Movies like this should inspire young cinematographers everywhere. I'm serious. If any of you up-and-coming auteurs question whether you're good enough to make a movie, just get into Rifftrax for a few weeks. Stuff like this will have you feeling like you could ask Orson Welles to get you your coffee.
For real, been living on the MST3k stream. I just wish they'd put more into the rotation. Or at least keep it from playing the same handful of episodes every day or so. Seems like every day, there's a couple eps that they played the day before. I feel like I've seen Space Mutiny and Mitchell at least 4 times now.
@@fistymcbuttpuncher6419 yeah I noticing that now too. It's cool to see the odd episode from Cinematic Titanic as well but there is definitely a lot of repetition happening.
28:11 "It doesn't matter where they're going, they parked in a HORRIBLE place". I couldn't stop laughing at the common sense behind that sarcasm. Mike makes me cry laughing!
Haha classic..? Sure. It may be the early days of consumer made content but it's an absolute dumpster fire, like Rich Evans said, something you make over a summer then toss in a drawer and never watch again, without rifftrax it's unbearable, this isn't a Miami connection or samurai cop haha
Ah yes, Feeders. A true Plutonium Bros timeless Pennsylvania filmed cinema classic. Also, all you people over at the RiffTrax Headquarters, located in the old bean factory, are really spoiling us with these free riffs.✌❤📼
They went and dug up the time capsule with feeders Rich Evans buried haha. Honestly though 2 isnt nearly as garbage as this. While Jay is right it's a relic of early homemade content it's still godawful haha, only watchable with rifftrax. (I'm just assuming there's a massive overlap of RLM/rifftrax fans haha)
Damn it all! I’ve said this for years and years now. It takes me at least twice as long as the actual video to finish it because I have to keep looking up their references. I’m six minutes in and it’s been twenty in real life because I went down a rabbit hole about Mark Gormley and Kent Tekulve. Job well done, gentlemen.
Finally, the one and only classic featuring paper mache aliens that sound like an asthmatic grandmother is a free watch on UA-cam. Thank you, Rifftrax! And to you, the Polonia Brothers, for providing us such laughably amateurish gems like this one.
Watching this for the second time. First time somehow skipped 20 minutes but never knew the difference... Thanks for the upload. Gonna buy this so I can support Rifftrax.
The soundtrack and the very extra-special effects are very reminiscent of games that I played on my Commodore Amiga computer back in the 90's. Some of the music could have been lifted from the Amiga version of the game "It Came From the Desert"
This movie makes me think that everyone involved was frozen in time for a decade. They exited the cryogenic chamber and immediately continued the bad 80s movie they were putting together. This is the only explanation.
I think I'm having a mental breakdown here. I just...I just don't understand how it's possible to make a film this bad. I mean, at a certain point, you have to cross over from incompetence, to downright evil. I've seen popsicle sticks that were less wooden than these actors and boogers from my nose that were more animated than these aliens.
One thing that stands out to me in this movie is how Michelle, the cute girl from the gas station, has the honor of not only surviving the film but gets to kill 2 of the aliens in a somewhat cool way. That just screams to me that one of the Polonia brothers was either dating her actress or really wanted too and so they gave that character the most dignified showing in the whole film.
It wasn't there for long, some incidents happened where people rented this because of it being released around independence day and so many people returned it blockbuster refused to carry independently made movies 📼
I get the feeling the Polonia Brothers made this based on a dare after they watched the entire Don Dohler film library. "Hey, Don Dohler made Alien Factor for $3500! We can make 40 movies for that much money!" This one took several prizes at Cannes, right?
Though sadly the Brothers' films never quite reach the cinematic peak of the love scene with Perm-Cop and Frumpy Mom-Deputy in Nightbeast. Alas, c'est la guerre.
I have a feeling they started off with NIL, but then previewed the first day footage to friends and they supported, the second half is actually quite crazy!
I like how they're just allowed to leave the "hospital" after hitting a guy. You'd the police would want to question them first, even if it was an accident.
Most movies cut from getting into car to place where plot picks up, so refreshing to see the 30 minutes in between that time, especially when they drive 15 miles per hour to get there.
Does anyone else actually envy the people that make terrible movies like this? I've actually got a small amount of experience in film making and it's often a teeth gnashing drawn out frustration fest you've got to really want to get through and finish. Imagine having terrible taste and ideas but still being passionate enough to see the project through to it's awful final product.
When moustache boy said, "It's gonna be getting dark soon," I was hoping that, no matter what was said in return, one of the riffers would talk over his next line with, "It'll be dark soon." I guess the "Valley Lodge" reference from earlier was considered enough, but I know I would have loved it! Also, about three seconds before they said it, I was thinking, "No-moustache boy sure reminds me of Parker Stevenson!"
All things considered, this movie's got an honestly fun-sounding score; something about it gives me some Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibes, which I dig. A shame it's attached to this movie.
Why does every bad filmmaker seem to think people need to see cars being parked and pulled out of parking spaces? Like we'll assume they just ditched the car if they change location and we don't see them getting in and out of the car.
Because truly unimaginative film directors don't have much to work with, so they tend to pad out their awful movies with half an hour of filler, like driving sequences and shots of random bogs and trees.
I'll never forget running to my local gas station for milk and seeing this DVD by the cashier and buying it... Growing up I didn't think anything could be worse than mst3k films like hobgoblins or manos but I was wrong. 👽

@ProfessorWeekend no way, this movie is way less embarrassing than AVGN's.
