Thanks for sharing this but what’s the benefit of using this rather than a wemos D1 mini with a relay hat to do the same? Possibly with something like Tasmota. Wemos would be only 1/4 of the price. Cheers

Why would you use a Raspberry Pi instead of NodeMcu? It is simple I need a board that is more powerful but smaller than pi.
It has lot more ADC GPIOs, I can also run more complex programs and code. I can run more than one program at a time. Connect USB camera and stream live video. etc. It is a small Linux machine.

What ESP8266 software have you found that works reliably with Alexa? Ever since Amazon introduced the 2nd gen Dots, using DIY devices has been a problem for anything that doesn't require a skill *and* adding 3rd-party service that does the actual interfacing to them. And, even then, discovery has been a crapshoot with the ones I've tried.
It's like we've regressed to the 1980s, when every manufacturer had their own proprietary diskette format and filesystem structure, so you needed special tools to get data from one computer to another. We need standards so things don't break if you add a Google-based smart speaker or latest Echo Dot to your Alexa-based home, or, even worse, if your Echo gets an automatic firmware upgrade while you're sleeping.

I agree with you Amazon keeps changing its API and it keeps breaking the code.
      Good Luck.

Can you create a detailed wifi speaker player based on smart 7688? The official teaching abbreviation is too simple to learn

ESP32 is better than Linkit smart 7688 Duo? But not better than 7697?

Alex Rødriguez Can you elaborate on it. Why you think ESP32 is better than 7697. I use both and it depends on your project requirements and your personal preference which one you like for a specific application.

@@netmedias7657 well I'm new in this topic, so I'm just basing on the clock speed, could you tell me an action that these 3 Devices can execute with best Performance? Like camara processing, IoT
