How is upkeep of a colony? Generally speaking for isos? Thank you!

The upkeep is really easy, add in some extra leaf litter every few weeks or once you see no more leaf litter covering the top of the substrate. You can mist the moss or pour a small amount (a tbsp or two) water in one corner of the mossy side every week or so to maintain dampness and humidity. Supplement feeding once the population grows enough to eat their way through the leaves regularly. I’d say every 6 months or so, the substrate of a 6qt bin like this needs to be changed or you can split the colony / add it to a larger bin and then add fresh substrate and mix in the old with it.

This was neat. I love watching others do their bins, and also explain why the do things and sometimes, why they don't do others! haha.
    Hope they're doing amazing!

Thank you! I watch a lot of bin set up videos myself, even after keeping isopods for years.. you can always learn something new. 🙂
