Fantastic project! And an excellent tutorial. You’re great at teaching! Those snaps are great, I’ve never seen them before. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love these! I don't ever buy much washi, but this makes me want to go out and buy those tubes of it! Especially Christmas! I love the idea of making them about 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 to store photos, and put a blank label on front. Regular Dritz snaps work too.. I just tried it as I have TONS of them from when I sewed shirts... and they have the pearl type fronts in colors, which are so pretty.
Such a great idea and its also a great way to make your own paper anytime youre folding it so that its always facing the right direction. Thank you Lolly!
Thank you for sharing. I know how I will be making my journal envelopes from know on. I love 💕 listening and watching you share your craft projects. You have such a kind and wonderful spirit that shines through when you are teaching and sharing. Thank you 😊
I love this Lolly TFS . Been busy with craft fair and now orders graduation card, baby boy mini album ,Hershey nugget sleeves and yesterday 20 Ling Hing Mui lollipops came in yesterday and she needs it Friday. Thursday is card and Hershey nugget sleeves so busy. Plus real life ain’t good as I have had three passings and two ferules yesterday and this morning . So thank for being here 😊and inspiring me today love watching you. Hope you are well.
Hi! I just LOVE these little pouches!!! I have made 6 of them so far. I did my first one the way you did but on the rest of them I used a glue stick instead of the double sided tape. It is a lot less expensive and works just as well. I also put a coat of mod podge on the inside and it made it real sturdy and the little gusset side pieces stuck to it just fine. I have been using mine in my purse for about a month and have opened and shut it 100 times and is still in great shape. The next ones I make I will do with thebigger gussets so it will open a little bigger. I thought of making them a tad wider but I like the idea of getting 2 from one sheet of paper. Thanks for showing us how to make these.
Great info! I did a wider gusset on this one ua-cam.com/video/ghIMPkYwM9s/v-deo.html You could still keep the actual pouch the same size and just increast the gusset dimensions.
I love that Washi pouch!! Colors are beautiful. I'm sure you have done tons of practice, but I think you did an amazing job of putting on the self laminating sheet (No bubbles)👍. I really appreciate the bookmark suggestion. Great way to use the scraps. 😎
Lolly you are a genius. I love listening to you and I enjoy your teaching style. From a teacher of 25 years, I respect you so much. You have great ideas and a wonderful disposition. Were you ever a classroom teacher? Keep the creative ideas coming! I am retired now due to a multitude of very rare, incurable diseases. I miss my job so much, but I love creating. I plan to try several of your crafts. Thanks again for all the sharing. 💕
thank you! I'm an R.N. (retired) but loved the teaching aspect of it. I also home educated my children for 19 years and teach women's classes at our church. Sorry to hear about your health problems. Crafting gets me though my autoimmune issues.
Lolly Palooza I understand where you’re coming from. The majority of my diseases are all autoimmune. They are truly no fun to deal with. Crafting and art, to me, are very much meditative and keep me out of the really dark mental places. Both things also give me something to focus on other than the pain which is also just good mental practice. Keep up the fun Lolly. I consider you my crafty sister. ❤️
Thank you! You should check out the other Snap Pouch versions on my channel. One is in the links. Card stock with Mod Podge, Card stock with Self Adhesive Laminating Sheets, and Card Stock with Fabric on it! :)
Ditto. I subscribed too. I don't even have washi tape! Have one roll of floral masking tape. Pouches are handy and this is a happy, entertaining project.
Wow, I've never seen anything like this!!! I thought I knew about most crafts but this is a first for me. I didn't even know what Washi was? I really enjoyed watching. Loads of Love from GA, USA, Diana 💜💗💚
That's such a great idea. Only today I was wondering what to do with two boxes of washi rolls which I thought layed out end to end were long enough to reach to the moon and back 🤔🤪 this I thought is the better option. Thank you for sharing 🌻

