Happy Birthday, Zac! Tiff you are so good at this! When you showed the "caps" on top of the mounds it reminded me of finding Sanddollars on the Beach after a big storm. The wind blew the sand out from under the shells and they were sitting on top of little mounds. [I collected enough that day for a small Christmas tree. My children and I painted them with fluorescent paints and designs. We did not string lights on the tree. The tree sat on the sun porch and collected light all day. It glowed all night!] Hmm, that's a good idea for my camper at Christmas!
It is like Christmas, i go to my subscriptions and its like yippee the little blue dot by your icon...then i see all the gorgeous things that you share..thank you so much .
I would never judge you guys, nor should anyone else! I actually envy you! You are doing more in your young adventurous lives than most do in their entire lives.
Great video. You've created a beautiful home on wheels. It's so cool that you're able to boondock for a couple weeks in such a gloriously beautiful place. Thank you for respecting the wonders of the Badlands, and sharing some of them with us. Cheers to sharing daily life joys & wonders!
Love your Channel you guys look like you really enjoy your travels. Your editing and picture taking is superb. And Tiff is just about as cute as a bug's ear. Keep up the great content and safe and happy travels.
It's fun to watch your travels you are very good at making an adventure out of every place you go and that's what it's all about right, so thank you for sharing your adventure with us. keep the content coming I'm on board with going down that road with you. And your videos are great Zac better watch out you are just as talented as he is. thanks guy, Happy trails
I think Frankie just wanted to speak in the video too. Great job on the editing, Tiff. Looks like both of you are amazing editors. I noticed you could see the way the bus was moving from the wind outside, while Zac was talking. Rad. Thanks for sharing your time.
Tiff, you are beautiful and talented - I’m looking forward to your editing style! You both work so well together it is just fun watching you interact. Great photos as usual - wild to see snow in the badlands this time of year!
You should get a handheld gps or at least get a compass cause getting lost in the middle of nowhere can be hazardous. I know you have radios but still land nav is a worthwhile skill if you hike by yourself, and it isn't hard really especially with UA-cam. You could even make a video about it. I recommend Garmen ( if i spelled it right), i would get one with free map updates too. That bacon looked really good, mmmm bacon. Nice vid of the full moon too. Good vid.
OMG! Frankie is SPOILED rotten lol sleeping on the shelf next to her mommy. Snowing wth it is almost summer, what elevation are you at? Amazing some place so desolate can still be so beautiful. Amazing petrified logs just sticking out of the very earth that it fell on, I used to have a large piece in the garden that had shells and other things the tree fell on fossilized in what was the mud it fell in, could study that for hours as a kid. Thanks for sharing another slice of life with the rest of us. Mike from Texas,Take Memories.Leave Footprints.
Hey Happy birthday! Enjoy that Bacon! You guys to great job with photography, editing music, thanks again for sharing your journey! God bless! Have fun!
You're really close to the source of all that is wonderful, namely Hatch green chili!!!!!! It's so good on bacon cheeseburgers, pizza, Chinese food, Cheerios, toast, and your tongues! 🤔😊 Love your camera work, glad you're still enjoying New Mexico. Wish I was there.... Thanks for the great logs you two!!
Another awesome video thank you for sharing that with me. That's a nice place to be for 2 weeks that's for sure. You guys stay safe have a great day I will talk to you in the next one.
SO excellent!!! I am living my life vicariously through your travels! I'm 57 and have traveled a lot around the US when I was younger, but not in that region and not "up close and personal" like you can boondocking! Thanks for sharing your videos, it means a lot to people like me that most likely will not see the areas of the US that are SO beautiful!!
Thank you for demonstrating two weeks. Rainwater collect, hunting, foam-board big chest fridge, rocket stove (twigs/branches) cooking-heating are my thoughts to extend.
Always amazing videos you two!. Wow, a snowstorm in the badlands desert. Well here in 60107 Illinois, we are being rained on to death and tornados popping up all in the outer states.
Love y’alls videos. 👍😎❤️🚌 we have our Skoolie now it’s a 1994 GMC Bluebird dog nose 3/4 length (thank you Dean) I drove it from Salt Lake City to Birmingham over 4 days n about 2000 miles alone. The trip was fun but too fast and I was exhausted. Love your advice and sharing your adventures. WDE!!!
But i love the videos you guys are making. You both have inspired me to start saving up to purchase and start my own build. You both are amazing people and I look forward to your next video
Great videos, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I wonder on whether you can somehow collect and use water from the rivers or lakes you are camping by?
