Cardano
Lex sounds like such an Elon Musk fanboi.
Lex intellectually said I agree to disagree
Cheers to HARMONY $ONE, solid project, building bridges all across the cryptospace, blazing fast with low fees
Charles just doesn't get Dogecoin. It's like trying to explain the function of Art & why it matters to a Scientist.
wow
We need sh*t coin next.💩
I got you
Doge is a lesson in what money is at its core. I think that Hoskins also might have forgotten that most people don’t realize that crypto is more than just dumb numbers in a book or pieces of paper in your pocket. There is real agency and intelligence built into it that a dollar bill could never have. But at the end of the day a lot of people really like dogs.
To the moon!!! #Dogecoin
"the viral nature of fun has power"??? Not fun when the whales sell 90% of their coins and turn yours in dogepoop!
The way he dismisses what Elon has done shows he's not capable of understanding it, or just too defensive.
How was he dismissing stuff? Did you even listen to it? What he's questioning if Elon's pursuit of turning DOGE into an competing with other crypto is genuine or not.
Elen musk
Elon loves to secure victory out of comical or implausible projects. I think it is where he gets his thrill, because he realizes that anybody with mere ambition, secured capital, and drive, can make another cliche company and likely take it to profit.
Nah, Elon needs "The Boring Company", and vehicle models that spell out "S3XY".
SpaceX totally sounds like Space-Sex.
It's from underdog gimmick to profound success.
That is, what I think, Elon wants.
That's part of his challenge/enthusiasm.
HODL 🚀🚀🚀🐶
I lost $1,000 when Elon Musk went on SNL.
A voice in my head told me to sell to be safe but I ignored it in order to "separate emotion".

Not listening to your emotions is multilayered. You should have not listened to your emotions to ignore your emotion.
Sounds like a joke but it’s right.
Or you can hold and possibly make more in a couple of years

7:15 Elon Musk did not start Tesla. He bought majority shares in the company and pushed the founders out. He is little more than a rich sci-fi nerd who thinks he is much smarter than he actually is.
The first part is true, the latter is a terrible take. TERRIBLE take
@@DeathZeroTolerance Why is that? Because you like Elon? The man is a fraud. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. He chose the dumbest joke of a coin to pump because they are all the same to him. It's all a game.

@@BallerDan53 Man. How many companies where adquired for other people just to crash later on? It would be so pretencious to argue that Musk did not have any responsibility for the success of Tesla. I am a mechatronical engineer and I have seen the patents that Tesla had release once they were developing their systems. Man, they are brilliant. And neither of those things would be possible if you lack good leadership or guide for the vision and objectives of a company. I do not fully support Musk in many things, but saying that he is a "fraud" is just ignorant.
@@pedrovelazquez138 Please. Musk's "leadership" and "vision" is to add fart noises to the Tesla for its turn signal. He did not design the car, he just slapped his name on it. He also stole the first one off the line from its actual creator, Martin Eberhard. If it weren't for Elon's devoted cult of followers and his mountains of cash, he would be laughed out of the industry.
