One BIG lesson I learned with my ads is to pay attention to who the analytics is telling you your audience is. I assumed my audience was 24-38 ish when actually they’re 55-65...I sell baby stuff so it’s the grandmas not the mommy’s clicking on my links. 💫

how did you figure out their age? does it say that in the analytics?

I wanted to add that this thing of targeting is testing. You will not know all the time who exactly wants what you sell, outside of age and gender.. You won't know what shows they watch , where they go , etc. Always test. I was pleased with my last lead based ads for a wine business. I did women, over 25 who liked certain wine brands. From there I saw who completed the offer. For a YT ad, I simply did Display ads based on keyword search.
Absolutely! Testing is key, but there are ways to know their interests, and it can be essential depending on what you're selling, but I completely get your points and they're totally true.

I just launched my online boutique yesterday and I've gotten 4 sales so far, one from a friend and 3 locals. Wondering if this is good for a day, or how many sales within launch day is ideal? Love your content!!! :)
Hey! Congrats on your launch! As far as sales, you have to decide what's good and what's not. Don't try and live up to anyone else's standards. Start making revenue goals for yourself based on what you'd like to make (and push yourself because you're capable of more than you think), then measure your success based on your goals.

I'm a new online boutique owner. Launched in July and I've made 4 sales- all family and one friend. What can I fix?? Feeling extremely discouraged at the point.
Don't be discouraged. I've had multiple businesses that failed before the one I have now. Sometimes it just takes a few tries to get it right, but please don't give up! As far as "fixing it" I'd need to see your brand in order to know what can be improved. What's your website and instagram?

@@manifestingwithmadi The biggest thing I see right away are the images. You need to make it clear who your ideal customer is and have your own models show off the clothes. Make sure you style the clothes to look how your ideal customer would wear them as well.You probably also need to get more traffic. Half of the battle with getting more sales is getting your products in front of new people.
@@DoniBrown thank you for the guidance. About 80% of the inventory is from a dropshipping wholesaler. At the moment I've got one model that has been great. Looking to source more models and eventually myself after I have my baby in three weeks. I just ordered new fall inventory and will most likely drop the dropshipping wholesaler.

It really just depends on my goal for the ad and the type of audience I'm trying to attract because some audiences are naturally bigger, and some audiences are too niche/hard to specifically target in the targeting settings. So yes, I will if I have to, but normally I don't.