At first it was tempting to analyze the caloric content of two hours of Subaru gasoline consumption vs. that of firewood to determine if the trip to town made energy sense. (Actually, the idea of buying firewood itself is a little off-putting to us in the Black Hills.) Then, of course, it became apparent that the real purpose of the trip was because you wanted to take a ride, see “civilization,” and get Chinese food. It’s great to follow intelligent, attractive, adventurous youngsters as you discover the world for yourselves.
Good seeing you guys again , Always remember This is coming from an old chef A good Or even A not so great Chinese food meal 🥢🥠Will make the worst day the best 👍Beautiful landscape So with that Stay safe stay strong stay healthy 🎅🤙🚍🚌.
Just stay away from the ones stamped with MB (methyl bromide) especially or that are painted. The ones that are stamped with HT (heat treated) are generally safest.
@@erdiaz13 Yea, that too! A battery powered circular saw will come in handy also! No de-nailing required. Cut them up where you got them so you can fill your trunk.
What's the wheel base on Diane? Just curious. Our bus wheel base is a shade over 20 ft and I can't help noticing that now after driving it around, backing up, taking corners. Your bus looks "easier" to maneuver..
good job.i love the vids that are not pretentious.i dont want imax on my laptop,i want video.i dont want tv on my lap top.i have one and i dont watch it.so you do your nice clean straight forward editing and i will watch
Thank you!! We usually hike with a Delorme Inreach GPS. In this case, we knew which way was west to get back to the bus, just had to get out of the formations first.
What a cool area and fun video; thank you for sharing! We have a really good little Chinese food place here and they serve the most amazing.... cheeseburgers!!! heehee! My online friends tease me about 'Chinese cheeseburgers' but I know they are just jealous. 😊
When you get a chance as you depart the area , could you toss out the name of the Chinese restaurant you enjoyed so others shooting through New Mexico can eat something other than green chili cheese burgers (as yummy as they are).
You two are hilarious! Look the Chinese food bloops. Had it been a while since you had Chinese food? Heheh We get like that too when we travel. Like when we found Shawarma in Guayaquil Ecuador, OMG we went SOoo many times! Really love this video! Great job editing! Tiff, you were so brave to go out into the badlands solo with no path. Did you drop a pin on the van, so you could find your way back? (I am such a chicken - Erin) I think I would do it, but I would take make sure I had our location pinned haha. It's so nice to see how positive you guys are about weather shifting, because you have so much time in one spot. We are like that too. A rainy day doesn't get us down, cuz we have all the time in the world. How long did you end up lasting in that spot? Love all the info you give about water & power! Thanks so much! We can't wait to do this #buslife thang! Adventure On Beauties! - Erin + Brian too!
Y'all like your chinese food. Glad you enjoyed NM! I've ventured in a lot of those spots. Crazy cool country! You two got any plans for skooliepalooza next year? -James from Durango, Co
OK um my I offer a suggestion. If you can't find wood and you can't find your pressed logs that you like.. Wood pellets are fantastic in small wood stoves.. They They burn longer and put out great heat.. And they're easy to start by just using hand sanitizer gel.. Of course they have gel that you can put on wood pellets you can buy commercially but it's expensive At home depot Lows and Walmart I think but it's like 799 a bottle for about 8 oz. and hand sanitizers r a buck at the Dollar Tree store.. They work great In the cub and grizzly stoves they also work great in the tiny tot stove which is what I have I have finally Convinced my friends who do ice fishing in their ice shanties and they love them.. More efficient the ash is A lesser amount.. I know can find wood pellets everywhere Walmart's tractor supply Blains lowes menards any hardware store pretty much carries them any more.. And the plus side is a don't cost more than $4 a 40# bag and lasts alot longer than a small bundle of logs.. Oh and easy to store a lot less mess and don't have to worry about bugs.. I store mine in A small covered steel trash can.. But you could also store them in an 18 gallon Rubbermaid tote.. Add a dog food scoop is the perfect size For scooping the right amount to put in your wood stove
Tiffany, If you don't have time or just don't want to I truly understand! But you guys are so smart is there any way I can get you to look at my Etsy shop see what I need to do to make it better? I don't have a problem making my pieces no problem it's the book smarts I don't have! I don't understand it!
How do you find boondocking spots that are suitable for such a big vehicle? I’m struggling between a bus the size of yours, or a mini bus. I really enjoy having a small vehicle so I can bust u-turns and go anywhere, but I was curious about your experience with a bigger rig??
You guys are great! Keep the adventures comin!
