Bees are so good to have around and I know you like bugs anyway, so if you can, avoid knocking down the hive this late in the year -with no flowers blooming they would never be able to collect enough energy to rebuild, and just die off. What you might try is wait until the weather gets REALLY cold, then they'll be in deep torpor, and if the hive can be dislodged without falling apart, you could just move it up to that tree area or something.
Great to see you back to basics out swinging JD .!!! Scooby must be happy. Hillbilly snowcones and shooting coins for ramen. Coinstar hunts. Miss the old days. Thanks man!
So good to see you again!! Looking sharp in the glasses, you look really nice in them. This was a fun haul. I just love watching these. What a spectacular view you have!!
At 3:40, that aluminum thing looks like the kind of spout you'd have on a box of table salt, flattened out. But that ain't quite it, that piece of wire tells me it's from something else, but the same idea.
So glad to see an 'old school metal detecting' video from you! I was kinda hoping you'd show that child's ring cleaned up though -looked like it might have some neat stamped designs or maybe lettering on it. And being aluminum it would be so easy to reshape on a mandrel (something tells me you have one).
I plan on showing it in the beginning of the next video at this location. It says "high school" on it. Never found that kind before. And these cheap aluminum kids rings are not full circles, so you can't straighten them very well. And if you try too much you just end up ripping the ends off. They're quite thin. lol
That aluminium piece is the spout to an old salt container. It would pull out of the cardboard cylinder. They used them as chicken blinders back in the day. That's whybthey are bent out flat.
Ya'll see the giant bee hive? I gotta knock that down soon. lol
Be careful Brother 🤣
Oh my gosh, I saw that!!! Yikes!
