- 🚗 Maruti Spresso is priced in between ₹ 3.69 lakh and ₹ 4.91 lakh ex-showroom.
- Kwid is available in five variants: Standard, RXE, RXL, RXT and Climber.
- Maruti offers the SPresso in four trims: Std, Lxi, Vxi and Vxi+. It gets an AMT transmission only in the top-spec Vxi variants, thereby taking the variant count to six.
Kwid is offered with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, a reverse parking camera, power steering, manual AC, a rear seat armrest, a 12V charger for rear passengers and a front wiper. And in terms of Safety features comprise of a driver airbag, ABS, front seatbelt reminder, overspeeding alert system, central locking, retractable three-point rear seatbelts, front seatbelts with pretensioners, and child safety locks for the rear doors.
S-Presso offers a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert, and front seatbelt reminder as standard across all variants. And top-spec variant comes with a front passenger airbag and front seatbelt pretensioners, they are available as an option on the others. The S-Presso also gets a digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front power windows, and more.

Simple reason people are still using 35 yr old maruti m800 even now, while people are selling 3 or 4 yr old kwids
The kwid is definitely the better looking car. But the espresso seems to be a better overall package. Just wish Maruti would up the design and styling.
Maruti engineers have challenged the Automobile industry that their ugliest car can outsell the prettiest car in the same segment.. Sadly they’ll win the challenge !

They have always challenged the markets with rits and ignis. Rits was a success and ignis is now picking up sales with the facelifts. And the same will happen with spresso also.

At the end..it is engine, after sales services, boot space, ground clearance, and resale value..so the winner is S-Presso (Kwid is with makeup and S-Presso is without).

Nice comparison video well-done ; Kwid plus points way better styling , ride quality , braking , reverse camera limited pros but in S-presso best engine ( BS 6 ) in this entry level segment , fun to drive , way better AMT transmission with manual + -- mode , more mileage , superior interior cabin space , better steering feel , great sitting position ( mini SUV feel ) , super AC , better plastic quality , better sound ( music ) quality , in short in all major departments S-presso excels ; first up all test drive both & feel the difference ; Happy driving...
Also s presso has better chasis ,kwid is lighter than spresso and alto k10
Also spresso got codriver airbag and seat belt prerensioners as optional across the range for just rs 7000. And also got speed sensitive auto door lock. Seat belt pretensioners and speed sensitive autodoor locks are absent in kwid.
The S-Presso got the looks for all the wrong reasons, I'm pretty sure
They have faced the same issues with rits, even along with swift it had good number of sales.

@@NalinKhurb but rits faced much more critisism than spresso at that time, you will love a cars design when you use it for long time. Many people who took kwid based on the design are avoiding the car in 3 to 4 yrs of use.

For Ritz, maybe it was because of the price point. Close to swift, people were picky about the design. For S-Presso, the consumer should be less picky in my opinion, because they want an ultra compact city car and in many cases budget constraints
@@NalinKhurb with spresso they are trying to improve the space. Space being a great concern in alto. Body quality is not gud but for the price its acceptable. Eventhough they are offering 2 airbags and seat belt pretensioners as an option from the base varient just for rs 7000 extra.
I accept the quality of maruti cars upto wagon r bcz they are cheap cars, but for swift, baleno, dezire, and ciaz its unacceptable.
Still spresso is the most selling car in November with 8th position
You guys have messed up the features of the kwid.... the kwid comes with four speakers not two as you said... and all power windows not front alone as you said... come in i was able to find it out just by seeing the video... you guys drove it 🤦🏻♂️
Overall Renualt Kwid is a better car anyday.
Though the bitter truth every body would agree with is that SPresso will sell in more numbers because of MS brand name.
MS also provides better service network.

I agree with your conclusion but my friend on road price spresso -1 variant in bangalore is 6 lakh for AMT WITHOUT Alloys or touch screen or back power windows or many other missing features.
Where as with 30K more you get a Celerio from Maruti Or with 1 lakh more you get a legend Wagon R.

That is way overpriced. I checked cardekho and it shows 5.44 in Kochi and 5.8 in Bangalore.

I personally hate the Spresso, thats not something i normally say about automobiles. If I ever were to choose between the two, i would go go the Kwid regardless of its shortcomings
Nice spreso automatic ...i love it.
Spresso has combination of AMT and manual gear shift knob. , Kwid has not
I think, S-presso has the issue of stearing return (self centering)
after a sharp turn, which I feel after taking a test drive, yesterday,
and it is very weird. You people should emphasize this problem for the
awareness of the prospective buyers. I am not sure if Kwid has also the
same issue, because I have not taken any test drive of Kwid...
Kwid steering wheel does not automatically return either. I have done Kwid AMT test drive which is better to drive than KWID MT

Overall the S-Presso is better and there are no 2 ways about it , but there is some desirability factor which the kwid has that just makes it so much more desirable !

k seres in s presso and Alto k10 are legues ahed in terms of perfomance compared to kwid 1L low end and top end of k seres is fantastic , but fun fact is that kwid is lighter than s presso and people calling s presso tin ,then what kwid will be but no deniying that kwid look better than s presso
...but !! Over all, spresso is faar better.

S presso is a very practical car. you need to get used to the looks, because it's different. But i think it's good for certain colours whereas in some colour schemes it looks odd.

Bought a VXI Plus a month back. Car is good but steering and front seats have bad ergonomics. Steering is small and very close to dashboard. Arms begun to pain after some time. Also front seats are not deep enough and are narrow. Very uncomfortable. My Maruti 800 was much more comfortable - steering was big and just at the right angle and closer to the driver. The seats were super comfortable for long drives. In terms of driver comfort, Espresso is much worse than Maruti 800

Looks like a suzuki's paid review, all the negative points of s-presso have not been given a weightage. One of the instances like boot space is similar to qwid, however, there is too much of difference. (You yourself said the ride quality of s-presso is not good, how can you call it a winner? )

S presso has crappy and awful suspension. It literally transfers every road shocks into cabin. On the other hand, kwid rides like a car from two segments above ❤️❤️ kwid's suspension is better than vitara brezza.

मैंने दोनों को चलाया सर क्विड में मजा नहीं आता उतना जितना फील S Presoo का मजा आता है एवरेज -22 ग्राउंड क्लीनर्स काफी है और नो रीसेल क्विड को नहीं मारुती आधी रात्त को बिकेगी और एक बात जो मैंने ध्यान से देखि है ओ की मै S Presoo को छोटे बड़े किराये से भी चलाता हु बल्कि क्विड को कोण ले जायेगा किराये से hight काफी कम है और इंजिन का काफी आवाज आता है क्विड में S Pressoo काफी स्मूथ है मुझे 6 महीने हुए लेके सर thanks

S presso car design looks like ugly but performance is better then kwid. S presso is awesome to drive, and more spacious. We feel more comfortable in s presso.

If you look for comfort (may as driver or passenger ) S presso is far better where as kwid has poor comfort when compared. Of you look for outer design Kwid has good shape and colors

Except the higher end cars, all other Indian cars except the kwid are ugly as hell. Maruti should copy Renault’s design or Renault should copy Maruti’s engines. I am going anyway with the kwid, but I will still be making a little of engine compromise. Had Renault been successful in refining the engine, I would have been with ZERO regrets! I don’t regrets as such, but no one can deny Maruti’s experience with the engines.
