This is an incredibly important message. How much terrible and evil destruction is wrought upon this earth by people who want to be “cool”, “cutting edge”, “on the right side of history” or “hip”???

Paul’s statement to the believers in Rome: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
As RC mentioned: where the name of his program comes from. As powerful as any statement in the world, and likely far, far more powerful than any one can think of. And yet, also the rarest, most difficult, and elusive path to find. That is, without the calling of him who saves…

15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. God renewed Paul mind by causing him to be blind for three days..

There is no scripture that says his blindness caused a renewed mind. But there are Scriptures on Paul spending years after his calling reading scripture, studying it, and being taught by God. This renewed him as he already new the Scriptures, but from a pharisaic mind, not God centered, but man centered.

In Acts 9 Paul's transformation comes with his sight, we read the words of Ananias, "the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." After that Paul was baptized. Then in Paul's own words we read, "But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles.....For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ." It was at this point he was renewed.

@@velociray Paul was brought to faith by his meeting with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, and that encounter was verified by the blindness followed by the restoration of his sight. Paul's mind was transformed by the Holy Spirit of God, who opens the understanding of God's word to all who receive Him in Christ. Thus Jesus called Him the Spirit of Truth, who testifies about Jesus by calling His word into remembrance and reproving the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment as told by Jesus in John 16.

I have never wanted to with it. And I would have hated for some busy body deciding I was lonely and a potential mass shooter and interrupt my reading insisting I need to join their group. In fact I would rather have been invited to spend time with the adults not children my own age. That would have been torture.
