Hi, I am getting a message that the link is broken when I try it. I don’t know if the time has come and gone but it is today Saturday, March 18 that I’m trying the link.
I moisturize my scalp with jojoba oil with rosemary every day, and spray my hair and scalp with aloe gel every day. I take biotin, omega 3, vitamin D, iron and a multivitamin. Hair is growing 👌🏾
Awesome video! October 2022, I have reduced my wash days from 4x to 2x a month. I leave my hair ALONE more. I've increased my trims to every 3 months by a professional stylist. My ends have never been so thick and healthy! 🙌🏾
More Scalp massages, keep up on my trims, deep conditioning, keeping my scalp happy, doing protective styles for 4/6 weeks, wash my scalp every 3 weeks . Less manipulative, right ponytails.
Goal: I'm in the TWA stage w/ low porosity and what works is washing 2x week, deep condition weekly, and DIY scalp treatment 2x week. I also saw my hair stays softer if I wrap silk scarf at night under a satin bonnet. In the morning, I spritz aloe vera/water, a tiny bit of leave-in and curls come to life. This channel really helped me nail down the right "routine" and "products". Hair is soft, curl defined and growing!
I have low porosity hair I spoke to a curly hair stylist she said if you have low porosity hair you need to wash more. I have the same routine as you. ❤ before my hair was dry now it’s much more moisturized and manageable
I’m doing more protein and strengthening treatments for my fine, low porosity hair. I’m just now learning (after all this time), the very thing I was afraid to do for my hair, is the very thing that is helping me to FINALLY retain length AND moisture.
My goal: incorporate oil rinses in my wash day routine!!! My last wash day I realized that i probably should start apply more oil to the length of my hair instead of just the scalp and then not too long after you posted this video. So this was definitely confirmation for that. Thank you!
Thanks for the info about Ritual -- will be checking it out. Actions taking this year: Get back to prepooing regularly, including hot oil treatments and oil rinsing (it's been a long time since I've done that); be consistent; get a good trim; give more TLC to my crown area especially with my DHT blockers; get back to premaking my Ayurvedic masks ahead of time and place in the freezer to save time; scalp massages and use heat more for better saturation (e.g., heating cap, hooded dryer or steamer).
Great info-filled video!! The one thing I’m going to include in my weekly regimen is PROTEIN. No protein masks or anything major. I’m just going to give my hair a light protein boost each wash day. Now that it has grown….I believe my strands need the support for healthy elasticity and strength.
Returning to hair steaming & using the basic ayurvedic herbs that starting the improvement in my hair growth. 3 weeks of basic great products (rosemary, green tea, aloe or fenugreek) & every 4th week add in a booster from my hair arsenal (henna, seaweed, alma etc..)
I am not going to use heat. I just had half of my hair cut off because of heat damage. My hair was almost bra length, and now it is shoulder length. I will be protective styling until I grow my hair back to bar length it was before my haircut
I’ve recently started to message my scalp . I already use clove oil in my hair, but I want to start using okra oil - I’ve heard that it is exceptionally good for natural hair.
I have started detangling with aloe vera before every wash day. Trying to moisturize my hair more often. Oil rinsing is definitely the next thing that i will be incorporating. Thks so much for sharing your knowledge with the world❤
Fresh information. Thank you! Question: Would you recommend oil rinsing before a heat straightening routine? A heat protectant would be used, but the residual oil left after an oil rinse concerns me, and I can only imagine my ends getting golden brown and delicious between my flatiron plates.
Can you still deep condition ? If so, do you apply before or after the oil rinse? By the way thank you so much for your knowledge I’ve learned so much from you and you’ve help save me and my 4 daughters hair! I enjoy your content thank you for helping us! One video at a time ❤
My hair is a good length but I still want a few more inches. I'm going to try oil rinsing. I haven't had my ends trimmed by a professional in seven months. I know, shame on me. I need to find a stylist I can trust.
Thank you so much for this content. I’m going to work on protecting my ends more because evidently the inch I thought was my ends should be at least 2 more inches of hair.
Ok, I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but how do you moisturize your hair? Is that just putting leave in conditioners in? Or spraying water and following up with oil? Maybe you have a video already - I'll look!
I’m currently on a March challenge of massaging every night while wearing mini twist. My hair is high porosity so I LOC with Vaseline 🤩🤩🤩 or grease every night and deep condition weekly. So far I’ve only missed one night. January was weekly Rosemary and garlic rinse (boiling method) and oil rinsing after deep conditioning. I chose a more natural hair products and my hair loves it. So far everything is going well. AND MOST IMPORTANT I stopped air drying my scalp because it was sore and tender aka inflammation. I’ll come out the shower, start mini twist or let it air dry for an hour, and then just hold the blow dryer to my scalp. Yes I’m so serious about my growth this year. I had literally have a calendar at my desk to remind me. Had my hair braided last year and neglected my hair and I had to cut CUT INCHES off. Never again!
