I don't speak Italian or French but I'm fluid in sarcasm.
Biggest Underdog Monuments Wins:
1. Oliver Zaug 2011 Il Lombardia
2. Hayman Paris Roubaix 2016
3. Gerald Ciolek 2013 Milan San Demo
4. Alberto Bettiol Tour of Flanders 2019
5. Wout Poels Liege Bastogne Liege
An ooold one but walkowiak in the 1956 tour
Jacky Durand in 1992 as well, I think it was the Tour of Flanders
"the former Coke Head" You make me LOL
P.s do a video on Vansummeren winning fresh as a daisy
I laughed as soon as I heard that.
i love this guy's dead pan delivery..."drinking the fast coffee that year"...lol..."if he didn't believe it, who are we to believe it?"
And.."found new super power"
"Who had been given new super powers by Zwift" 😂💯
The narration on this one is one of your best mate. Superb.
cowardly commentary from someone whose only contribution to the sport is that of a yt commentator, you provide no evidence so its just a poor piece of speculation, you don't provide any insights here.
I totally get this channel. I love cycling and from what I gather so does cycling stories. I would rather watch this than the actual race. Keep up the great work.
This channel is always good for chuckles 😁
This channel is a hidden gem. Really funny
literally rode the perfect race, benefitted from favourable circumstances, as well as the fact that he''s had many top 10's in classics, to be featured alongside the other riders on this channel is disgraceful
Well said. Insane to pick an isolated one day victory as 'evidence' of doping. Anyone can have an exceptional day - he was lucky that his exeptional day landed on this race, with these circumstances. A great win.
At 38
With no preparation in cobbles
Breakung away 180 km
With these watts at Carrefour and counterattacking
Beating Boonen in the sprint
With that Face at the end
Give me one day like rhat and we will arrive to 2 million suscribers
@@cyclingstories "no preparation on cobbles"? be honest and tell everyone he had ridden PR Sixteen times, and he's been a PR specialist his whole career!
@@cyclingstories and that he's a really modest guy, maybe that's why he can't believe it, and that I've never heard anyone, besides this channel, asking these questions. But there's always someone
....
@@cyclingstories “no preparaton in cobbles”😭😭he rode pr 16 times😭😭
New heights reached with this one. .. Wlt hear a soundbyte montage 🤣🤣. Thanks for your work.
The way the narrator has written this video it’s funny I am laughing 😂
Love the content, keep it up
Could not have happened to a nicer guy.
I thought his power meter broke at the end? Also the other favorites spent a lot of energy chasing down the break.
Good stuff, underrated format, lovely narration
Too 😁 funny . Love the sarcasm ...brilliant
The full story is a lot more complicated…been in the break probably saved energy as there were not so much fighting for position. Reality is they should have never let Hayman go in the break, none of the select group thought he was a threat until the end and could have easily worked together to eliminate him if they did…final sprint, Boonen was boxed in!
That was a very efficient break. Those bridging blew more energy. His low profile status meant threat underestimate, as is the case for all domestiques who end up in winning positions. He just raced a good race and got lucky. Big frame on the velodrome track meant lots of momentum once up to speed, in a drafting position, also from up high. Considerably lucky. Most of his effort was in a group organized and drafting, right up to the end.
@RollinRat Nah, no artificial elements.
@RollinRat Uh, I was referring to watering down the pave, not doping.
Zwift inspired this doping story. Thank you Zwift.
411 watts for 6 minutes or 387 for 30 mins is not a lot lol
Knock knock knock, it’s Matt Hayman!
It's Australia like Bart Simpson's episode
Have you watched the Orica doc, it's mint
Would you have a link to it please
After watching a stack of your videos I’m wondering which cycling victories you actually believe were clean? We
await a very short video…?
You have mentioned "Fast coffee" in multiple videos and I can't find the term anywhere? Is that some sort of slang for a performance enhancing drug?
It's a latin american expression
Café veloz
Did Tom Boonan do something to you?
I mean the man won Paris Roubaix four times! No one, and I mean no one has won this iconic monument more than he has! His fourth win in 2012 tied him with another one of the greats, Roger De Vlaeminck.
Describing him as a 'Paris Roubaix specialist' and 'the Belgian coke head' without talking about his wins was in bad taste... Not to mention disrespectful.
Where does the apparent animosity come from?
Maybe you admire people who loves drugs and give to your Kids that advice "Kids, you must taking cocaine in the future"
Truth hurts.
He mentioned Boonan's 100 wins including seven monuments.
The "FORMER Belgian cokehead". Get your quotes right and then think about drugs and sportsmen of a generation leading society by example. The Irish guy deserves to put a little snark here at least, eh.
Amazing vid
It was an amazing race... that's the only thing I care about
Where is the evidence?
“Only 13 days of competition…” meant far less wear and tear and depletion. He was fresh. Such a low ranking rider getting juiced was unlikely due to the risk/benefit ratio. Large frame meant less energy over the cobbles. Chaos behind meant pack attrition.
Yes, so fresh that he could rode 180 km at front
So Zwift turns you into a monster? me thinks it's a little sus no?
Zwift, the New epo
@@coreplay5251 It was definitely the Zwift that turned him into Lance 2.0 of course!
Spit it out what's your point, the rest of the group did the same or better numbers.
you don't know what this channel is about?
The rest of the group wasn't 180 km full gas.
They caught Hayman after Arenberg and went more comfortable that him
@@cliffcox7643 of Course I do, I've raced (UK club level) and followed every major race for 40 years. just looking for facts.
@@jamesmc1272 I see.. But, in articles, one of the signs of dopers is years of being a non winner, then suddenly you're at the front. Not saying that's what's happening, but it's one of the clear signals that something's up.
@@cliffcox7643 older than bjarne riis.
What's the point of this video? You're portraying him based on no evidence that he's a doper by focusing on using vague association with known dopers and clever use of suggestive words. Excellent clickbate, you got me, however I'd prefer to view Matt's ride was brilliant and based on 15 years of attending and career focus.
In Paris Roubaix it's also very common for breakaway riders to content for the win and those power numbers are not ridiculous for a 80kg professional so perhaps you should do a bit more research before making such a negative, shallow video.
Of course, every year cyclists of 38 years attack in a Monument at 180 km and winning making those numbers! It's not ridiculous! It's NORMAL!
@@cyclingstories I'm glad you agree. Hopefully you'll avoid publishing defamatory media from now on.
@@jinx547 I sense a hint of sarcasm in his response to you
He's was sooo high on doping!
Fast coffee
A pretty entertaining CS . Dripping with cynicism and selective content, but missing some key points on why Hayman was able to win. CS, how have you not been sued? Oh yeah, because the more recent cheats would have to prove their innocence first, of course.
Damn! Mat Hayman too??
Amazing teeth
Zwift was made a legend that day.
L video
Lmao yea zwift 😉 helped him win aka doping. What a sad existence
