People sometimes forget that Kingdom is a weekly manga and has been serialized since mid 2000s It's 60+ volunes already Those manga that have consistent very good art are rare and most of them are bi weekly or monthly or even more Sometimes some manga have its own artist and and its own author (like One Punch Man) But That's rare in manga industry Edit:also it's posiblle he redraw some of these panels that people complain about for the volume release
Evolution of Kingdom is great exemple of the life of mangaka!. what i mean that early Kingdom just amazing the detail angle of the shot battle just epic! then when we move we see Hara start cut thing and try simple easy way of drawing! doesn't mean bad ! to the coalition it always peak art but for me after it is not the same. It is more 700 chaptre and i can see how age satrt affect Hara art. Last few chaptre he draw Kyoukai like Ten years old!
Yeah I actually can see that too I feel like the art went down a bit while he was publishing the Zhao invasion. I think that arc was really hard on him.
Honestly, I never really even noticed how samey-samey the "generic generals" are. youre absolutely right they're repetitive as hell, but I'm willing to argue that it's because they're so basic that they serve their purpose well: Act as a low-importance character that can probably be easily replaced by another one. Naturally, there's some points where it won't work well, such as with Lu Wuwei (Roku O Mi I think is his Japanese-ified name? The really angry Wang Yi / Ou Ki general) and Bi (Heki) looking super generic when they're fully outfitted, and I'd love to see their designs get fleshed out more beyond their standard general attire.
My biggest criticsm on the art are the limbs of characters, in particular the arms. I get that sometimes it purposely exagerates the muscles, but in order to make it more consistent he draws all the arms like tubes, which looks bad almost on every character, in particular Shin imo. Otherwise the art looks brilliant.
I think it's a problem of anatomy honestly. The musculature on arms and such he definitely could work on making more realistic, but it all fits with his art style I think.

@@Ace_D he shouldn't do long arc anymore special when it is not that big battle
I definitely agree
First serialized work?
Considering how long it'll be at the end it might be his last

I don't really like how he draw Shin lately, his eyes and eyebrows are too skinny to me it looks a bit weird
Art style is still goated