Please do you massage every night with an oil? If yes, doesn’t that quickly get greasy? I love massaging my scalp but I can’t stand having to oil it everyday or every other day because after it even gets to my forehead and I overshine lol. Don’t know if it’ll be as effective without an oil
Thank You so much for another great video! 💖😍 Let's see, I'd like to give onion rinses another chance, after the last... Incident 🤣😂 which i will NOT be repeating, haha. Am also planning to make my own flax seed gel again to use as masks and hair gel And to consume more gelatin rich broths! When i finally have floor length hair, I'll let y'all know 💃💁♀️😂💕
Thanks for the lovely knowledge that you impart as usual. For me the thing I plan on doing more for my hair this year is using a store bought deep conditioner instead of my usual diy one's.
🌋Goal: I'm moisturizing my hair consistently this year and protecting my hair properly. 🌲Releasing: I'm not stressing about my tresses or practicing self-consciousness or disappointment with my crown's current fullness, volume, and length. 🧣I have decided to embrace my natural hair growth by supporting the retention of my length with loving nourishment, protective styles, and maintenence trims. I'm further welcoming the abundant fullness of my mane by approaching my haircare with an encouraging attitude: knowing my desired density and each of my hair goals is easily attainable for me, believing that my hair is healthful and radiant, and trusting that my TLC towards my hair manifests my flourishing crown. Much love & luck for each of you along your hair journey!❤ You are amazing, your hair is beautiful, and you're doing it🏞
Thanks! Since going natural, I've been trying to keep my hair from falling out. My goal is to be disciplined with my hair regime using the information from your videos.👍🏾
Hi, I tried oil rinse last night per you description. How long does it take to rinse the oil out of my hair? My hair feels really oily today. Please advise.
I’m going to do less across the board except for shampooing. I will keep the same time frame with that but less with other stuff. Aka, deep conditioning, trimming and styling. I was doing way to much.
hello, please enlighten me. My understanding is that oil it’s not used as a moisture, but more as a sealant. So if I use it as my final rinse in the shower, how does The cream penetrate the oi, when I’m adding my after shower products?
Hey! Great question, doing an oil rinse will not block additional moisture from entering into the cuticle. I recommend trying the rinse and your cream afterwards to see how your hair responds to this method.
I plan to retain length and fuller hair but my fitness routine has changed. I’ve been learning how to swim, so I’m in the pool at least 3 times a week. I asked this question on IG but didn’t see a response yet. Do you have any content related to hair care while swimming? I’m doing my best to protect before and after swim sessions. Using protective styling where I can still access my scalp. Using petroleum based products before I swim and wear my cap. Afterwords, I cleanse with an ACV rinse, shampoo, and apply leave in conditioner with shea butter. Thanks for any additional tips on my journey to swim but maintain good skin and hair
@@eons6086 thank you. I never thought about the oil! Your cap still stays on with that? Or do you add a scarf over it? I’ve never heard of a soul cap but will be googling right now! God bless you for taking the time to help!
When I swam on a regular basis. I would condition my hair pre swim with a cheap silicone conditioner to coat hair before going into chlorine. After swim I would use a chlorine swimmer shampoo and conditioner. Babo every time afterwards to remove chlorine. Then every two weeks I would wash normal. My first wash was a clarifying shampoo then moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner. I just wore hair out, no protective styles when I swam.
Hello All, I hope that this week has been great for everyone. For me, there will be more listening to what my stands are saying and fewer store bought products.
Im changing everything to creating a consistent regimen and utilizing protective styling methods. Im not wure how I fell off but Im going to stick with it and see where it takes me in Aug.
Hiiii :) I just started my natural hair journey 3 months ago, I will be moisturizing my hair more often, it gets dry very fast. Thank you for All the hair tips, they are helping me so much. Have a Blessed weekend.
Hi CC. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I definitely have to do something about hydrating. My hair, and skin, are super dry but I also have think hair so I need something that moisturizes, yet, doesn't weigh down my hair and make it look even thinner! I'm still trying to figure it out 😕
I use traditional West / Central African and African American hair practices for my type 4 crown. The shedding has reduced drastically. Haven't noticed any growth but my hair is always in a low maintenance style.
Happy Friday!!! I plan to be more consistent with my hair care regimen! And less of procrastinating before I need to detangle during the pre-poo. This was awesome! I watched it with my Mom. Hi, I am getting a message that the link is broken when I try it. I don’t know if the time has come and gone but it is today Saturday, March 18 that I’m trying the link.
Hi, is it possible to blow dry hair with grease or is that damaging to the strands? I cant really find science to back it up.
Hi can you answer your Instagram Thank you
Stop trimming off the length you grow.
Goal: Not to stress over my hair. Give it what it needs and let it rest from everyday manipulation.
