Best part about him is he doesn't just speak. If theres somebody hurting at a speech he's giving he will take time to talk to them and even stay in touch after and help them get help. I saw it in action before

    Chris changed my life.
I watched Unguarded a Dozen Times and read his book.
I had my 3 Sons watch at 14, 12 and 11 yrs old watch it and I talk to them all the time about Drugs an alcohol. It is a Dead end.
Kids never think it will be them.
My sister died at 37 who had a masters degree but could never hold a Job. From pills to Cocaine to Heroin. My Parents are a Mess over it. It ruined them for life.
I didn’t start until my mid 30’s Never got into into drugs in High-school or years after bc my father talked to me all the time.
A back surgery led to a 14 yr addiction to drugs and alcohol and after seeing Unguarded.
I am the Man my Wife Married bc I was out of control and literally Dying !
Kids. Anyone offers u anything, walk away and stay away from them. Their not friends and will end up respecting U for it.
    Believe Me !
    Peace !!!

This dude is my idol. 2 1/2 years clean off all mind altering substances. Spent the vast majority of my 20s stealing from family, lying to everybody and becoming a shell of my former self specifically so I could inject heroin. That was my life. Everyday. Wake up , scrape together 20 bucks and pray to god I could get a ride to the plug somehow.
    What a miserable existence.
Even overdosed with my daughter with me. Today I have 50/50 custody of my 7 year old and I’m expecting a set of twins in October 2023. God is good.

Better yet, he is a greater person talking to millions around the country about his struggles with addiction and all of the misfurtunes he endured personally and professionally. GOD bless you Chris and thank you for your work, bringing awareness and prevention techniques to help many obstain from alcoholism and drug use.

That Fresno State team was so loaded-Melvin Ely Courtney Alexander, Skip-T0-My-Lou, Tremaine Folks, Chris Herron. It was like UNLV West. I remember Chris Herron stealing the ball and coming down on the break against Hawaii, in Honolulu. He went up so high, cupped it , and slammed it on our shooting guard Alika Smith. Then he checked if Alika was alright and helped him up.. Right then, I knew that this guy was going pro. He had that toughness. He was great! Too bad he carried around all that shit (addiction). Seems like his life would make a great movie. Then again, he might relapse. Ugh!!!!

my cuz just died a few weeks ago from a heroin overdose.. he started shooting up when he was 14 in b-more county.. finally caught up too him at age 35.. he did 16 months in prison and was out for 2 months... this new shit kills you.. its not just heroin anymore but extremely strong tranquilizers that take you out. his autopsy came back and the list of diseases where ridiculous (hep C, heb B, HIV, etc) his suffering is finally over and its was the only funeral i ever went to that i almost felt relief for the dead. the scary thing is that he looks like me. i love drinking, and im not gunna lie and say i dont think cocaine is a hell of a drug,, but heroin and opiates SCARE THE FUCK OUT OF ME.. this type of shit right here is why i will never try it.. this is a lucky guy right here for now, but i have a horrible feeling that drugs will take him, and i think he knows too..
