I just started baking crappie. Panko, Parmesan, thyme, and teaspoon of melted butter on top each fillet before going in the oven. Better than fried and better for you.
Love the videos. When you say upper osage does that mean above bucksaw. Im going to take a stab at live scoping crappies dont know much about winter crappie. Been watching all your videos looks like alot of fun.
Love your videos, Mike! Question for you: My father and I usually fish around KC and LOZ, but we've made a trip or two to Truman because of your videos. How do you navigate all those stumps without destroying your livescope transducer and/or your trolling motor? We had to replace the blade on our trolling motor after an encounter with a stump... Seriously, what's the secret to dodging them? Keep up the great work!
The key to navigating Truman is to have a good map on your electronics. I run Humminbird electronics for mapping, side imaging, down imaging and traditional 2D sonar. Humminbird's Lake Master mapping is the best in my opinion. Stay in the channel when running. Go slow and be cautious. But, with that said, there are a lot of stumps that show up in places where they are unexpected. I know a lot of veteran Truman fishermen who have had to replace props, trolling motors and lower units. Me included. I love Truman and the risk is worth the reward to me. It may not be to you. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@MikeBakerVideos Any sane person wouldn't risk a thousand dollar boat motor for the reward of a few filets...but we are crappie fishermen. No one ever accused us of being sane! :) Thanks for the advice!
@@chadwickes5006 I have the transducer mounted on the trolling motor shaft if that’s what you’re asking. I have the graph mounted on a double Beat Down mount.
