Words can’t describe how much I love LOG and this song especially. So there is actually a live version of this song that is beyond incredible. The fact that they are better live than the studio recording goes to show just how talented a band is. Lamb of God is true Pure American Metal. 🤘🏻💜🤘🏻

Loved your analogy about the Ferryman, Charon (Kharon) to cross the rivers Acheron and Styx in order to reach the underworld. The lyric, "Only after the last tree is cut and the last river, poisoned. Only after the last fish is caught, will you find that money cannot be eaten", is paraphrased from a Native American Proverb. I believe it was a Chief of the Cree Nation who was responsible for the initial quote. This is one of my absolute favorite songs, from any genre. Thank you for taking the time to listen, analyze and appreciate this nasty little morsel of brutal American METAL!!

This is my favorite LOG song personally, the emotion and rawness of the song is what gets me. It really paints a picture in your head of being at the coast hearing the waves/life go on but you're seeing the whole world crumble, the sky opening up, everything on fire and seeing the world end. But then you're back to silence just hearing the waves, because like you said life goes on.
