    I love the bracelet . I didn't have tilas but I had plenty of half tilas. I put a half tila, a 15, a different color half tila and treated them like one bead. It worked beautifully ! I believe that was because your design was so good. Thank you. This was fun!

    I can hardly wait for the necklace too. You should try to combine the style beads from the earrings & the braclet, like the tila w/ the seed beads. I love seeing what you create. I still have to accomplish a couple of the pieces, but I'm working on getting my skills honed.

    Hello Stephanie, I just subscribed to your channel after watching the spring fling earrings. I love these designs. You definitely have a talent with selecting your colors. I have attempted to do the earrings. First time turned out pretty good. Practice makes perfect. I just wanted to say keep up the great tutorials. The way you explain and the patience in your voice is very inviting and soothing. Great therapy. Thank you!

      Is there a listing somewhere of the videos in order?? Especially if each video builds on the previous ones. I made a Peyote Stitch bracelet, which I guess you could call a sampler. I added other colors, learned a decrease and attached a clasp. Last night I cut it apart and salvaged the beads. Now I am ready to try something for real. I also watched your video on the earring (above) and want to try those after the bracelet. Your videos give me enough confidence to try it. Thank you!

    G'Day Chris! Your tila choices sound lovely and I wish I was with you for coffee and cake and a little beading! That's my perfect day.
    I don't think it matters what brand seed bead you use as long as you stay with one brand. Tohos are fine, I just happen to have more Miyukis. Using a larger bead and loop for a clasp looks pretty and won't come off as long as you don't make your loop too big. I use this ending often because I love the look. If you give it a try let me know what you think. I think it's great that you are designing your bracelet the way you would like it! So creative!

      Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry What is the definition of Paradise - a large group of beading addicts living in the same street, beading, drinking mugs of coffee and eating wicked little cakes from sunrise to sunset. I don't think that much beading would be going on as I feel that the laughter and talking taking place would take up our time. One can only dream !!!!!!!! Chris.

    I would like to learn how to make a channel bracelet with rows of herringbone on the side. I like cube bead bracelets too. Is your preference for the 3 seed beads on the edges of the tila's or do you prefer it plain? Love this bracelet, the colors of the beads go so well together, Thanks,

  • @chrisphillips1893
    @chrisphillips1893 9 років тому

    G'd Day, Stephanie, Love all three colours. I have Metallic Dark Raspberry Iris tila with a Dark Bronze half tila that I am going to use. Is it your preference to use Miyuki seed beads? I don't have a lot as I use Toho. I think it would work using the Toho 11/Os and 15/Os but the width of the bracelet would be wider (I think). I am going to see how it will works out. The necklace you showed at the beginning looks very interesting and looks great. I hope that it isn't to long before you post it. I have never done clasps using larger beads, they seem to finish off the bracelet in a chic way. Are they as strong in staying closed while you wear them as do the metal clasps? I have a couple of ideas to fill in the middle part and after doing the "boring housework" will sit down with a large mug of coffee (may be a little wicked cake) in hand and work out my ideas. I'm not on face book and can only do it through sending an email ( well I am working on sending ones to Gina and JP) but I will let you know how my ideas turns out. As always thanks for the video and hear from you soon. Chris

      Kathleen Schell Just wanted you to know, I did make this (twice) with turquoise tila beads and 3mm sterling silver beads instead of fire polished and 15/0 galvanized silver delicas for the pico edge. Oh and I made it 3 tila's tall instead of 2. I wore it to work and got an order to make the second one for a co-worker. They turned out so pretty..so thanks for the great tutorial.

    So Hi Stephanie! LOVE LOVE LOVE you, your designs and videos! I have one challenge, all my bracelets are coming out too big for me. I know I have very small wrists, but, even though I measure and leave an inch between the ends on my wrist, they still come out too loose and big for me.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 років тому +1

      +Tia Jewels Thank you 😊 Bracelet sizing is challenging. Always measure your clasp size and the beads you use to attach the clasp. Those little beads take up space and can make your bracelet long. You can use a bracelet you have that fits you as a model for your beaded bracelets. I use one as a guide. I hope this helps 😃

    Gorgeous, Gorgeous, GORGEOUS! Another must make design. I like it both ways, with or without the seed beaded edges.
    Do you ever plan your designs on paper beforehand, or do you design "off the cuff"? Or maybe you layout the beads on a flat surface first? Just wondering your design process and where you get your inspiration. I've yet to see a design I dislike, for any reason.
    TFS!

