This is a cool new approach. Usually remixes of this are Genesis remixes reimagined in a sort of a hard rock style.
This proves that Genesis not only can just be a HARDING ROCK N ROLL!!! but also has a Grooving, Funking, and chill style too

I *adore* the take on this track, I love it!! Departure was set to be used in Sonic Thrash, but IIRC the hack wasn't finished. It DID appear in Sonic Boom though, which had the same music artist, amphobius!
Also, not requesting Esperanto. I'm more a Straight Ahead or Holy Land kinda guy.

@@SaturnsRing98 Mildness is certainly not as ambitious as Sonic Boom (funnily enough, the Departure arrangement from Mildness is a derivative of Boom's version), but it's alright. It's got a couple original bosses by vladikcomper, decent level design and graphics. Mildness's soundtrack is a highlight, it's full of good SMPS renditions of various tunes ranging from Mega Man music to Nyan Cat :P I think it's a good hack overall
@@zakkuth7447 I've played that ROM hack many a time just for the soundtrack, and it's so good! Good hack, banger soundtrack except for that one bug where the audio gets stuck in a level for the entire game. For example, Sandy Palace Zone-Act 3 when the game lags super hard and the sound driver has a stroke by getting stuck at that zone theme for the rest of the game. No sound effects, just that one tune.

And just like that I'm a kid again imagining all the constant fighting Zero did between 1 and 2, where he got the scarf / poncho, the individuals he helped on his aimless wanderings through a wasteland trying to find memories of a world, a world that has itself forgotten both him and what it used to be.

EDIT: Esperanto would be awesome, but Megaman ZX has some pretty good tracks that could use more attention. In particular, Mountain Rider (Area B), Wonder Panorama (Area F), Industrialism (Area E), Gauntlet (Area L), and Snake Eyes (final stage) are very overlooked. MMZXA wasn't as good a game as MMZX, but In The Wind (Floating Ruins) was a standout theme from that game too.
I know it's been remixed a lot, but I wanna hear their take on Cannon Ball too.
I liked advent more, tbh. I think Destiny, through the lighting, and bullet drive would also be great choices.

This is probably the best cover of departure out there! Like…all the others go for heavy guitar but going for a bright synth just gets the mood of the piece so much better across. Love it!
