Brandon is the epitomy of every aspiring accordion player around. His super smooth style of playing makes it look effortless to the uninitiated. As well as that he is also a talented country singer and a very genuine guy.
Punching above his weight? Never. Punching with the best? Definitely. Well done Brandon, I'm old enough to have had the pleasure of hearing many of the Greats and good pals of my old Dad who played button box learned from his youthful days in the Bothy, never to the standard of yourself, Jim Blue, Powrie and the rest, but he sure entertained "The Bothy Cat".
These great Scottish accordionists and their talented band sure know their stuff and play these beautiful reels in unison together with clarity and finesse.
Excellent playing. Reminds me of the happy times we had at the Saturday night dances in the Embo village hall in the 1950s. When the boys were not dancing they were either fighting or stopping fights! But the bobbies rarely intervened and just kept their place at the door. Those were the days.
Wonderful and enjoyable.....I often had an argument about the use of all four fingers whilst playing the button key box. I was also told in no uncertain terms by many players, admittedly mostly two row players, that using three fingers was sufficient and that there was no need to use the little finger..Well trying playing like Brandon McPhee without the use of the 'pinky'...
Great playing here...compliments,but it's NOTHING to do with the real Shand' message. Do not let fooling you,..public cattle!!! Its pure commercial deception.Sorry,but please WAKE UP!!!! Great player our Brandon,but we should not be commercially misused.And...Brandon really doesn't need a thing of this,of which he's aware..He will find his own way,...without misusing the name of Shand,that is.SO...please...stop this.
