    What do you mean by symmetrical and unsymmetrical? is this to do with stereoisomerism and e/z?

      it means that the double bond isn't in the middle

    Hello. In an exam can you say the major product is formed from a more stable carbocation intermediate because the intermediate for it is secondary

      Absolutely but don’t forget to mention it’s stability relative to the other possible carbocation intermediate.
      Markovnikoff’s rule (number of hydrogen atoms) is just a hack to establish the major product quickly. Relative carbocation intermediate stability must always be the explanation

    IF THE SECONDARY ONE IS MORE STABLE, SHOULDN'T LESS OF 2-BROMOPROPANE BE FORMED?
