- How far are we going with these small hatchbacks? Plenty far, as it turns out. But for all intents and purposes, the Kwid and S-Presso isn't the freshest bit of news, so we decided to do things a touch... differently. We asked ourselves a simple question: what's the one thing you'd not be doing in cars like the Kwid and the S-Presso? And who'd you have as passengers to come along with you? This video has the answers. Well, kind of.

Last week I took test test drives of S Presso and Santro, similarly priced cars, Santro felt like old i10 , S Presso was more spacious but quality, fit and finish were pathetic
Performance wise s-presso is good..... bt still feels like "dabba"...

whats the price of ignis , i got spresso vxi + at 4.8 lkhs , u will get into a vicious cycle of +50 K if u cant make up mind , so buy the cheapest car

I think, S-presso has the issue of stearing return (self centering)
after a sharp turn, which I feel after taking a test drive, yesterday,
and it is very weird. You people should emphasize this problem for the
awareness of the prospective buyers. Even, Ignis has the same issue,
which I took a test drive around one year back. I am not sure if Wagon-R
has also the same issue or not. I am going to drive wagon-R very soon to
check this issue... No idea about Kwid, because never driven any Renault
car so far...
frankly after seeing this video ,anyone can surely tell they were doing MARUTI S-PRESSO advertisement , it was not a comparison review .

Any previous version kwid owners should confirm this. When driving it looses all electricals (including brake assist, speedo) for few seconds and come back. This is for a kwid within 1 year of purchase, I have seen other people experiencing same from comments in a different video, is this a common issue?
Hey, Atul. We can't attest that issue yet because we haven't lived with either long term. The cars you see in this video are fresh media cars with minimal kilometers logged on the odo. The way all media houses get them for their stories. But thanks for the feedback. Will look into it.
@@raunakajinkya90 If doing a long term review, just check if speedo goes black. At that time brake will reduce, so always be ready to do engine braking and hand brake. This is an experience from an 800cc previous version kwid hope renault might resolved it in newer one

but what about the horrendous design of s-presso? Safety? built quality? Also, I noticed more body roll on s-presso on the video
This is the paid review.. i guess ..they didn't mentioned all the negatives expect telling bad design.. Kwid fit and finish is improved from the previous model.. the quality of plastics on dashboard feels like Renault captur...and expresso doesn't perform well in ride quality..the steering is tight ,bumps on the potholes, more body roll like you said .. Expresso engine is peppy and refined that's it... highway and stability and three digit speeds on kwid is awesome..where espresso doesn't feels planted on road
For looks go for kwid ...and engine xpressos ....both good at this price range

Though Espressor has body roll and quirky looks. It is far superior than Kwid. Clear winner!

Kwid is always a better small hatch. Hill climb and hill dissent is a best compared to any type of car. Manual gearbox is exceptional with a smooth gear shift. The ground clearance with a electric motor stearing is excellent. The petrol motor is not only ment for city driving manages well on highyays too..!! Maruthi suzuki despite of getting dominated by kwid in its segment has introduced a espresso with least offerings inside and outside of a car. Indians sentiment with maruthi suzuki has changed a game..!!

As per my experience S Presso is better.
Nice presentation as always, but I wanted a little more in-depth head-on comparison, eg- which car is more comfortable etc.
Very very disappointing from Powerdrift! I feel as a well established youtube automobile review channel, it is your responsibility to induce the ultimate feature called 'safety' to the viewers. And both these cars are absolute examples of what an unsafe car is. These cars dont deserve to be in my garage or anybody's or on road. A life of an individual is more important than any features, your views or subscribers, sales numbers, mileage, service centres or cost. Maintaining a car is easier than spending for surgeries in hospital. It is Powerdrifts responsibility to educate this to viewers. Please stop doing reviews of these unsafe cars. Do reviews of those cars that are safe based on crash tests. This will eventually lead the viewers in buying safe cars and encourage manufacturers to produce safe cars. I have promised my family that my next car is either from Tata or Mahindra that makes safe cars and are affordable. Now its upto to Powerdrift. U want views, sponsors and subscribers, continue wat u r doin. Or encourage safety as main feature to save lives! U decide!
As much as i would want to support your view the thing is, the Indian govt. must be looking after the safety and wellbeing of it's citizen and not powerdrift because they are doing their bit to educate the masses and help them make an informed decision. However this review felt like a complete biased review and kind of an advert by suzuki because nobody spoke about the interiors or the body roll of the S presso which clearly felt scary and yes that hideous looking box from the outside!
Hey, timone1423. You've brought up an excellent point. Safety is an extremely important aspect that deserves its share of the spotlight. More than its fair share, I'd say. It's just that for this particular video, we wanted to focus a bit more on the lighter side of things. That's not to say that we won't be focusing on the safety aspect in future videos, but I just want to reinforce that this video merited a different treatment in our eyes.

Kwid was a pain in climbing hills.
You're not too far off the mark, but it does surprise you a bit, to be honest. Rohan certainly liked it.

Wow what an beautiful paid review yes s pressing has a bit more peppier engine aswell as gearbox but when it came to ride quality handling , looks., Features interior quality they didn't mentioned anything.....m
They did, watch what Rohan said about Kwid’s plastic quality. S-Presso has better quality interiors. Sit in both the cars you will definitely find the quality of S-Presso to be better.
I myself has Kwid but quality of S Presso is better. Kwid is lighter than S-Presso despite being larger in dimensions than S-Presso (that hints to which car has better build).
Love/hate India on Suzuki is like our Love/Hate on Toyota in Indonesia.

Good for city drive. Dangerous in highways. Good car, but failed in design. Narrow look is the flaw in design. If the width was atleast 1600 mm, then it will look attractive, even more stable and confident in highways too. Looking for a change in future facelift.
