Pur Ti Miro was his lullaby and we loved the L'Arpeggiata version, but this is truly lovely and brought a tear to my eye. I wish I could have listened to it with him by my side.

In the past composers borrowed from each other freely, Handel was quite the kleptomaniac, of his own works and others. There is much conjecture on this duet, but as somebody commented, no Titian painting is pure Titian, so why do we worry if this bit of Monteverdi isn’t pure Monteverdi?