Lolly, I love all these pouch tutorials! 🌸 It’s actually really helpful to see you make it more than once...and to see the all the variations of size and materials. Thank you! I just ordered the snaps and snap setting tool through your links. I have a couple of questions. Why don’t you also put the mod-podge or the self adhesive laminating sheets on the inside of the pouches as well? Have you tried that? Wouldn’t it make it sturdier? And, how do you like the heart 💜 and other shaped snaps? Do they work as well and are they as easy to pop open/closed as the circle 🟢 snaps? Thanks so much!
thank you. No, I purchased them online from a fair trade company that sold the bracelets to empower women artisans internationally. Unfortunately, they were emailing me too often so I unsubscribed and now can't remember the company's name.
Now this is cool. I'm new to all of this craft stuff and coloring. Do you have a tutorial on the measurements etc., for making envelopes? Thank you for sharing this cool project 🤗🌸🌺
Not sure if this has been asked already, but what would you sell this for? As always, I love your videos and your creativity. Thank you so much for sharing.
They keep getting cuter! I'm going to try the fabric ones and than the washi. Do you think you can make one a little wider so maybe we can put dollar bills in? TFS
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and I'm hooked! Thank you for sharing this project. One question -- can I use a xyron to put adhesive on the cardstock instead of double sided tape?
it would make them very thick, but the biggest problem would be gluing the accordion sides into the pouches. You would have to use a permanent glue, not paper glue or hot glue.
The washi does not stick permanently, so it would be possible to lift the laminate and pull the washi up with it. The adhesive helps that washi to STAY on the card stock
You'll need to determine your cost (your paper, washi, and snaps). I am poor at pricing items, but I'd think somewhere between $5 and $10? It really depends on the location of the fair, too. Some areas expect lower pricing. Around here, there are higher end fairs where you could really sell them for over $10 easily
The brand is KAM snaps. there is a link under the video in the video description box. I always put links, supplies, etc. there. You have to click to see all of the description.
totally up to you. I sent a birthday card in one, I store mini envelope templates in others ua-cam.com/video/raQCZYZzCyI/v-deo.html but they can also be used in swaps to send goodies, or to store dies or keep track of receipts

The heart snaps are fine. No issue at all. Yes, Mod Podge or lamination would make the pouch stronger, but these are strong enough as is.
@@LollyPalooza perfect. Thank you!

Adorable! tyfs! :)
thank you. So much washi to be used!
Now this is cool. I'm new to all of this craft stuff and coloring. Do you have a tutorial on the measurements etc., for making envelopes? Thank you for sharing this cool project 🤗🌸🌺
Here is the first one ua-cam.com/video/raQCZYZzCyI/v-deo.html the 2nd one is linked under that video
What a great idea. So cute. Can you make the opening sides wider without compromising the structure?
Yes, you can make the accordion longer. LIke instead of 2 X 3.75" make it 3 X 3.75. Still score it every half inch
Could i use heat laminating with this AWSOME project? Love them!!!!
You can, as I have actually used heat lamination, but I would do the one-sided method. Laminating both sides would be super thick.
@@LollyPalooza thank you so much for the info! Your projects r right up my alley

thank you! The washi opens up a whole new area of fun!
Not sure if this has been asked already, but what would you sell this for? As always, I love your videos and your creativity. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have a hard time giving that info, as it depends on what price YOU paid for your supplies, and what value is placed on craft items in YOUR area.
Fantastic idea! Thank you for this awesome tutorial! Hugs....Dina
thank you! I love using the washi
They keep getting cuter! I'm going to try the fabric ones and than the washi. Do you think you can make one a little wider so maybe we can put dollar bills in? TFS
yes, al you have to do is change the card stock measurements from 6 X 9 1/2 to about 6 3/4 X 9 1/2 and everything else is the same
I love your videos lolly
thank you so much
Love 💗
Thank you for sharing
thank you. I love how these look.
Sono molto molto belli, sei veramente brava, ti seguo sempre dalla Italia🙋💞😘
grazie. Sono parte italiana
That's a great idea, but where did u get the laminating sheets? I'd rather do it that way then run it in the Lam machine. T4S 😊
the link is under the video, in the video description area
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and I'm hooked! Thank you for sharing this project. One question -- can I use a xyron to put adhesive on the cardstock instead of double sided tape?
you should be able to, though I wonder if it's more expensive to do that. Not sure. Thanks for watching and getting "hooked" :)
Have you every tried to use a quarter rounder (chopper) to round the flap corners?
I used a corner rounder on the first two versions that I made. ua-cam.com/video/7NItzlwxJRI/v-deo.html
Think laminating both sides would be more durable and thus being able to wipe clean if soiled? Or would they be too thick to fold?
it would make them very thick, but the biggest problem would be gluing the accordion sides into the pouches. You would have to use a permanent glue, not paper glue or hot glue.
Very cute! May I ask why the washi is placed on adhesive. Did you find that the washi lifted under the laminate?
The washi does not stick permanently, so it would be possible to lift the laminate and pull the washi up with it. The adhesive helps that washi to STAY on the card stock
If I wanted to take them to a craft show, what might a recommended price range be?
You'll need to determine your cost (your paper, washi, and snaps). I am poor at pricing items, but I'd think somewhere between $5 and $10? It really depends on the location of the fair, too. Some areas expect lower pricing. Around here, there are higher end fairs where you could really sell them for over $10 easily
