Yes, When I called the FBI in 2014 to share about abuse I was suffering...and about how I had been trafficked. And about abuse and corruption in law enforcement in my lical community.After several calls they listened to my story, and I actually heard laughing in the background and at the end of the call was the "is that all?"
That’s horrible, if you go into a state police station and tell them you want to report a crime they should have you make a statement and then they would investigate or question the person or people… always document things and date them and tell someone you can trust…. more evidence the better. It is always good to read up on law and the amendments lots of information and wishing you well

The FBI needs to investigate just how many people similar to you had called them and just who was on the other side of the phone. I think this is a systemic issue: there are literally rapists and pedophiles and enablers up in the ranks of the FBI.

It is as I have said so many times before, sexual abuse is just not a priority and women who complain are not taken seriously. There is no protection for women in society or the judicial system. If the FBI does nothing to help you, who can you turn to?

Your kidding right? The judicial system typically favors the women. Remember mattress girl, duke lacrosse team scandal, Twawana Bradley, Brett Kavanaugh case, the list goes on. Rape accusations have always been taken seriously even when the women were clearly lying as all of these were national cases. This is clearly a tragedy and the FBI dropped the ball big time but rape cases are often taken seriously even the fraudulent ones.
@@shawnboahene5231 I think it is you who is kidding! Rapists receive a slap on the back as far as prison is concerned and are made to feel that the rape was their fault. Even pedophiles who commit crimes against children don't get serious prison time. Those who make false accusations should be imprisoned too, but those who have actually been CONVICTED don't do enough time to fit the crime. That is a fact and they are soon released to rape again.

Ally Raiseman still actively works with law-makers across the US trying to get new legislation out in place for better protections for victims. She released a documentary about it this year or last year. She's also said that sometimes she just needs to take a step back from constantly talking about it in the public eye because it's exhausting & not mentally healthy to be doing so. Simone Biles has also continued to speak out against the abuse & publicly, repeatedly says that one of the huge reasons she still is competing in gymnastics is because she's the only one left from the Nassar era & she wants to keep the spotlight on the scandal & keep it in Americans minds so that USA gymnast are continued to be forced to change more & more of their practices. She also says she feels she has a duty to protect the younger girls coming up. McKayla Maroney was one of the worst abused & has stated that she just needs to step away from it all for her own mental health. Rachel Denholler, one of the original athletes to report Nassar is a lawyer today & she is still constantly doing everything she can to told MSU & USA gymnastics to account as well as doing op-eds & speaking engagements. There's also a huge movement going on at MSU right now where the survivors, not all the famous ones, but regular students, are battling MSU to force them to turn over their files on Nassar. And I personally know many of his victims, some of whom prefer to not be public figures for their mental health. But some of them have started charities or students groups on campus or have gone into careers where they can become victim advocates and are still working very very hard to reform both MSU & USA gymnastics to make it safer for the next generation of women & have given many many interviews over the past two years. So just because you're not seeing it doesn't mean that they've been silenced. Many have stepped back to protect their mental health & to try to move forward with their lives. & Many others continue the fight daily but if you're not a local or involved in those communities you're just not seeing it. Believe me though, the latest struggle to get files from MSU has been headline news in Michigan all week, and his victims/survivors have been far from quiet on the matter! There were over 500+ of them that signed at his court case as a victim of his & reclaimed their power. After an experience like that, confronting their abuser in front of the entire nation, taking on MSU & the FBI (who helped cover up the abuse)& USA gymnastics, plus knowing that you have an army of people behind you giving you strength & support...they will NEVER be silenced again.

I reported my abuse to the police and they didn't bother to investigate later I got back all the documents from the criminal injuries Compensation Board and discovered the police had written that they didn't bother to investigate cuz they felt I was being vindictive. There really needs to be some changes in regards to how officers of the law view abuse! Survivors come forward all that happens is they get really abused by the systemic system! Which furthers the complex trauma they suffer!!!

This reminds me of a doctor that I first saw when we moved to Utah. I was sick and my mom had to find a quick doctor and over time I started getting sicker. My dad was strong and made it clear that my mom was to never allow them to take me back alone. The doctor was making young girls sick so they had to keep coming back. He also was charged with sexually assaulting some of his patients. My parents sued and he lost his license and was put away for a long time. I was not among the girls abused because he was never allowed to see me alone.
Such a horrible thing he is, how was he making them sick if you can say, he is we’re he belongs

It really makes me angry and breaks my heart that this blsht happened to those young ladies and it has always been concerning for me that grown men(whether they’re predators or not) being around young underage girls alone in that type of manner. My niece is graduating high school is on her way to college now but I refuse to let her go to gymnastics because I didn’t trust her instructor he was just very strange to me. Come to find out he actually got caught with child pornography. I really wanted to get my hands on him before law enforcement did and this is a perfect example that we should protect our children to the fullest extent and this is why we need more death penalty cases and United States of America possibly vigilante justice is really makes me sick

I completely understand your anger. I have worked with children who have been the subject of sexual abuse for over forty years. I’ve seen the pain and damage caused at first hand. There is no one braver than someone who lives with these memories everyday of their life. But the best way we can protect our children is to try as hard as we can and stay calm, and devise logical and methodical strategies to protect and respond. These laws, policies and procedures need to include clarity about who does what, where, when and how, across all agencies. It also needs to include the consequences for those who breach these vital aspects to the protection of children and young people. This man is evil, made worse by those who obviously couldn’t believe he could possibly do such a thing. My thoughts and love goes out to all survivors of his abuse, and survivors everywhere.
