Clever, fun, and structurally sound. Matt's suggestion eases storage.
Don't listen to the haters, Jamison. It's not easy putting these vids together. Keep on creating.
Hi do you still have the plans for this? The link for the plans doesn't seem to work. Super cool project!
The plans are not longer on Ryobis website, is there somewhere else to look for measurements?
Very cool project. wish I was this inventive/skilled.
if I were to build this, I might adapt it so that the slingshot arms are on the outside of the base, extend the base slightly taller, and use two bolts on each side, vertically stacked, instead of one.
this way the second bolt can stabilize to the base when it's in use, but the top bolt could be removed so the arms could fold down to the sides of the base. then you don't need to completely detach the arms from the base, but you can fold them down and just have a "platform" you could leave in place or to carry inside without extra separate pieces.
not sure if it would compromise stability or rigidity when the arms are up though. and I'm not sure if my idea was clear as I'm not much of a builder (yet)
Plan are no longer available? Whoops my bad did a Google search and found them in my video build I put all measurements and which balloon launcher used great video totally inspired me
Fun project.
Thanks Dallan
Other than a hammer, some screw drivers, and cheap drill. I have no power tools, I really want to start building stuff since viewing your channel. What are your recommendations as to where I should start? I cant go out and drop a thousand dollars on a bunch of equipment.
Stan George I'm also still trying to get the inspiration to start. but what I will say is spend within your budget, and focus on tools that are versatile, over tools that are expensive or single purpose. for example, a jigsaw might not be quite as good at the job a band saw can do, but it's a lot cheaper and more flexible due to it's portability. when you find you just can't do the job without a specific tool, graduate to buying something more specialized/appropriate for the task, possibly at greater expense.
stantheindian id suggest a hammer and a Mikita tool bag with a saw a impact driver and a screwdriver all in one its about 300
The best part was the thumbs up approval at 3:31
Hahah I couldn't agree more
I'm going to build 2 and have a water balloon battle with the kids. Awesomeness!
Haha that would be awesome!
I know this video is kinda old but do you happen to have links to the slingshot and launcher? Thanks and really cool backyard game idea
Janie Gonzalez here is the link that has all the links and info:

What do you use for the stretchy rope
Same question, I try with everything from the dollar store, but it's not working 😢
Where did you get the sling shot from?

Sorry man I tried. Like the idea but the music is like Chinese water torture. Could watch it with sound on
Haha I'll make a note of that for my next one.
(Avoid Chinese water torture music for Robert)
Sorry man. I really like your videos but the music is just killing me. Lol
what a waste of resources, would be easier with just 2 poles
Yeah, gotta say, two 5 foot star pickets could have done the job but like he said, you can just set this up anywhere. The distance it goes is pretty underwhelming though.
