Thank you. What you saw were prototypes on the way to the final "Hare Splitter". I may or may not use natural forks for handles, that was simply another experiment along the way, but certainly one that I like!

You are quite incorrect in your assumptions. Firstly, the HareSplitter does not utilize a wrist brace. Also, the Barnettt still requires the wrist to function in a extended position. Furthermore, the HareSplitter features a compound angle on the handle section vs. the barnett. It is the geometry of the handle that makes the HareSplitter unique and the foundation for the patent application. The concept utilizes the strength of the skeleton vs. the tendons/ligature of the wrist.

They are available on a custom order basis. Each is made to fit the end user specifically.

Good idea - thanks for sharing, man! BTW in 2:50 I had to laugh because barely couln't reject that thought: Now the red courtain rises and he will begin to aim on the characters of a Punch and Judy show...

I've been shooting bare back recently, and enjoying it. this technique requires a pretty straight wrist, and a flip at the shot.
I've been speculating on a variant, actually, the opposite of your pattern: lean the forms slightly forward. This would facilitate the flip at least. I haven't tried it yet, but have you any thoughts on this?

Nice design !! very informative. Is this design a result of Laws that prohibit bracing on the wrist? (The US doesn't have such prohibitions) and the $10 Daisy Wrist Rocket with the wrist brace ( swap out those wimpy yellow elastics!) allows for similar stretching along the line of the arm bones.

Perhaps you could have named it the "Spidey" after the way Spiderman shoots out web material.

But you're not actually using the instinctive aiming. It looked like you were aiming down the bands on each shot?

Where did you get band like that. Please give me the link

It is certainly not for everyone and custom made gear generally does not come cheap. Time has proven over and over that tree forks and rocks take game with ease. Some folks simply want to, or need to use a frame that reduces strain on the wrist.

That design of sling shot or Catapult is not new by any means..My grandfather always used a catapult that shape away back in the 70's and so did i. He cut his from the root of "Black Thorne" as the stems grew all shapes and also it matched his walking sticks lol.. Mine had elastic bands as i hadn't the strength to draw his catapult lol plus the elastic bands came free from the local post office lol.. Great memories.. Great vid ..

making the catty out of a large deer antler gives you the same exact shape, just saying...not all that revolutionary.
