Earth 616 is untouchable. However, the Ultimate comics made a legendary incarnation of the character. Also, the Ultimate TV series had a very unique Dr. Octopus that became one of the most powerful incarnations of the character.

I genuinely love this tierlist! I have a softspot for the comics, So my personal favorite design I would say The Web of Spiderman (1985 comic Issue 5) design, it mixes his labcoat with the whole green vibe and I think it's pretty neat! but its a really underutilized design which is unfortunate. But I really agree with alot of this tierlist!

ok but seriously HAHAHA great video. White suit should be S+ though, that's just objectively the best and totally not for any other reason..... 6_6; My only thing is that I feel like the variation in the green-and-yellow spandex/jumpsuit is so wide that it's hard to classify in one tier.
I think a lot of it comes down to fabric for me! Some versions (like at 3:14) are so good! It has just the right balance of crinkle and shine. It looks comfortable and easy to work in! The colors are chosen well (not too garish) and percentages balanced (not to much yellow, but it's enough). Some (like 3:00) are mid. Iconic, but a little too tight for my taste? Weridly shiny and looks uncomfortable ToT The yellow feels a little overpowered, but it's still good design-wise! Others however are just really lacking, but I feel that mostly comes down to style limitations (early animation) or time/size constraints.
C is a good general class to include the lower-ranking designs, but I feel like it definitely could have been bumped up to B, if only for the iconic base design that's clearly got something going for it if it's held out for so long!

That's true! That's because he was played by the same actor who voiced him in the 90s TV show! Though, I didn't know that at the time of making this video so that's why I didn't mention it.

Ultimate Spider-Man’s Otto has grown on me, I also didn’t like him very much at first but I’ve started to enjoy the wildly different design. Creepy and wet. Also my problematic ass loves that he’s a stalker. Heh
Spectacular Spider-Man should’ve gotten s tier he’s so cute and squishy. Overall though very based ranking. Though I would’ve put no way home otto in s for the cute curly hair alone 🥺

I know that Doc Ock being fat makes more sense because he’s a scientist that doesn’t walk on his own two legs or pick things up with his own two arms but I still Love the Buff Designs of Doc Ock.
If they fit into the context of whatever story it's in then yeah, those designs can totally work and I have to agree that some of them are even quite cool!

I actually sat for an entire day debating if superior spider-man should be on this list, but I opted not to as that counts as a spider-man design technically. Maybe in the future though!!

Hi! I really like the design for freshman year! Its a great mix between a lot of his early designs whilst still being its own thing. Only reason I didn't bring it up here is cuz' we only have that one single image so far RIP
As for more armour based designs i think they can work well especially if they go along with the theme of the arms! It all depends on how its done!
Also also about the Spider-Man 2 thing that's fair.

While it's technically more of a Spider-Man design I can't deny that it's absolutely awesome! The use of the contrasting black and white works well and the unique symbol is great too!