      +Michelle's Paper Creations You are the sweetest Michelle 💖🌻😊 Always a kind comment for me! Thank you! I sketch a design on paper first but sometimes a bead, a pattern on a throw pillow or fabric inspires me and I go straight to my bead mat. Stained glass inspires me as does looking through vintage and royal jewelry pieces online.

    • @MichellesHandmadeCreations
      @MichellesHandmadeCreations 7 років тому

      Thanks for your quick reply. TFS! I hadn't thought about stained glass as inspiration, but that sure makes sense. I enjoy browsing the internet for royal jewelry. I'll even go to a favorite clothing site for color inspiration. Sometimes my nephew will post his scenic pics to FB (lives in the mountains and is a photographer) and the colors are inspiring.

    Question: I LOVE this bracelet. It looks like a frame (tila beads) with stained glass (crystals) inside. So beautiful! I'd like to try making the turquoise bracelet, as shown. I don't see where you've used the half tilas in the shots of that colorway that you've shown. Was that just a design change or am I being blind? Thank you!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  8 років тому +2

      Hi Meaghan😄 I didn't use the half-tilas in the tealy turquoise bracelet to make it easier for a beginner to sew. The half tilas in teal and the same seed beads used up in the original would work just as well for the center💜 Love your framed stained glass description!!! I'm inspired to create a new bracelet by your lovely words! Several little rectangular frames of tilas and half tilas with crystals inside and attach them together to make a bracelet. What do you think? 🤓😄😃

    Maybe I missed it, because it was a ten minute intro, but how much thread do you need?

    Can an alternative twin beads as opposed to have 1/2 tila beads. They are very difficult to source here in the UK, the only store that stocks is very expensive. Beautiful bracelets and thanks for sharing.

      Beadyani - Try the twins and see what happens! Sounds like it could work - maybe use all twins in a peyote pattern with an embellishment in between! I might try that too and see what happens : )

      beadydani Update I made the bracelet without twin beads. I used tila, seed beads and bi cones only, I am pleased with the result and it was fun to make. Thanks again for such a good tutorial.

      Hi maria😃 Thank you so much for your lovely comment 💐 The 25 and 35 gm boxes are from Firemountain Gems. However, Aura Crystals and Beads and some other sites have them for considerably less and shipping is cheaper from other sites. You just won't get the boxes.

    I need to come up with a design that is not to hard, to help my daughters. I need a cell phone holder that can be worn around the neck, and tucked into the boosum, when riding rides at the fair, in order to secure the phone. Any thoughts, or a pattern?

      Hi Connie - For some reason I want notified of your comment! I think a cell phone holder is a great idea! maybe something using felt from the craft store and beading around it? Would be easy to make and they could use large beads to make it themselves?

    HI Stephanie, I just watched your videos and I am wondering if you can either message me a link to where you purchase your beads, or list them here... I am more likely to see the message as a private message, as I don't keep your youtube page open all the time... THANKS IN ADVANCE. Pat

    I am wondering on the Tila beads.. I ordered some and they are very tiny.. is that normal.. or did I buy the wrong thing?? When I look at them on the video they look huge!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  9 років тому

      The Tila beads are 5mm so they are small. I'd say a little less than 1/4 inch square if that helps.

      Whew..then I got the right thing.. It drives me nuts tosee the beads on video.. because they always look huge.. glad for the video's though! Thanks!

    I kept breaking my 8 pd fireline any suggestions???

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  4 роки тому +1

      Fireline is generally a very strong thread that rarely breaks. If you are using one long thread it’s possible that passing through the beads many times will soften the thread and it could break. If you take out a lot of stitches that could weaken the thread as well. Sometimes you get a bad batch that has weak spots. Could also be your tension - if you pull too tight the thread could stretch and break after a while. Can’t tell but these are some things that can break thread.

      @@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry thank you. I should've said, I enjoyed the video, thank you! I successfully made this bracelet! My questions was more about what to do with the thread at the end. I've figured out you work back through the design for a bit, then just snip... is that right? Thanks again.

      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  Рік тому

      Oh yes! Weave in your thread and tie a few half hitch knots to secure them😃
