Just discovered that Bricklink Studio is a thing yesterday, so I watched this for a quick little tutorial. I used to spend hours and hours playing around on Lego Digital Designer as a kid, wishing I could one day afford to buy what I designed for real. Now I can once again spend hours playing around on a Lego CAD software, wishing I can one day afford to really buy my models!

I'm making a custom set for my little brother and the instructions need to be pretty specific, but I'm really bad at that part. Can someone please explain it to me in a simple way? All of the tutorials are complicated and sped up.

Yes, you do! Once you go to the parts section, navigate down to the "buildable figures" tab and click "bionicle." this will give you the extensive parts library from the LEGO bionicle series.
I do fll (First lego league) so i had to use a program to make a robot, and i used a amazing program ( cant remember which) then some team told us about studio 2.0. god i hate it.

On my studio, the build plate with the studs has disappeared. Whenever I create a new model it’s just not there and I have to place stuff in random places. Do you know how to fix this?

This is probably a dumb question but where is the save button? I just save by clicking the button when the prompt comes up after I close the window. I know its kinda risky so I'm curious how to do it normally.

5:40 all that's doing is turning off depth perception. So perspective doesn't change parallel lines seeming unparallel if you know what I mean? I spent too much time in Blender my brain is melting

great videos but dude, you change the volume of your voice way too much, at times almost mumbling so that we can barely hear you, then you almost shout a word or two. Even out your volume more. Keep up the great work.
Was right at the end of a build then accidentally moved the very beginning piece out of place. Couldn’t get it back in so bad to completely start again. No undo buttons or anything which is just stupid.

Select items that you want in the group, right click and choose create sub model. This will add all the parts you have selected to a group. (They call groups submodels) To edit parts in a group, double click. To exit a group when editing Click on a free space in your view box where there are no pieces.
