  • Answering question about how to build/convert Vw Golf, Jetta, Corrado to AWD (4Motion, Quattro) by looking at the difference between a fwd and a awd Jetta mk2. Most, if not all of this will also apply to Golf and Corrado.

Hello! Will the mk3 syncro subframe just bolt on? Or the mk4, or does it need a lot of mount welding and fabrication like it does on the mk1?

The Mk3 Syncro subframe will bolt on. But not the Mk4. The Mk4 will require a lot of fabrication

@@Gateslicks i'm sorry to bother you like this, but what about the ECU situation on a 4motion swap? Can i just use a normal 1.8T ecu or is there a specific ECU to use in the 4motion case?
