Riding down the highway and saw a pickup truck with a sticker in the back winder that read "The Crappie Connection". So here I am trying to find out how to get December crappie. 😂
I bought a 14ft pole last year and have only caught a handful of fish on it. Does this technique not work very well in clear highland reservoirs? I’m struggling.
Clear Water is going to make it harder to vertical jig in clear water. You about have to catch them 30 feet or more down. I would cast to them or through a slip bobber to those clear water fish. Take that long rod to a dirty water lakes and you'll have a blast. Best of luck!

Thanks for the info! I like the stop knot that comes with that Thill float. What material do you like to retie new ones?
What size reels are you using?

Casting might be a great option for you

My lake is frozen up here in Indiana. Sad 😢
Well I give up. I’m sure it’s my fault but never had problem before. Had a tough day and was gonna watch and relax but didn’t work.
Spinning pole not a casting rod.
